the ref said there was no clear evidence that one of the teams came up with the ball...point plank ben fumbled and channing crowder recovered it and even walked away out of the pile with the football in his hands...get some glasses
Gene Steratore also blew a crucial 3rd down call with the Bills and Bengals game. Steve Johnson clearly has a complete catch which was initially ruled complete but some judge with a horrible angle calls it incomplete. Bills challenge, Gene looks at in the replay booth, doesn't take much time to count his money....err....look a the replay then announces it was an incomplete catch.
the nfl is run by the rooney clan, they hate whites with a passion, but, where do these race traitors live? in the 'hood', hell no, this traitor lives in an 'affluent' area,,, wtf does 'affluent mean? look it up, miscegenist....
@SuperVandehei It was a play where Pittsburgh lost the ball as they were about to scoure a TD. The runner fumbled, but initially it was called down by contact. Miami challenged and there was a fumble but Miami was not seen clearly recovering the ball, so Pittsburgh kept the ball at like the 1 and I think scored and Pittsburgh won the game because of it. I remember watching the highlights and I was pissed.
I watched many replays of the play from every camera angle available. Ben did dive for the ball after the fumble. If you deny that then you didn't watch sh... By every angle shown there was at least an equal chance a steeler had the ball. And if you ever played football you would know that if the ref says the plays dead. You move on to the next play. As I live in s Florida I am surrounded by those who feel like you and I sat them down and went over the play on my big screen the very next week
@Cryptoknight52Go to hell. The Steelers get the benefit of the doubt all the time. Like that Ravens game a couple of seasons ago. There's a double standard for the Steelers and you know it. I guarantee if the Dolphins had fumbled the refs would have let the Steelers almighty legendary defense keep possession. They also wouldn't dig a thousand pages into the rule book to make sure that they're being "fair" about the call.
@whaaddupitszaac I haven't watched American football for that long but even I know that the refs got it right. They followed the rules and clearly on the replay there was no evidence that Miami had regained the ball. The referees made the right call unfortunately for Miami. The angst is only because it was Pittsburgh that benefited.
@davedavid86 lawl, halarious. your so right. NOT!! WHAT THE FUCK?! if you havengt been watching american football, then your obviously didnt watch this game, so you werent going to see the instant replay that clearly showed not one, but two dolphins jump all on the ball. if you didnt watch the game, and your just commenting off of what was showed in my video (which wasnt much since i was at thegame and they dont go in depth) then how can you tell me they got the call right? you cant.
You're right, because the Refs blowing the whistle and waving it a touchdown is no reason at all for a Steeler player who could have had it to let go of the ball.
@MuDmAsTeI2 the PRIMARY job of the ref's is to CLEARLY CONCLUDE who has the ball, no matter who blows the whistle. did you ever consider that the ref INCORRECTLY blew the whistle?! which he obviously did. the ball was OUT of ben's hands PRIOR to crossing the goal line, therefore, even though ONE of the ref's INCORRECTLY blew the whistle, it is still their job, and a high priority at that, to conclude who had recovered the ball, which they completely did not do. learn your sports faggot
And as they said, they couldn't conclude who had the ball, hence why the Steelers got possession. Simple fact is Ben fumbled, and they couldn't tell who got the ball. Therefore, Steelers kept the ball . . . and you're pissed about it. Lols, someone seems a little upset his team just lost to the Browns too.
@whaaddupitszaac I agree with this, at the time this is what I was explaining to everyone, what was incorrectly done was blewing the play dead once they assumed Ben crossed the goal line for the TD, but once they did that, they can't go back, unless you're the cleveland browns...
@davidesle you are correct. they shouldn't of ruled the play dead because it was a live ball once if left Ben's hands before his knee was down or he crossed the goal line. A lot of arguments for and against the call have been made since, and all i wanted to do was give my perspective, a MD fans' perspective on it. However i must say, that not only did ESPN say it was a bad call, but when Tony Sparano challenged the league about it, his case was won in that the ref's shouldn't of stopped the play
the refs were right. you may say they had the ball but there was only 95% clarity of it from the review. if they gave the ball to the dolphins it wouldn't be fair to the steelers because they would argue that it wasn't 100% accurate. so anyway you look at it its a double edged sword
I think the referees AND the NFL clearly agreed with the call even a day later........I didn't talk junk and felt bad when we won this way to my dolphins buddy, but i will laugh at all the idiots saying the NFL is fixed. That's when i laugh. Why even watch football? BWAHAHA!!
The reason why they couldn't find out who had the ball was because after they separated the pile on the field they weren't looking for the ball if it was a fumble because the call on the field was a touchdown. And because you can't see through people you can't assume who has the ball. Yeah that Miami player came out of the pile with it, but who's to say that he had it at the bottom of the pile initially gaining possession? That's why they couldn't give the ball to the Dolphins. Can't assume.
the referee responsible for this BULLSHIT was born, raised and still lives 30 MILES FROM PITTSBURGH. Complete and utter BS. Miami got screwed HARD and I'm a Giants fans so I am not biased. F U Big Ben
how was it fixed for miami we clearly knocked the ball out and recoverd it in the endzone. there were three miami players on the ball and a miami defender came up with the ball and the referee who made the call was born and raised in.........PITTSBURGH.total bullshit.and the steelers have a history with referees favorng themo shut the fuk up steeler fans you dont know shit.
no, they lost to the fuckin rules dumbass, quit bitching on youtube and bitch to the people that make the rules and get them to cange them for you, youtube does nothing, oh, and the fact that we are DISPUTING this call proves that miami cant have the ball because there has to be INDISPUTABLE evidence that they recovered, and there is not
hey dipshit, the refs are trained to go by their instincts, if they think its a TD then they are supposed to call it, he was wrong on this one, refs make mistakes, shit happens, but that was the only mistake on the play, and that is not what most fans are mad about, they are mad because they "know" the dolphins had the ball before the scrum
you are a supreme dumbshit. You clearly said that the phins lost to the rules of the game. NO, they lost to a terrible call. Like you said before, the reason they didnt give possession to Miami was because the play was already blown dead so they needed much more conclusive evidence. Well guess what, the play shouldnt have been called dead MORON, so I guess Miami lost primarily to a bad call. Understand brainiac?
just because they follow rules AFTER a terrible call doesnt make things right. Of course close calls get blown sometimes, still doesnt mean they SHOULD happen. Miami got screwed and I'm willing to accept that as part of the game, accidents happen. But are you seriously gonna argue that this wasnt a bad call?
@jmspeece because the ball wasn't fumbled in the endzone, it was fumbled before the endzone. You can't have a fumble going forward. so the ball goes to where it was when it was fumbled.
there was never any proof, Ben claimed he had a hold of the ball and the ref tapped him on the shoulder and told him let go it was a TD... while he had a Miami Player taking cheap shots at his arm in the pile. they can't give possession to Miami without proof. just like they couldnt give the recovered TD to the Steelers without proof. they made a good call in light of a bad situation the got themselves in.
no thats bullshit if they have no proof for either side, why not have a replay? that way both sides get a second chance but nooooo refs just want to give them the TD
@Cryptoknight52 wrong. it was on sportscenter that night that the refs said WHITE ball, meaning it was dolphins ball. not only that, but ben never had the ball past the goal line, so how could he have held on to it? all that, on top of the fact the a miami player came out with the ball, concludes that this play was bullshit. oh, and did you know that the ref lived 30 min south of Pitt? oh, ok. this whole thing was bullshit.
That was totally fixed - that was a touchdown. He crossed the plane before the ball came out. Add Miami to the list of teams that look to the refs to bail them out. If they could have put the ball in the end zone more instead of kicking girl-goals, they would have blown out Pitt.
@PlantersVoid how was it fixed for miami we clearly knocked the ball out and recoverd it in the endzone. there were three miami players on the ball and a miami defender came up with the ball and the referee who made the call was born and raised in.........PITTSBURGH.total bullshit.and the steelers have a history with referees favorng themo shut the fuk up steeler fans you dont know shit.
@PlantersVoid Um actually he didn't cross the plain.....if you watch the video on the NFL network they show that he didn't. You can also clearly see the Miami player jumping on the ball. This was a load of crap! F-Rottenburger and all of the Pittsburgh scum bags!
