  • I put in a set of Iridium Power SPs last summer in my Mom's Smart car. I did a 90 mile test run and lost 2-tenths of a MPG because two of the three spark plugs had fouled. After installing the Iridiums and ran the same route I gained a half MPG.

  • An power line is not a small wire! Look at NGK BRK6EK Stock Number 2288

Big center electrode, fills up the cylinder better.

If your car can take NGK BKR6E-11 type plugs the BRK6EK will fit!

  • Denso sounds like a jap brand

  • @windoes98se Maybe because it is...

  • That Denso Iridium spark plug looks identical to the NGK Iridium.....

I have used the NGK Iridium with great results, haven't tried the Denso yet though.

  • 御社の井野辺亮介さん、犯罪者ですよ

  • how about price? is available on ebay

  • I just got this in my GTP a week ago. replaced NKG iridium. Wish I could say I see a big diffrence but not really. Maybe after a month or so.

  • Iridium is only good for heat, melting point is above 4000F. Silver is the best conductor of any metal known and iridium is not considered a good conductor. With iridium it's hard enough and has a high temperature threshold that you can make the electrode very small but still that does not produce a bigger spark just a more concentrated spark area. Install some Brisk Silver spark plugs, you'll pick up 6-7hp on a stock performance V-8 like the 4.6L Ford motor for example.

  • Copper is a better conductor of electricity. Iridium and Platinum have a much longer service life than copper, but won't spark any better than a standard copper plug.

  • iridium is more for racing/motorsports because it can take more heat than copper i guess i dunno i just use iridium for racing my team manager just has em =p

  • @Audioquest56

    Typical misunderstand of spark plugs.

Both Iridium and most standards plugs have copper core, but there is no plugs with copper center electrode as copper may melt pretty fast on current engines.

Standard copper core plugs have Nickel center electrode.

  • This was the fastest spark plug i have ever experienced in a kart. 2nd is W20EX-U is it 20watts of power?

  • no spark plug has power

the number of a spark plug in most cases is the heat range not the outpoot power.

The output power for performing the ignition is regulated trough the alternator.

  • NGK is better

  • for an engine with a turbo yes,but for an N/A engine, denso is better

Denso performs like shit with turbo'd engines

  • yea.. BUT.. when i upgraded from 6mm to 12mm HT leads i noticed a difference. SO maybe the leads help too.

  • Based on what are you telling that NGK is better?

  • I have a case of the iridium denso yellow pack. still lasting

  • no I haven't. Doesn't matter anyway, this is YouTube, not commercial television.

(and by the way it's spelled y-o-u)

  • ha!......u seem like a real ass wipe, pal.

  • This is just an ad. What's the point posting it?

  • u heard of the "firestorm" plugs???
