  • Awesome video that really struck home. I live in Amarillo and have made the 1-40 trip to Knoxville several times to visit my dads family. I grew up in the summers fly-fishing in the San Juans and the winters skiing Wolfcreek, and Taos. I just spent the 4th in Taos and went to fish the Conejos around where you accessed the Elk Creek Trail. I'm about to go back up that way for some back country fly-fishing and your video has me stoked.

  • @dnvnmrgn Thank you for your comments. Your "growing up" sounds like it was a blast. Happy fishing!

  • Wonderful scenery and a great plan to hike it in late September with the changing aspens. Too bad about all of the cattle. Did you have any trouble fording streams?

    Thnx.

  • @JD03ish Thanks. We didn't have to ford any streams. The only water crossing was Elk Creek and there is a bridge across it on the trail.

  • what is the song in the background. so nice

  • @jccorbett The music credits are at the end of the video.

  • Really nice video. What camera do you use?

  • @jdplus3 Thanks. Camera is a Lumix ZS3.

  • Great video post of the South San Juans in the Fall. Hard to head back east, isn't it?

  • @4doctorjohn Thanks, and you are right about the return east!

  • Wow! Awesome footage! The South San Juan Wilderness is one of my favorite places to go backpacking. Excellent video! Thanks for sharing!

  • @CrazyTaileZ Thanks for the comments. We had a great time and still are digesting the amazing scenery there!
