Is the quality of the song compromised when it is converted? And is M4a the same thing as Mp4 (at the risk of sounding completely stupid).

The format is not mp4 (mp4 is a video format!) the audio format is m4a!

Also, when you change it to an M4a, it's less memory on an Ipod. I love mp3s as much as the next person, but I managed to get an extra 250 songs on a 4gb nano by making them all m4a

Also you can only get m4a music files to work in video dj as soundtrack on sony ericsson fones so i must say this is one of the most helpful videos ive found on youtube 4 a long time......THANK YOU SO MUCH.......5/5!!!!!!!

@HAKRbatchfile So you can used it on things like certain mp3 players and an ipod. If you dont have these, then you don't need to. My mp3 oddly needs this format (I guess its technically an mp4/m4v player?) so I convert all my songs.
