Being a Twilight fan as much as the story is VERY different and the characters as well. I must say they have MANY similarities. Even in alot of the LOVE story that Stephan and Elena have. The only similarity is the love triangle. Nothing else, you said many similarities? I'd like you to name at least three. The vampires are traditional ones (burn in the sun, must be invited in, etc.) werewolves only turn on a full moon and the stories are better. Twilight is about a pathetic little girl who can't live without a boyfriend & ends up having a baby which is impossible.

Its true vampires burn in the sun in TVD but some are daywalkers as well (that is one thing i noticed).Also, there are many times that Stefan reminds me of Edward and some not all the things he does when it comes to Elena. I will agree with you that TVD does have much better storylines. I am a fan of both but agree that TVD is better in many ways
