Blizzard is completely removing him in multiplayer and replacing him with a new protoss air unit basically made to counter mass-muta. At least hes going out with the mothership by his side too. Carrier is situational. That is why its rarely used. Generally, the carrier is used against Zerg. But still, it is rarely used because it is counter-able.

Carriers are just more tank, lower and not overly effective if directly taken on with air units, they are used differently, even if you rushed out fleet beacon and it cost the same, I'd be making a void ray for early game harass not a carrier.

This doesn't make any sense. Why would Blizzard remove it? They see that it's not used so much and then they decide to take it out. But that's just it, they didn't even TRY to change it. The Carrier has received no changes affecting balance from the start of beta to the present and Blizzard just gave up without even giving it one buff. Why not remove units that weren't used like the warp prism? Instead of removing it, they buffed it and it is used. It's so sad, the carrier never had a chance.

I don't think most people would stick with "old stuffs" just cuz it's already worked out well and has its own style. That's pretty much the same idea as people sticking with BW instead of going to SC2. I'm not sure if the expansions work that way, but even if so, I doubt the WoL community can sustain for long for good competitive gaming.

NOBODY will complain against the tempest. The only thing they're good against is mutas, but their production is so slow, mutas would outmass. Protoss definitely got the worst of HotS. Terrans can kill tier 3 units with tier 1, so now Blizzard's like "Not only can you beat tier 3 with tier 1, now you can beat it with tier 2 as well!"

Two, allow the Interceptors to keep attacking while a carrier moves. As is the moment you move, all the interceptors break contact which is just horrible.
