normally, i don't like death metal, but i think these guys are awesome. their guitar play is more skillful and has some power and groove metal inflections, it's also pretty memorable too, unlike bands who go on a mindless strumming spree. i also like the vocals since they are more like swift, brutal strikes, as opposed to the usual low gurgle beneath the guitars.

@MetallicAciDD No. Carcass tunes down to B standard, which also happens to be the standard tuning of a seven string. Playing this on a seven string is just like playing it on a regular down tuned guitar, you just have to take into account that the major third interval between the G and B strings is moved a bit. The first two strings in a six string will be F# and B, whereas on the 7 string it will be B and E, just like standard tuning on a 6 string.

I'm a fan of Carcass, any era, including the Heartwork/Swansong era. All of their songs were heavy as hell but they never sacrificed catchiness or melody. Carcass is among one of my band's biggest influences.
