the bear suit... which is what i used to call it back in the day when i was growin up and played this game religiously is actually called a tanuki suit... tanuki is a racoon like creature in japanese folklore... look it up on wikipedia or somewhere... it makes the whole concept of the suit make a little more sense

Actually, the "castles" in all except the final stage (Bowser's Castle) are called "Mini-Fortresses", and the boss at the end is called Boom-Boom Koopa.
