i though she lived 4 a significantly long time in the manga( she look older anyway whether from stress or age who knows ). the story plot also branches away from manga in the anime. ending r almost the same, as claire is about to die chrno comes back and the two run to embrace each other, it ends thier. i though the manga was sadder personally.

@coorocrow Yeah. in the manga she is 24 when she dies. She's been waiting 8 years for him to return. That made it harder. the only thing i wish they had done differently was show a little more of their reunion. Like them sitting in a pew just the anime would've been perfect. I love how much more the manga has of him as an adult. Not to mention...what the HECK was he doing for 8 years? holy crap he's late!

@IRONICxLOVE Eh.... Different not really. She still dies. But in the anime it's much sadder and much harsher and they die together. She lives a few extra months because Chrono came back from wherever the hell he went off too. But yeah. She's still 16 it's just less harder to read. Unlike the anime where it's like needles are stabbing you.

@karinchan1994 personally i found the manga harsher. She was left alone by him. Not only left alone but for 8 whole years is waiting for his return. She dies at 24 right when they're reunited. At least in the anime they were always together and even had a bit of time just the two of them before passing away.

@knark0kenark Yeah but I hated watching her die. Like step-by-step as the sun sunk and the tears fell. It just hurt so much more, but to read it how she was having an attack but all of a sudden he busts the door down and they embrace. I like to think there was a little time before she died. The manga leaves more to the imagination :)

@IRONICxLOVE The story is actually a lot different. From the carnival on they go different ways. The endings are similar in ways but a lot more time passes in the manga. I definitely recommend reading it. I enjoyed it more then the anime in most ways even though the anime was so good. Lots more of big Chrono!

I've read a little bit of the manga and as far as i can tell it was horrible copared to the anime. Every chapter was like one episode yust much much shorter.

There were several differences. In general, the anime focused much more on the Chrno/Rosette relationship, but the manga had more developed characters and a better story. But there were some things that just made no sense, such as the ending (anime = world is saved, but aion is reborn and roams the earth; manga = chrno must be dead, or else he wouldn't have appeared to rosette years later with a missing arm, but he also has to be alive because shader survived the explosion).

If you watch the anime it has a sad ending. However if you read the manga, I couldn't figure out how I wanted to feel about the ending in that though because it leaves a lot to the imagination IMO.
