People who are new at the game won't be familiar with all the dodges and comboes (especially since the tutorial mode blows). Sentinel is the most powerful character, so he will be difficult for new players to fight. He is not as slow as a typical power character, his attacks are spammable, and some can home in or stretch. Just look from a new player's point of view.

Sentinels were always just random mooks that were there to be blown up. Since they were robots and not living beings thus the child protection laws allowed Sentinels in children's TV programmes to be hurt horribly and destroyed even which was needed to show off the heroes by defeating "scary dumb giant robots". This was their purpose, same with the STAR WARS prequels where battle droids get killed in the thousands, they can be "killed" or rather destroyed and no legistlation prohibits this.
