Having been around in vanilla WoW, I can safely say, that aside from nostalgia, I don't miss it all that much. Ah yes, vanilla WoW; where only a handful of classes and specs were even viable, where quests and most dungeons were all grind, and accessing raid content was like solving a rubix cube blindfolded and with no hands.

I've always loved WoW, I just like it even more now because it's a lot easier to have fun :)

I personally think it was better back then. But i agree with everyone else aswell in the sense that there is alot of new good stuff. But imo all that stuff should have been there from the start. I think Blizzard dropped the ball seeing that they gave up. Everything looks the same now, just different colors. my 2 cents

@TheMannen9999 the good ol' days of wow arent 100% gone, my friend! it may not be exactly the same, but feenix private servers currently host 2 level 60 servers and a 70 server set back at patch 1.12.1 and 2.4.3. ive played them a bit and i like it, and many others do too. there are currently around 3000 people on the vanilla server.

@colton1337 Not only the visual part of gear was better, also the bonuses were all different... when it comes to pvp, now everything is about resilience, crit, hit and haste. Back then there were lots of cool stuff and tricky items... weapons with chance to stun, chance for extra attacks, chance to increase spell/attack power, lots of engineering tricky items and awesome all different set bonuses... now this part of WoW is dead - the best part of it!

@colton1337 I used to be the same, but than something occurred to me. Yeah the gear was cool in BC and classic, however, we pressed one button. Mage? Frost bolt! Warlock? Shadow Bolt! Hunter? AUTO SHOT.... x.x all I did was pull mobs, kite, die, and auto shot shit. I mean really, the game was so one sided, paladin? HEALS! druid? HEALS! Priest? HEALS!! At least the game is more diverse now, and it takes more than 1 button to play well. What we miss, is the new and freshness of WoW as noobs.

@Drako377 have you seen one of those live raids? The mage just pressed 2 most of the boss fights, moved around to dodge things, and occasionally pressed 3 when his arcane (missle?) was up. Topped the DPS charts. So, i would say it's not all that different.

And yes, your last sentence is probably more acurate than these excuses others are trying use. (After all, even 1 year is quite a long time to be playing anything, some have been for 6.)

@sango213 yeah ARCANE mages, are one button wonders. but tell me the firemage rotation, pyroblast, living bomb, w/e theres a lot more to it, you have to get up all your dots, pop that super dot multiplier, and crit like a beast. or how about shadow priests, most classes, have 1 spec that is a 1 button wonder, yes, but most classes also have MANY more buttons as the other specs now, I've been playing for 7 and am extremely bored, but friends play, so I play.
