The beauty, vuinerability, and simple charm of this caused me to burst into tears; we just don't hear playing like this anymore, which by the way is also technically astounding but doesn't draw attention to that fact; Mr.Lipatti was a divine channel for music.
Besides making you feel things, Lipatti also has a way of completely engaging and sustaining your attention. Usually with this movement, I can tune it out, the way most pianists play it. Not with Lipatti however.
Yes, Lipatti makes you feel things. Most other pianists depend on the actual pieces they play to make the audience feel something, but Lipatti does not need to do this.
Lipatti is pure beauty! Well said, ichtyosaur001 - liquidly is a very appropriate word for how he makes the music simply flow.

This is great. A pity about the sound quality.

listening to him all other interpreters seem to play artificially.
How natural and naturally logical this man plays!
The heart opens immediately. Seldomly ever head so pure and "right" tones! this man was more in tune than most others!
I will listen to all his (from him played) pieces

LE MIRACLE LIPATTI
c' est simple, naturel, il n' y a pas de virtuosité "gratuite", ça coule de source, c' est limpide, c' est beau... c'est ça avec un c majuscule.
