It worked on me, but i realized that if you do it with your eyes closed you listen to the commands without the suggestibility, but that's not the point here =D

Screwing with people IS fun. :P Just last night I did some waking hypnosis on a friend to show her what her mind was capable of and I stuck her hands together and made her fight to pull them apart and then was accused of using witchcraft. :P

It almost worked, but before I even moved my a-ok sign, I realized that it was on your cheek instead of your chin. I was already moving my hand, so I kinda changed directions midway before I touched my cheek. lol, I was trained in the ways of deceptive simon says. :D anyway, this was fun. ^u^

In actuality this is not a suggestibility test but a conditioning test -- in order words you do not see how suggestible they are, except that if they don't follow it's a red flag and ignore that person.

I used this is my stage shows where I demonstrate how I control people. It's basically the same as say silk three times quick and answer: cows drink?

These conditioning games are highly entertaining so kudos for that!

@UniqueRecords93 No testing for complicance was just having them move there hand around. The Cheek and Chin thing is the suggestibility test.

@SASRosco03 Right, the Cheek/Chin thing is to test whether their more influenced by Verbal or Visual stimulus. If you put it on your cheek, you respond better to visual induction techniques. If you put it on your chin, you respond better to verbal induction techniques.

There's something I don't fully understand. It is has been said million times that with hypnosis you cannot have someone do something they don't like to do; but that often doesn't seem the case: for instance, even in your show, you got people do crazy things like smell each other's foot... I think almost nobody would be comfortable with smelling a stranger's foot....

@nitoro81 Because the critcal factor is the thing that says "you, what are you doing?" The subconcious mind really doesn't care about that kind of thing so long as it doesn't believe it will harm the individual. Many times when they are smelling the foot the hypnotist has made it smell great or made it smell interesting to him. So the suggestion heard was not "smell the disgusting foot" it was "smell this facinating thing" the concious mind is what makes distinctions between foot and disgusting.

Though, doesn't that precisely mean that, by bypassing the critical factor, you can have people do things they wouldn't normally do if they were in their senses and their critical factor was in charge ?

That was a great exercise. As you said "chin", I was following you right to the cheek, but as you made contact, I actually said aloud, "Oh, wait--you said chin!" When you gave the freeze command, my hand was in midair, halfway from my cheek to my chin. Perhaps I'm not the best subject in the world.

I often have the subject stand a certain way or adjust his stance. I've never had someone refuse or make a misstep.

Ive always wonderd about my suggestibility since i sometimes find hypnosis becoming less effective on me.

As you told me to put it on my chin i hoverd above my cheek and hesitated even though i felt very compliant, any link?
