  • One of the best songs of Eurovision not to win

  • My winner!

  • what does she do now? where she is now?

  • wher did she came

  • @505kira, she came with Estonia on the third place.

  • Igirisu would be proud. I don't mind that Latvia won, I'm glad he got some glory. *has been watching too much hetalia*

  • Quality, awesome song

  • One of the best songs in the history of Eurovision! I love the part at 1:17 <3

  • She shot herself in the foot with that Wild West outfit. If she would perform in some dark and long dress, she would be even more popular among voters. Still, even without Latvia in the running, it wouldn't beat Malta that year. It's still the only Top 3 for UK in the 00s. :)

  • It was better than that years winner Latvia.

    My Ranking:

    1. Malta

    2. United Kingdom

    3. Estonia

    4. France

  • Fantastic!!!Magnificent!I adore it!!

  • Wow! Amazing voice! Brilliant!

  • @caxekkoll but bitchy outfit

  • she was amazing! just brilliant! wow!what a powerfull voice!

  • 2nd.best,song,behind.france.x

  • 1:17-1:22 chills!!!!!!!!!! brilliant entry

  • which place??

  • 3rd place

  • This is the best song in ESC 2002!

  • this is the best song of da uk

  • this has been the uk's best song in years well until now cause jade is brillant best of luck in the final uk.

  • I remember that UK and Estonia got same points but still estonia finished the concert third and uk finished fourth. But in my humble opinion Malta should have won!

  • I can remember like it was yesterday. My girlfriend and I were watching the ESC and made an internal ranking. And we both came to the conclusion there can be only one winner: the UK with this fantastic song. Maybe France as the only real competitor with also a very brilliant song. In the end we were absolutely speechless about the results and realized that it is not the quality anymore, which decides, who win this competition but something else...

    Sad but true...

    Greetz from Germany ;-)

  • unlucky in draw but wonderful entry. should have been 1st

  • Our best entry since 1998. I personally thought France should have won but this is a very close second.

  • She should of won ESC 2002 - she's just fantastic.

  • If Latvia had been relegated from their poor performance the year before (as they should have been) then Malta and the UK would have fought for 1st in 2002. Instead two beautiful songs were beaten by a shit song.

  • well done uk

  • Well, you know... this is just beautiful. A solid song performed beautifully by a beautiful woman. Really moving in its simplicity.

  • maybe the UK isnt such a sh*t country in esc after all ??

  • Far from it; you know I don't think so! But in this decade, it's as if only so-so entries haved slipped through A Song for Europe way too easily.

  • She´s perfect!

  • Jessica did a great job and has a wounderful voice, she sang her heart out x love her x

  • the best song from united kingdom since i watch the eurovision song contest.I watch him since 2000!!!!!!!!

she or ira from malta should win the eurovision song contest 2002 and not latvia.

I´can´t believe that my country(GERMANY)gave 12 points to latvia

    greeeetz from germany

  • Was very shocked this came 3rd. The political voting was setting in and I thought it had ended for us. Of course it has now :-)

  • For this to come in 3rd, I fail to see how political voting worked against you there.

  • best uk song this last decade

  • excellent!

    but bad place of perfomance

very good song and amazing voice!!

    Old good UK entry!

  • lol as if latvia won.

France and UK were raped that year.

What is this "pre iraq" shit thats goin about?! I agree its more Neighbour voting now then it used to be. But I just wish more people in the uk would start realising that US sending SHIT year upon year is OUR fault - considering its our votes that send them to the eurovision.

Jessica Garlick is UK's last AWESOME entry.

  • Yes, reality! Iraq war is the most misinformed theory about the UK doing badly in the contest. It's just that ever since Jessica, the best song has NEVER been picked in the UK NFs, and many of the prospectors have been good songs, some even real contenders!

  • totally agree.

one example is when we sent Scooch {lol} over a gorgeus ballad {Cyndi}.

  • Yes, that was the mentality of the voters stripped bare. They have a choice of a solid song and performance or a camp retro number. And because people in the UK don't take the contest seriously, they pick the camp one and then complain that Europe hates them. Mad.

  • I think i had a hand in this insight, Seth? Take two examples MACEDONIA 2000 & JEMINI 2003 - who got the huge response for having a sh*T entry - then try & tell me the UK have apoint that Europe hates them?

  • OMG!!!!!!!! she brill x

  • Very goog song and perfectly performed. She was the best that year. Congrat from France

  • it was not perfectly preformed see 1.50...miles out of tune

  • That is one second out of three minutes...

  • Agree, a good singer and a nice song..what has happened since then?! :(

  • shes brilliant! :)

  • what a voice!!

lovely and 12 points from Portugal

  • she's amazing! why didn't she get anywhere?

  • gr8 song. that year it should have been won either by this or the Maltese song, not that crap song that won

  • Its such a shame that Ireland wasn't in this eurovision because i would have voted for this!

  • there was no ireland in this eurovision? why?

  • Because we got relegated the year before

  • oo...ic

  • Eurochanteur , ure absolutely right :D

  • 3rd is a respectable position to come in at, but let's get real about this people, the song that won should not have been there, the top place should have been fought over by Malta, France and the UK

  • hear hear!!

  • Absolutely, Latvia's stage-act was WAY overrated.

  • UK Positions in Eurovision last years 2000 - 16 2001 - 15 2002 - 3 2003 - 26 2004 - 16 2005 - 22 2006 - 19 2007 - 23 Thats say all about how good this song is:) I love this song, it came 3rd place,
  • Such a powerful voice and this song suited her perfectly. This was the last time the UK entered a decent singer/song and I thought Jessica did the nation proud with this performance

  • Come back to Eurovision, Jessica!

  • She is a gorgeous and talented singer she deserved to win but the Irony is straight after this We had Gemini

  • Winner in our eyes! BEst song in a long time! And she is WELSH!

  • She maybe Welsh but she represented the UNITED KINGDOM .

  • 111 p. and 4th place:)

    it was good

and in 2003 the last place!!!

    greetings from Poland

  • No, she came joint 3rd with Estonia.

  • Pre-iraq war.

  • And? I think that's kind of a over-hyped theory about the UK's decline in quality of songs. "Cry baby" just wasn't well performed, and the ones after that haven't been anything to write home about, really.

  • uk should had won with this entry

  • Think this was the last time that we (the UK) had a stronge performer and song in the contest.. come on we need to wake up...?

  • yeah ur rite it was the last time we had a stronge preformer she came 3rd ever since we been coming last or near the bottom

  • super. congratulations Jessica from Spain. Great ballad
