I surmise the ductility would be a major advantage in surviving any type of seismic event as well, oui/non?

But am I to understand that while there are certainly pretensioned steel tendons in the pi-girder sections, there is no mild steel whatsoever--neither rebar nor WWMesh--in the deck sections? That indeed would eliminate a major point of bridge maintenance and age-related failures, eh?
