thats not the point i was trying to make, I WANT THIS, sonic in 3d, has odd camera preception with little sence of speed, being in a 3rd person veiw rather then a side scroller veiw. my only thought is that now the younger market won't make heads or tails (hehe tails) of it. Its seems like this is going to be like megaman 9 where in which its more for the older audiance and won't be as reveard to the kids as the under value of the 3d sonic games.

Super NES was a Better system than the Genesis....

1. It had over 32,000 possible colors vs genesis' measly 512 available colors and more of them were able to be on screen at the same time.

2. The Sony SPC sound chip was far superior to the disgusting sound produced by the Yamaha FM Sound Chip.

3. Any game produced for both systems by the same developer was always better on the SNES.

4. SNES had a bigger library and better games, it had at least 100 great games the sega had mabye 10.

1) The Genesis has more colors. Go check out Street Fighter 2 for both systems. Much better on the Genesis.

2) The sound on the Genesis was crisper.

Any game on both systems in a side by side comparison....snes wins hands down. Take even DOOM for the 32x compared to snes the music is terrible on genesis. BTW the sound is crisper on the gen 1 than the gen 2 but in no way as good as the snes sound chip. No game that was on both systems was better on the genesis, aladdin doesn't count(2 differnt devs)

well maybe you should actually look at some tech specs with all your "studying" check out snes on wikipedia and compare it's tech specs with the megadrive tech specs on wiki. the only thing the genesis(megadrive) had up on the snes was cpu speed....SNES had a larger color palette a better sound chip and just overall better games. Go ahead and get the same game for both systems and actually do a side by side comparison, if you actually do it instead spouting unfound lies you'll see the truth.

The Genesis had a more limited palette of 512 colors as opposed to the SNES' 32,000+. In addition, the Genesis could only display up to 64 colors on screen compared to 256 for the SNES. Of course, there are certain ways for the Genesis to match the color display of the SNES.

That Sony sound chip was pretty exceptional for its time as well.

Graphically speaking, the SNES had the edge, but the gap wasn't massive by any means.

The SNES was good but the sound quality was a bit muffled. the Mega Drive (as known, here in the UK) had sharper sound and was a lot louder. its soundfont was more limited than the SNES but sounded a lot clearer.

someone punch the current voice actors, game concept developers, and whoever drew up the specs for the 'werehog' right in the FACE.

They need to just restart the series... seriously, I think a nice story refresh and taking the lessons they learned from Sonic Unleashed (Fast/creativity in Sonic's levels = satisfaction, but werehog walking levels = retarded) would be good for the franchise...

I noticed this stopped short of the 3d games. I liked Sonic Adventure 1, but after that it was a turn for the worse. Some horrible concepts and even worse programming made sure of that. The only time Sonic was good apart from the Genesis era was on GameBoy. Sonic: The Dark Brotherhood was great.
