  • it sounds like shit man..... my friend did this for his senior recital last semester and it was not this bad..... you really have to calm down on you tone, and work on getting a darker more clear more focused tone and take it alittle faster get it up to actual tempo. Sorry if it sounds like im being an asshole but this is one of my favorite pieces and you ruined it.: also as 1800smd000 said.... PRACTICE WITH A METRONOME. Those 16th note phrases are absolutely not in time.

  • You did not play this very well... use a metronome and practice the semi demi's really slowly and your vibrato needs work

  • Quel son affreux ! Manque de contrôle et que de mauvais gout sur les fins de notes !!! Pietre performance...

  • Your not using the correct style for this song. Your playing it all jazzy like although jazzy wouldn't even describe it since its too nice of a word.

    At least you tried...

  • on B and Ds you are way 2 hight, correct ur sound >-<

  • dude.

#1: classical tone, not jazz tone

#2: get a metronome, set it at 40 bpm, and practice measure 186 over and over and over.

  • okay, I have know idea what other people were hearing, but I think this was amazing I was looking for this song everywhere. You truly play incredibly well. Don't listen to them haters. Keep up the good work.

  • I think it need some work. 1st off, its too slow for my liking. 2nd, i'm not too fond of your crescendoing up to your vibrato in the beginiing. as my band teacher would say, your notes are "balloon shaped". Keep up the good work though

  • @TheElPutoNegro im pretty sure no one is taking you seriously with an account name like that

  • he's not that bad?

  • Perhaps your finger work is not as poor as a kid beginner. Yet, your sound quality is really disgusting - so horrible that I can't describe in words.

  • Thus is horrible

  • @jovian616396 I can' agree with you more.

  • It is terrifying

  • I played the piano part for one of my friends. It's really easy and really fun. I learned it in about two hours, and the ending was really nice sounding.

    It's a really catchy song.

  • think ur trying to make it sound like jazz and its not

  • your embouchure needs to be adopted more classical.

the first fast run is supposed to be cleaner....it was a little uneven

    thats just my opinion

  • i like the piano part better.

  • you are using too much of a jazz articulation. You need to develop a classical embouchure. I also have the same problem as I mostly play jazz. Other than that don't get in front the beat, put it on the back side...

  • very slow

  • your tone sound strange and pitch get a little higher when you are trying to crescendo.the entirety sounds good but the vibrato and tone quality.

there is one more thing i can't get it,there are lots of people judge this performance, why the"views"are higher than other performance which better than this?like Miha Rogina and Nobuya

  • tone colour is very thin ...

Where do you come from ..?

  • I don't think your tone was very good and your vibrato was very strange

  • don't try to act professional

  • Jesus, you people are so up yourselves..!

  • oh, and your way too rigid in time and artistry. Loosen up and place more empisis on the more important beats to give samba feeling. 1! (+2) +!( 3+) 4! (+).

  • you are right but this movement is in 2/4 time...

  • good dynamics.

very thin and timid in upper rage.

very wide vibrato. do u want that?

    technical errors.

Slow and perfect better than fast with errors.

    keep it up!

  • a lot of people have played it better than this and i'm sure a lot more play it better than you do. This is not a place to brag about how you're a sophomore in high school and play it better. You are truly showing your age.

  • To be honest, this is not a good perfornace. There are simply too many technical errors. I also don't like the way you attack your vibrato - you do a swell of the note, and it's really annoying to my ears. Besides that, it's good. You have good dynamic contrast and good tone, but you really need to play it better technically.

  • were you one of the better saxophone players at your school?

  • nice, but hey, if u wanna hear a really good performance, check out the one played by Nobuya Sugawa, he's AWESOME

  • You need to practise a bit before leaping into this song again. Your sound was very thin:( play it in tempo 112!!! Its a samba and you need to express yourself more!!! But that aside, your very brave to jump on stage and play this piece!!!

  • Honestly I think you weren't quite ready. We can tell that your fingers don't follow the speed even though I would play it a little bit faster.

  • I want a lesson with this guy!

  • That was bloody brilliant, I am playing that for my grade 8, you have gave me some really good ideas for how to present this piece, Thank you ever so much I'm really glad I have found this video

  • it's really good!!!!!

  • i think you are too strict..

he's doing it very good - and i guess he never said, he was perfect.. anyway, its very difficult to play.

    keep going!

  • Slow, but not boring. Better to take a tempo you can handle and focus on correct notes and good tone. Which you did. Maybe eventually you can speed it up. Nice job.

  • great, but too slow and boring

  • Great performance!

  • thats great i love this piece its awesome

well done! hard piece as well!

  • good performance! who wrote this song?

  • Thank you. It was written by french composer Darius Milhaud.

  • @popbottles3574 Don't tell lie... dishonest guy..!

  • good version
