Too bad pedigree is crappy food. It has corn as the first ingredient. Along with by product meals and corn gluten meal. This stuff shouldn't be allowed on the shelves. If you feed pedigree, you are killing your dog.
@Bleach0190 The funny thing is that if you go to Kroger and see the Kroger brand dog food which is about the cheapest I have ever seen, it has all the exact same ingredients as pedigree. I feed BLUE.
@piepeace Actually, corn is not that bad. Other food brands instead of corn have SOY BEANS. Which are VERY BAD for dogs. And where it says protein, its usually "Hoofs and hair protein" which is NOT digestible, but yes, they can say it has more protein. But Pedigree, it's natural, digestible, protein. Did you know Pedigree is the ONLY dog food that is TIF approved for even human consumption because of its good quality???? :)
And if you think price is a concern, also consider this: You feed less of the premium food because it is more nutrient dense. a 50lb dog would need about 4 cups of pedigree for the same calories of 1 1/2 cups of premium grain free food. And if you take out the calories in the pedigree that is just fillers (corn, brewers rice) you are basically left with not much at all. I have a 40 pound dog and a 14 pound bag of premium food would last me as long or longer than a 50lb bag of pedigree
I wouldn't touch this food with a 10 foot pole... Ground Yellow Corn, Brewers Rice, Ground Whole Wheat, Corn Gluten Meal, Added FD&C Colors (Yellow 6, Yellow 5, Blue 2) have no place in a dog's diet...
And the bulldog in the video...? I wouldn't spend thousands of dollars on Bulldog puppy to feed it something like Pedigree. They have enough health problems as it is.
@cheshirecat14 You are right. And there have been reports of dogs getting bad, red, swollen rashes on various places on the dog's body because of eating pedigree.
What's the dog breed at 0:22 that opens sticks out it's tongue? (it's the very last dog to appear in the commercial)
