  • OMG this was my fav ride i would get so scared but i loved them something was cute about them lol nawww i miss it <3

Its nice to see others still remember the ride!!

  • Ohh my god I had nightmares about the f*cking gremlins as a kid, now I realize it isn't scary at all. :P

  • i remember going on this ride when i was little and it went way faster then in the vid and you had to wear seat belts! then i went back there a couple of years later and it went slow like in the vid u have, i was heaps disapointed! lol...

  • this would be better with the gremlin rag

  • omg! gremlins 2 playing in the background. the part were gizmo gets wet.(2:17)

  • When I rode this in Queensland as a kid I nearly got trampled leaving for the karts, I've had nightmares about it ever since. ALl I can remember is the back of Bettlejuice's head and me being really scared.

Thankyou for helping me get over it by realizing how much of a tool kid me was.

  • @Jc447

    You're most welcome. :)

    Thanks for the comment.

  • Why did they closed it.. =( I have another question.. is there still merchendise for sell of the Gremlings?

  • @foxie175

Movieworld do sell Gremlins keychain toys and the like, yes.

  • @bttfspencer Thank you =D

  • Where is that ride

  • @kaleb1220

It closed down many years ago, and the Scooby Doo Spooky Coaster now stands in it's place at Warner Bros. Movieworld.

    Thanks for watching!

  • I ride this ride when I was about 8 years old. It was lots of fun! But I was a bit scared in the beginning when you sat down in a cinema and watched a couple of clips. I was afraid the gremlins would jump out of the curtains!

It's sad that they tore it down :(

  • I remember this ride from when I was five. It freaked the hell out of me and then the scooby doo ride came along and I was scared of that too!!! I was lucky enough to see it a year before it got shut down.

  • I was only 6 when this ride shut for good - never got to go on.

You are a legend for posting this.

  • @erikals2

Thanks! Glad I could be of service. :)

  • is this the aussie ride or the german version?

  • @erikals2

    German. Isn't that obvious?

Also, the Aussie one had Beetlejuice instead of ALF. ;)

  • hmm thanks for that. a bit different from the one in australia, but jogged the memory :)

  • since when was alf in gremlins?????

  • @topcock1973

    Since this ride opened. LOL!

  • i hated this ride when i went on it! >< it scared the life out of me! then again i was like... 7-8 XD haha

  • Wait...why is ALF in there? That makes no sense!

  • @leekenobi21 ITS CAUSE GREMLINS 2 WAS IN 1990, AND ALF ENDED THE DAY IT RELEASED

  • man this ride looks so sick! I wish I was able to ride it (U.S...) that would definitely be the best ride I'd have been on for sure.

(in case you haven't told I'm a huge Gremlins fan lol, and if I'm not I want to be)

  • love it !! :D

  • Thankyou, I'm glad you enjoyed it :)

    Best Regards

  • @xRene1993x da kommt aber was neues rein ;)

  • @manditenfan Ich weiß, aber als Parques Reundios (oder wie auch immer man das schreibt) den Park gekauft hat, hätte man doch das Teil erst mal wiedereröffnen können... =/

  • I liked the one in germany.. after wb pulled the license they ruined the park.. the gremlins ride is still unused

  • Really? That is very odd. In Australia they replaced this classic...with the Scooby Doo Spooky Coaster. Gremlins is a classic, Scooby bombed. Just because its a little old WB like to replace it.

A shame, I don't remember going on this ride very well anymore. It's been a long time.

    Thanks for your comment.

  • @bttfspencer

ahh...but in 2011 they´ll build a new artraction in movie park germany in the old gremlins hall

  • iu were there to

  • no i havent been to this one, i did go on the original one here in australia before it closed in 2001 for a scooby doo spooky coaster. The original actually had an animatronic beetlejuice character instead of ALF which was way cooler in my opinion.

  • @bttfspencer When that Gremlins thing was built here in germany, nearly no one here knew Beetlejuice. I guess thats Why they have chosen ALF.

I'm glad for that though, I don't like beetlejuice XD

  • @avenuenicky

Fair enough, I'm not a huge fan of either to be honest, I like the design of Beetlejuice though, so I am sort of partial to it.. :)

    Take care,
