  • I just recently purchased a 2012 Gt 6spd with 3.31 rear gears, Brembo Brakes, no Navi =(, and leather seats. The car had 648miles on it when I tested it out at Sacramento Raceway, CA. First pass with no cool down was 12.9@110mph 2.260ft. Best pass for the day was 12.7@112mph 2.1 60ft.

    When the rain stops, I am heading back to try to run a 12.4@115 in stock form before I put some mickey Thompson on.

  • @29kalel Elevation, track temperature, humidity (Im sure driver skill is about the same). I thought the same thing at first, but you gotta remember those factors... a lot of people that don't hit the track or are amateurs tend to neglect these things.

  • @ambientflier when you're doing a review on a vehicle such as the Mustang you are expected to push the vehicle to its full potential. That's what these test vehicles are for. 12.7 and 13.0 are two very different numbers when running a 1/4.

    Just has intake, exhaust, tune, 3.73 gears, and a T56 6 speed swap along with an OEM 03-04 Cobra aluminum driveshaft, Fidanza flywheel, Centerforce clutch. Still under 300 horsepower.

  • @kirk0respite Your dumb! Just because motortrend gets a 12.7 and insideline gets a 13.0 doesn't mean insideline can't drive. Different surface's and temperatures play as much as a role in acceleration times as driver skill. It's likely that motortrend did it's testing in conditions that were more optimal than insideline, plus it takes motortrend 20+ runs to post that time. There average run isn't close to that 12.7 sec time.

  • i test drove both mustang and the camaro and found the mustang to have a better fit and finish than the camaro.dont get me wrong because i was all about the camaro but i think gm needs to do a little more work on the camaro,like shedding a couple hundred pound slim up the doors so the average size person can actually see out of them.also the mustangs manual transmission felt better and had short smooth shifting versus the camaros longer throws and sloppy feel. gm must fix these problems

Different drivers will get different times in the Mustang b/c they almost always test the manual transmission. The X6M will always get just about the same since it's an automatic.

  • @maxou5757 BMW interior quality and ride quality is terrible and the X6 has no rear passenger room. It's a horribly designed car for uneducated people that are looking for a badge, not a car. It's less pleasant to drive and ride in than a 5-series, and it doesn't offer any utility that an SUV is supposed to offer.

    It's ridiculous to even mention the X6M when any other car is being discussed. The X6M (and normal X6) are in a league of their own, in terms of terrible design and execution.
