  • This is a film

His title : Never back down!

  • This is from a fuckin movie....

  • yeah its from never back down but i like watching it (even though its sooo fake) to see a show off get served

  • When a dancer meets an real fighter...

  • ....when an Idiot gets fooled

  • I think that the whole idea that capoeira mostly use kicks because slaves were handcuffed is BS. You can't do half of it if your hands are tied behind your back, surely, you can do some kicks, head butts and knee strikes, but it's more likely that the fighting aspects developed without the tied hands constraint. Rugenda's painting shows fighters with closed fists, actually. I don't think I ever saw some reliable account for the handcuff idea.

  • this is from never backdown

  • He just got PWNED! lmao

  • To all my Capoeira brothers out there:

there is a difference between being in a roda and in a fight.

  • Haha. True.

  • this is a scene from the movie never back down somebody was just shooting with a reg cam up where the crew cant see.its staged dumbasses.

  • Ca vient d'un film...

  • chacun son combat un vrai film j'adore

  • to jest urywek z filmu POPROSTU WALCZ, polecam

  • Capoeira is fun to watch, but as effectiveness goes, that looks about right.

  • cuz that's exactly what we want you to think ;) malicia my friend, fooling the enemy, and it works everytime .

  • right, that's why we so many capoeira champions in mma.

  • Capoeira itself is a form of MMA..100% vale tudo..we use kicks from karate, muaythai, punches from boxing, grapples and throws from jiujitsu etc..

Outsiders don't understand the difference between the Jogo de Capoeira, and the Lutta. Different academias teach different styles with different levels of combat..some are really soft, some are really hardcore.

Why there's few MMA capoeira champs ? Same reason there's few Kung Fu champs..philosophy, axé and introspection before competition.

  • You may be right, and I would LOVe to see some of the capoeira fighters in the octagon. As far as the kung fu champs - there were a fair share of those in the beginning, but some how they all had there asses handed out to them and that must be a matter of their philosophy and introspection.

  • I think there's few capoeira MMA because Capoeira is foremost a way of life. The love of the Jogo, the music, the rituals..the cultural aspect is a passion to every capoeirista, even though the lutta (real combat) and self-defense aspect is of great importance..I think a Capoeirista enjoys his art the most when he jogar with fellow capoeiristas with no stress, no weight in, no rules..just chillin.

Though it's an art of discipline n devotion.. it's an art of freedom and play be4 competition.

  • lol.

  • c'est un film

  • c'est tiré du film never back down!!!
