Would just like to add female genital mutilation or female circumcision is not part of Islam as you mentioned. Sadly it is a cultural practice (which wikipedia says may have started in ancient egypt, way before Islam) mainly in some African countries which continued even after the countries became Muslim majority. It has no justification from religion. Thank you.

Female Circumcision is totally local to some ethipian or Somali tribes. However, Male circumcision is widely adopted in any Muslim family. So, what would make sense to criticize is the Male one. But you didn't, is that maybe cos Male circumcision is also practiced in Judaism??

As a non-religious person who rejects the Bible, I find this criticism of male circumcision obnoxious. This tradition probably is the result of painful infections under the foreskin developing when people finally got fed up and just decided to get rid of it while the person is a baby.

Foreskin is a vestigial structure. It serves no purpose or benefit.

I'm lucky to be circumcised, and my brother wishes he was. I don't want to be like him. Stop making a big deal about this.

I'm sorry to disagree with you on the 'x generation immigrant' thing. Ofcourse these people are seen as naturalized citizens of those states. It's weird that you would relate this all the way back to the old caste system thing. 1 generation immgrants that are legal are viewed as citizens the moment they are naturalized. I think one of the main problems is that, one one side, states need to construct definitions of people in order to take care of them (to simplify that) and on the other hand there's the simple problem that the concept of nationality is divisive and problematic.

If a Muslim drinks Wine, then they are not a Muslim. We wouldn't grace a man with the self determined title of Nazi if he was not a White Supremecist, and I see no reason to accept the label Muslim for people who do not follow the Koran to the letter. There is no other basis for the Islamic faith, and there is no moderation of the Koran that can be taken seriously, especially when the Koran is explicit in stating that not a word of it may be taken in anything but its normal evil context.

You can find such rare anomalies in all religions - if you look at them good enough. For example, there are some Christians who actually nail some one to a cross to remember JC's ordeal. Did you know that?

Concerning "Genital Mutilation": Is, according to the Muslims who practice it, the Female equivalent of Male Circumcision. However, I presume the writer is all for its male counterpart, since the Torah (Old Testament) obliges it, and the latter probably being a prerequisite to his belief. hmmmmmmmm?

Concerning "Its a part of their Religion": Incorrect! It is one of the most argued subjects amidst Muslim Scholars, and the majority of Muslims are against it, even illegal in some Muslim countries.

AGAIN, history is not your friend: Marxist groups and Islamist groups have a long history of (often armed) conflict in Afghanistan, in Iran, in Egypt, etc...
