  • Title should be "Idiot player calls to the end with 22"

  • just once in my life i'd like to see Ivey be on the unlucky side of things... greatest player in the world, sure, but he's never the one holding the full house against quads.

  • @butterf1yz history is written by the winners, it does happen but no1 cares about some Dbag who beat ivey while holding quads vs a full house

  • @schumi26 i totally agree with you about preflop action. On the river, i think perner was trying to outsmart ivey by calling a big bluff, because he lost 50k to him previously. He just ended up giving more away...

  • keep calling with pocket deuces on this board? And Preflop play from Perner was bad as well. Calling only the 7k? i would have 3bet it preflop. And strange play on turn and river. It was so obviously that ivey has hit something from the board. He threw 162k for nothing away lol. Great play by Ivey not to chase Perner away.

  • Working a pair of douches is a recipe for disaster!

  • @BlackDynamiteNYC

Are you talking about the argument that the 2 nimrods below your comment are having?

  • luck

  • i think people wanted to see a paired board with ivey holding a pocket pair quads and the other guy with a pocket pair full house - because they are spoiled

  • Ivey doesnt look Sicilian. Hahahahaha

  • @db10001110101 why sicilian?

  • @db10001110101 haha i got it...the video was mute but now i heard it...XD

  • the title does make it seem like a cooler, but who really cares? It could have been titled, " Asian man in awe at Ivey's hand"

  • When Perner calls on the river, as he pushes his chips in he turns his head and gives Ivey this cocky look. Burned!

  • "i dont think phil sweats" haha thats gold!

  • I'd like to just watch Ivey play all day...

  • title fail

  • Never go against a sicilian when death is on the line...LOL

  • How is it a bad title? Ivey had quads, perner had a full book 7's full of 2's? lol

  • @sikfreak6969 I was thinking perner would have gotten a 2 o n the turn, then ivey get a 7 on the river.

  • @sikfreak6969 because people when they read the title would assume its like AA vs KK on AKKxx or something but not 87 vs 22 on J7787

  • @distantkomakino well there fucking idiots then, dont even explain it for them let them smash a window trying to figure it out

  • @sikfreak6969 full boat*

  • @max34be In Australia, we like to call them full books too =)

  • @sikfreak6969 really?? i never heard the expression. i thought he just misheard boat for book. my bad then

  • Never go in against a sicilean when death is on the line! Princess bride all the way

  • I likw the video but dislike perner. Any fool that stays in wit pocket deuces with possible trips on the flop and possible flush on turn deserves to lose. What place did that fool finish?

  • Ho-ley-shit. Ouch.

  • Once he called the flop and turn he has to call the river.

  • Whats misleading?? Its a FH VS Quads

  • The title is misleading or plain wrong. Ivey's hand went from Full House to Quad, not FH vs Quad, duh

  • @sbo1111 what are you talking about??? The title IS correct. The hand IS "Quads vs Full House". Someone needs to study up on poker hand rankings. LOL

  • @sbo1111 Perner had a full house.. ivey had quds.. therefore its a full house vs quads..

  • @sbo1111 : ROFL>ROFL>DELETE COMMENT>ROFL>ROFL

Perner had 7s full of 2s which was a stupid call, & I bet you would call too, DUH>>>>ROFL

Ivey had QUAD 7s, Perner had 7s full of 2s, DUH. 3 OF A KIND WITH A PAIR MAKES A FULL HOUSE> DUH

I bet you would call with a flush> DUH

  • It's pretty much impossible to put Ivey on a 7, quads are so hard to get so you can't blame Perner for thinking he had the goods with a full house. The only thing I'd be worried about would be Ivey pairing the J or the 8 to hit a better full house but that was unlikely and so he had to go for it. He was unlucky. It wasn't a donk move like all the YouTube WSOP winners seem to suggest.

  • @andymacceltic : really bad tactic. Ivey raised pre-flop. Any pocket pair beat Perner. It was a stupid call to put Ivey on a flush, or bluff. 33, 44, 55, 66, 7, 8, 88, 99, 1010, J, JJ, QQ, KK, AA. All of those hands beat Perner. It was a stupid call. I would not have played it after the flop.

  • @BadBoriBoy of course it's bad when you watch it form here. Phil raised before the flop, that could be anything. Im guessing perner put him on ace queen or something like that, he made a read and went with it. Stop being a youtube pro, it's annoying.

  • @andymacceltic

Well, calling the turn cetrainly was a donkey move.

  • He put Ivey on a flush.

  • got Qs full of 8s today at party poker and got fucked by 4 8s not the best feeling >.<

  • ivey didnt even have the nuts

  • Bad title.

  • @PaldinX4 wrong.. on the river ivey made quads but perner had a full house cause he had 22 777..

next time look at the board :)

  • @ARCANINE6 Right... like I said, bad title.

  • @PaldinX4 how is it a title fail its exactly what it said it was...

  • @PaldinX4 You're a bad title!

  • @bierbuik And you are a moron. GJ

  • @PaldinX4 Go fuck yourself asshole, f idiot!

  • @bierbuik Haha, my bad, not a moron, but a retard :)

  • @PaldinX4 yea care to explain how that's a bad title?

  • WAT A DONK LOL

  • Does anyone know the weight of the wsop chips?

  • Ivey doesn't give much away but his lips did slightly move when he hit quads .. Doyle Brunson would have noticed that tell and folded

  • By the river that wasnt a bad call by perner at all

Cause Ivey could have easily missed that flop.. However Ivey is god and had 4 of a kind

  • really stupid call the last one.. he d have lost even if ivey had a jack or 8

  • holy fuck that was awesome

  • the boat got too full so they kicked out a 7.. lol

  • the only way you can get respect from pros like ivy is too always show him you have nuts

  • Ivey.

    Brillant.

  • it should be titled quads and the donkey boat

  • Only a whisky fish can bet on that full.

  • Quadzilla :D

(btw I highly doubt that Perner could have played just about every single street worst one bit...)

  • Perner is a fucking idiot.. oh my god, he doesn't beat ANYTHING on the river.

  • Why do you call it "quad" ? I'm ok with "four of a kind" but as far as i know that point is named "poker". Anyone could help me?

  • @Scafista89 and why do they call AK - Big Slick ? Or AQ - Big Chick and AJ - Slick Willy ? Same as "Broadway" for straight to ace or "wheel" for straight to five ... Why they callin Full House a "Gaf" or "Full boat" ? Who knows ? But "quads" in meaning of four of kind is more then easy to figure out, so u have to be real dumbass ;)

  • @PojebanyMany im just a non-english speaker, and i'm asking why you don't just call it "poker" instead of quad or four of a kind, simple enough :P

  • @Scafista89 Quad is a term for 4. like Quadruple means multiplying by 4, Quadrupling up when your shortstack and beat 4 callers for example. Quadruped can be used to describe a 4 legged animal, although not all 4 legged animals are quadruped. I'm typing this only if you do not understand the term quad, that is what I gather from your post.

  • @breenVA tyvm :)

  • watch funny4moneyhoney for some quality chip tricks

  • quads vs full house???

  • @peedera0, quad sevens vs. sevens full of deuces.

  • this guys sucks ass. horrible call

  • IVEY IVEY IVEY IVEY IVEY IVEY IVEY IVEY IVEY IVEYYYY

  • loll, whatever you guys says, for them losing that much is just pocket change , your talking about millionairess, not some competition where their hungry for cash, these people are just there to have fun, in poker you win some sadly you will lose some, its always like that.

  • strategy might get you far but if you dont have heart forget about iiiiiit!!!

  • he had a history with phil and thought he was trying to steal his blinds (which he was) and made the correct call pre-flop... little did he know how lucky ivey would be in this hand, especially with the river 7, that just made the other guys call that much easier.

But all that aside.... ''how fucking well did Ivey play the hand once he knew he had the best hand to maximise his profits?? Even the way he puts chips into the pot is world class!!'' Great player!

  • @wesleyhoulihan get off his dick for real... lol

  • with the betting pattern, and the call on the turn, the only hand he could put him on was a flush, we all made bad calls before but this one was up there, thats what happens when u try and play 22 out of position unless you hit a set, when phil called his flop bet he should of known then that he was in trouble, and yes phil could of bluffed turn but to value bet the river and call was just bad

  • @jallpimp your explanation don't mean anything. Some best players in the world lost almost their whole fortune made from tournaments on regular poker, poker is more than 50% luck and some skill. He can make a call with Ace high too since ivey is a player known for bluffing.

  • @randykarmakum I cant really explain bluffing concepts floating and betting patterns to a new poker player on youtube but any good experienced poker play can see this was played horrible and really I am talking about the river play because yes you phil could of floated the flop to bluff the turn since he had position but the river made it impossible to bluff, since every possible hand Perner could have hit or already hit. Perners only option was to check check, check fold or bet out half pot

  • HE THOUGHT HE HAD A FLUSH OR A STRAIGHT

  • Perner is such a fish...he committed himself on the flop and then check-call through it.

  • And just to think that Phil's hand was NOT the nuts!

  • @Tehui1974 9-10 of Hearts?

  • love reading poker comments, your all to prooooo for this game

  • what an idiot calling down with 22? and what a stupid title for video makes it sound like they both had big hands, the 22 guy had a crappy hand, he could only beat a bluff

  • @jallpimp sorry poker pro.. you obviously think your the best or have never played live poker. Its hour after hour or playing. We don't know if ivey had bluffed alot before or if he stole alot of pots in succession. We only see this hand so you can't call him an idiot for calling with 22. I wouldn't have called but that doesn't make this person a bad player (incase you hadn't noticed bluffing is a BIG part of poker these days)

  • pokerview is open to us players as well

  • depends but to me sometimes I just look at the cards, plain and simple, few times but you can still tell what they got and it was pretty obvious.. we've all been bluffed but to go that far in this situation shouldn't have happened. you should know your boundaries with each hand you obtain before you make any move.

  • This can't be right. The government must intervene, because black people aren't intelligent enough to play winning Poker. I mean, I go to B.U and I only break even!

  • Great river call...........

  • 1:08 LOL "I don't think Phil sweats?"

  • ivey can turn a flush into a bluff on the river. thank you

  • whatever you have, phil ivey's got the best hand.

  • Dont f00k with Ivey!

  • Whoever said that PartyPojet execs were arrested check your facts. Party Poker has not done business in the US since 2006 because they are a publicly traded company in Europe. Furthermore they have paid the US gov't roughly $150 million in fines with the agreement when online poker is regulated they will be the first and possibly only ones to receive a license since they didn't continue to take US wagers.

  • Man these rigged sites should be banned!!

  • anybody hear about what happened to internet poker. All the bigwigs for absolute poker, partypoker, and full tilt are in jail. The FBI made 11 arrests, froze 76 bank accounts in 13 different countries, and is looking to recover like 3 billion dollars from these guys. How fucked up is this?

  • @pmcgraw13 wtf? for realz? omfg.. that's lame :/ I saw the FBI thing on the sites, just didn't knew what happened till now

  • @pmcgraw13 I know my online account at absolute is frozen you cant play or cash out it fuckin sucks. gonna have to move to england

  • [hil ivey is a monster

  • Y would he call?

  • What an idiot!!

  • love youtube poker pros calling perner a donkey. ivey could've had nothing and he's known for being super loose. judging a player's play by 1 video is completely ignorant. u have to consider the circumstances and the opponent's table image. i can already tell almost everyone who says something like "easy fold" or "bad call, i mean he only had 22, anything could've beaten him" are really easy to get bluffed at because you'd fold your hand when there's an over card.

  • @dh144498 sorry, wrong, easy fold

  • @dh144498

Lol no. You can talk about table image all you want, but Perner still had Jx in his range on the river and Phil (or any good player) is never ever ever going to try and bluff someone off a jack here. This is just not a good board for bluffing.

  • I think the turn call is the worst part of the hand though. Perner might think Phil floats here a lot which is probably true, but everything that had any kind of equity on the flop got there on the turn or picked up outs. The call can just never be profitable, certainly not out of position against a sicko.

  • @dh144498 not if you can see the betting pattern, the phil call on flop, perner's turn call was questionable but river call was just horrible, phil would of gave up if he had a straight or flush on river (he is not value betting those hands and there is no way you can bluff that board on the river) Phil was hoping perner had ajack like he represented on flop thats why he value bet the river, perner didnt look pro in that hand, he looked like a 10nl fish in that hand but everyone has bad hands

  • @dh144498 sup mr perner

  • @dh144498 Wow, you know nothing about shit.

  • @dh144498 perner probably is not a donkey but he played the hand quite irregularly. donk bet, c/c super heavy board at the turn hero call river with worst possible boat. weird.

  • @dh144498

lol, 44 donks that obv dont play a lot of poker

he plays 22 oop vs Ivey, on J77 he donks repping exactly what?

he then check-calls turn and river...

Even an Italian at 10nl could read his hand at this point.

  • @dh144498 I get your point, Ivey is a pretty unpredictable player, so i imagine it be pretty hard to distinguish when he has a real hand and when he's bluffing. I think Perner actually played the hand well until after the flop. I think he should have fired another bet out there on the turn, maybe another 50k. It be a stupid move probably, but it might have saved him from calling that 120k bet after the river came out

  • @dh144498 of course i dont know wether he is a super-hulk-player in other situations but i can can judge his play in this hand: Moronplay.

i d like to know those circumstances which made him play that hand like an idiot. 22? circumstances? image? this board? c'mon u serious?

  • he should know about ivey's variation in play. u just cant put ivey on top 10% hand because he's raising 3x bigblind. all that aside that was a stupid call. since if ivey has anything on the board or a pocket pair he would take it. Bad move there Perner

  • Stupid faggot.

  • These poker sites are lame and I know I was cheated out by some non-human program that collects my money. How is it that when I have been playing on real live webcam poker on pokerview there are no crazy fuking bad beats.

  • well ivey Raised 3x.... i think opponent thought he have like AK AQ KQ. ... never would but ivey on 7 8 .. okei Jack is suspicious... but imo good call.

  • i was at that table i had 9 10 of hearts

  • @papasmurf4040 lol fantast

  • wtf was this call? ivey could had have a 8 or a J. that's what happened when you play versus pros, you really what to beat them even with pocket 2s!

  • with three 7s on board, i'd hardly call pocket twos a full house....you have bottom pair, you dummy.

  • @adam75south

exactly. he was beat by any seven, any eight, any jack or any pair better than 22 and still called. he deserved to lose

  • @Shirazae: So true^^

When I read the title I thought it would be a hand like this:

    Ivey 88

    Opponment AK

Flop AK8 , Turn K, river 8. But no it isnt, its just a bad play^^

  • @Shirazae agreed, complete failboat call. I see it time and time again: non-pros trying to be heroes against pros. Why? Just wait for a solid hand. I mean obviously defend with 22, betting flop is fine, but check fold turn!

  • @Shirazae moron. this game is called poker, not play your cards.

  • @sondre523

that's only true when the hand doesn't go to a showdown. if it does, you'd better have something

I'd have thought something so obvious would be apparent even to you, but I guess not

  • @Shirazae not really dude, phil plays loosely, meaming he calls and raises all the time with nothing hands....so when a flop is flopped like that with players always like to bet to get the pot and the dude had a full house with his 2's...yes its not the best full house but still when someone is constantly raising with nothing all the time like phil u might think u have the best hand also

  • @Shirazae im am not a pro but... i think perner insists ivey hits a flush on turn.... and having a flush is 0% to hit full house..... sorry for bad english :)

  • @jhiizuka but there was a straight flush draw there if someone had 9-10 hearts ofc .

  • @Shirazae 77722 = fullhouse noob ..thats why he called !

  • Comment removed

  • @Shirazae - deserved to loose? I don't completely agree on that. When Ivey called on the flop, Perner put him on a flush draw. And the turn was a 8h and Perner thought Ivey hit his flush... and the river was a very bad card for perner. Any card other than a 7 and perner would have thrown away his ducks. River gave perner a fullhouse and he was still putting Ivey on a flush and made the call.

We can see their cards and we think it was a worst call... lol.... hard luck..... datz poker!

  • @crazystarprp

lol why would Ivey bet a flush when any card makes a full house? I bet you play on Zynga Poker haha Dumbfag

  • @DizzyWalin91 - WOW! so if there is a paired up board and you hit a flush, then you never bet?? lol. I believe you never played for real money in your pathetic life!! Loser!!

  • @windbreaker77 are u stupid bitch??? it is quads vs full house........ Ivey matched with four 7s and other guy matched three 7s and two 2s

  • @mistrevious10 ya'll retards stop replying to my old comment, i clearly stated a week ago that i didn't see perner's pocket deuce.

  • @WindBreaker77 shut up nerd ! You suck at poker anyway. SO you're saying you made some asshole comments but you were too dumb to see what perner had ?
