"Comet" in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl with Complete 2009 mod

I remember playing old mod called Oblivion Lost:

Chilling in night at campfire, just finished first mission. For no reason I started staring through binoculars on moon. Suddenly it started moving left, stopped and turned red. Then I heard bizarre low roaring sound from far distance. It really freaked me out. I looked around and noticed everyone ran into near basement. I followed them, everything started shaking like at earthquake and all sky started glowing red and orange.

Doe's it land somewhere or do anything else exept look cool? Last time I saw one it went towards Cordon area and Garbage. That's the only place ive seen it go to and I wonder if it actually lands.

I just ran into this myself for the first time, first time using the mod. Scared the daylights out of me. I had night vision enabled when it started to happen and all I saw was this huge bright spot in the sky, I thought it was a nuke going off or something. Turned off the NV and seen what it really was though. Do they change color though or something? I think the one I saw was pinkish.

Shame they happen every night instead of being random though if that's true.

I think i seen it too. I was in Wild Territory, on the Mercenaries sniper spots.. When around 04:00 or 05:00 i noticed the Night just turned Day. I tought it was a bug, or even a controller!.

I was so scared that i didnt even bothered to look trough the window. The light quickly dissapeared within seconds tho. And it was all dark again.

Every night, huh? Totally possible that I've been asleep or inside every night except once when I saw it. And boy, it was such a thrilling experience.

Unfortunately it's not quite as awesome if it happens every night. I thought I had seen some really low-propability event :/

I just saw this comet thing for the first time. (I've had S.T.A.L.K.E.R. for a while but I just installed the Complete 2009 mod a few days ago.) Does this "comet" only appear in the Garbage? Because that's where I was, and it looks like that's where you are as well. Also, what the heck is that weird noise at 0:05, 0:23, and 0:34 in the video? I never heard it myself until just after I saw the comet. Is it related? And why is the comet always at 4:10 every night? Maybe it's actually a UFO... haha

I've found some more information about this "comet" on the Steam forums. Some guy named artistpavel, who apparently programmed this weird display into the Complete 2009 mod, confirms that it's actually a meteor (not a comet).

He doesn't say anything about those weird noises though, and I don't see how they could be caused by a meteor. But they must be related, because other people also heard them at the same time.

so, the mod includes the comet or vanilla STALKER had it already? I just recently boughtt he game and a friend told me to install the mod so I never had the chance to play it vanilla.
