Andrey, you inpire me keep playing difficult guitar pieces. And reading some other comments, I must disagree, your tempo is perfect, and when you consider the conditions you were playing in, it seems even more impressive! :) Thankyou for the inspiration.
It would be very helpful to listen Antonio Lauro playing himself ths piece or any other of his composition. Carora is a piece that refers to his Hometown in Lara State,Carora town produce an incredible amount of good musicians, music and musical instruments, Master laura tries to reproduce the Carora Feeling"" in all his compositions... is something really unique... Anyway Thank you so much and please keep on playing our beautiful music..
I am trying to play this piece now... and your interpretation helps me a lot.
It helps me not to be tempted to lose the FEELING to SPEED...
Your Carora remains the VALS in the essence...not some technical exercise ''NEED FOR SPEED'' !!!
P.S. It would be a real gift for me (and for all your admirers - I am sure) if you found some time to play it now...with all your experience and using modern equipment - in your own warm room in MAY!!!:-) Thanks in advance...:-)
I am not pretending to be the best. Maybe those better guitarists could play better than me in the hall with the temperature of the winter street. What to tempo I consider my is OK for this piece. I can play fast but for this piece I think this tempo is exactly right.
@Pajarillo57 you're right, you are playing it at the correct tempo. It bothers me to see people play this piece on youtube way to fast, they're losing the point of the music in the first place
Yes friend, I agree with you. And I also think this is not polite to tell a guitarist (to teach him) in which tempo should he play this or another piece. It would be better to play it in a way he/she thinks is correct, but not to try to show himself a "professor". I am a musician. Also I am a great admirer of Lauro, I collected and played ALL his pieces. I may play whole concert of his only music. So why should I listen those advices?
Thanks friend! You are right, there are enough primitive people here who write stupid and bad comments. Probably they think if they wrote the rubbish it might make them better. If one doesn't like something it is better not to write rubbish but to show their own version. Have a nice weekend!!!
Well, you can't read Spanish, but your nick is Pajarillo :))))) and as I can see, you love "our" music: Lauro, Almeida, Reis, etc. and you play it with latin feeling! Thanks.
Yes, my friend. I can't read Spanish but I know the meaning of my nick because I chose it myself. You are right, I love Latin music very much and the composers mentioned by you above (as well as many others) are my favourite authors.
Es una buena interpretación (no muy veloz lo cual me agrada, y con buena agógica) . De pronto le falta resaltar un poco más los momentos climáticos(pero a lo mejor es una cuestión de sonido).
No, my friend, unfortunately,I've never been in Latin America. In his interview the great Lauro when asked whether non Venezuelan could properly feel and perform Venezuelian music answered FIRM NO! I have an opposite opinion on this subject. Everything depends of the misicality of a performer: you feel the music or not.
It doesn't matter where are you from. I had a student from Argentina several years ago and I tought him how to perform "El Choclo"-the most famous Argentinian tango. I felt myself a little bit uncomfortable because of this - Russian teaches Argentinian how to play Argentinian music! It sounds as a nonsence! But Daniel said:" When I come back to my country I will tell to everyone how Russian tought me how properly to play Argentinian music".
Thank you very much for your comment. This is rather old recording of mine. On Yuotube you can find many pieces of Lauro that I perform in different concerts. I think there are some better performings among them.

@Pajarillo57 Indeed there are many impolite folks on youtube. Keep playing the way you play the song sounded great.
