ALRIGHT, Im going to answer everyones questions. The mic he held up is a "Samson c01". there isnt a U on the end because it isnt (USB) it has XLR output. The mic on the stand is the "mxl v69" dope mic. ima rapper and im boutta order it this week. Now i'm using the Blue Yeti usb and it sound amazing for only $99! check out my page for the audio quality of the blue yeti nd support a youngin'!

Buying 6 microphones isn't necessary. Some people lack common sense; you buy the microphone with warranty and return it full price, and then with the money you get back put it into a different mic after trying it. Most stores that sell instruments will gladly take your instrument back for you to get a new one, thats what i did at long and mcquade here in Toronto. Then again who knows what the policy is for the stores near you.

its an "OK" microphone but if ur just recording for home made music and stuff like that, i recommend getting the Samson c01u condensor microphone,

its the only mic ull ever need if ur at home and the quality is amazing! also its like 100 bucks, shoulda saved the 40 on that one

JayCee I'd recommend not buying a usb condenser. do yourself a favor and buy something like a XML MicMate and a regular XLR condenser mic, that way if you want to get an actual interface or change your setup later on you dont have to buy a different mic right away. I'm recording off of a C03 myself and I like it, also like the Rode NT1A.

usbs mics are mostly crap, get a pre-map and a condenser mic that uses phantom power, because the quality will never be as good as a condenser mic that uses a pre-amp
