I think the 350z in this video has a de. I have a z and I have to admit, it's slow compared to 300zx. It's only 287 to the crank and about 220 to the wheels. Weigh more as well. Put an hr against them and things will change.

By today's standard the 300zx would be a modern day GTR or z06, almost. 350z was designed to be an affordable sports cars to compete with the mustang and cars alike. All these z32 fans just don't want to admit it but 350z>300zx TT. 300ZX is only making 300hp with twin turbo, while the 350z is making 306hp naturally aspired. 350Z has a bigger engine and weighs less overall. Handles way better and better braking.. 300zx is old technology, don't get me wrong it's a great car for its time.. but put a twin turbo set up in a 350Z it won't even be a close race.

I have owned a 280zx and it accelerates like a baby. it is nothing compared to the 300zxtt. Top gear did not rig this race. No reason to rig it. If I remember correctly from watching this episode that this was a base model 350z. Now the new VQ37HR definately beats the 300zxtt

The 300zx TT is faster than the 350z's from 2001-2006 the 2007 with the HR engine platform producing 300HP+ beats the 300zx TT.
Top gear just does not have the latest 350z
