  • any1 noticed at 1:13 that map isnt in brawl o.0

  • You can do this with any controller. Fucking noobs.

  • took me three months to get this down and now i have a surprise for a few people.

  • nice

  • so you can only do it with gamecubecontroller?

  • xD i can only one of them Ö.ö

    Practice, practice practice ....

  • 3 people were pwnt with this

  • For the down throw chain, what exactly is the timing on the z button for the backwards throw to nana? Do u want to hit z as fast as u can right after you press back on the joystick?

  • Sonic Adventure Open your Heart FTW!

  • 5/5 favorite.

(could of flagged it also for rape)

  • can you do this with a wii-mote?

  • @PeteZahuttt Why would you play with a wii-mote in the first place? They suck.

  • Just started maining ICs. This video is helping alot

  • i can never get the down chain throw lol i did it twice in a row once and its either i miss the first grab or the 2nd mostly the first grab ahha xD

and then also either nana or popo will get out of the area and will be to far ahead or behind the grabber

  • @soulcalibrll wats ur name, and yeah, lol, ur chaingrab looked perfect from start to finish. lain and chu dat lets go after a couple shots when teh opponents health is low.but u took a 0% to ko. thts why i thought u were better.

  • @mrpepsidrink Most pros won't get a grab at 0%, and if they do the opponent expects it. Brawl is extremely broken with the grab system, and with a click or two of the buttons you can break out of grabs when you have less than 40%. Only under certain situations is a 0->death grab even possible. Since I wasnt playing against anyone when recording, the 2nd player doesn't have the ability to break out of grabs. Even at about 80% a player can break out of grabs if the IC player isn't fast enough.

  • do u play competetively? cause u seem better than lainn or chu dat

  • @mrpepsidrink Haha, you can't judge that by a tutorial video. I assure you Lain and Chudat are far better than me. I played in MLG Dallas and lost to Lain (IC v IC battle too)

  • the ice climbers were my favorite character, even before this vid

  • what is this music?what is this music?what is this music?what is this music?what is this music?what is this music?what is this music?what is this music?what is this music?what is this music?what is this music?what is this music?what is this music?what is this music?what is this music?what is this music?what is this music?what is this music?what is this music?what is this music?what is this music?what is this music?

  • @VICTORORIGAMI "Open Your Heart" from the game Sonic Adventure 1

  • Really nice. love the video.

  • what is this music?

  • i do this! and i`m oly 12 years.

  • with the dthrow chain at 2.04, the first back throw tends to be really inconsistent because nana likes to slide a lot. I know you say "hold right on the joystick" but when exactly do i let go? I've done it before, but i can only chain that whole thing 3/4 times and it's always the bthrow that gets me.

  • i got one

bring ur oppoment to the edge then grab them next jump with nana then use side air attack then there youve done it

  • @PrintedNintendo If your opponent Directional Influences well enough, they can survive that tactic. It is recommended that once you grab them to just do a chain grab till they are at KO percentage.

  • @soulcalibrII i do this! and i have only 12 years :) thanks for the tutorial.

    What is this song?

  • What's this game called again?

  • @evilroberto1 How the fuck did you get into the top comments saying "what's this game called?"

  • @WalkthroughsMadeEasy I don't even know , buddy.

  • Is this possible with the wiimote?

  • @XxSackboy99xX Why would you bother playing with a Wii-mote?

  • I dont have a gamecube controller...

  • Besides the iceclimbers, its very easy to get away from this, just jump up instead of allowing yourself to land

  • Very well described. I could never get the hang of it, but now there's a chance that I'll actually understand what I'm doing.

  • i can get the popo throw backwards but the nana down throw i keep screwing up even if its right at the shockwave. HELP

  • @zeldazoneman I would suggest starting against Game&Watch since he is the easiest to grab. The 'after shockwave' is relative, and depends on your opponent, as each character requires different timing. It is all about practice bud; it'll take you about a month to learn the grabs, and another 1-2 to get them perfect.

  • lol does this work with wiimote + nunchuck

  • Very nice video! Really helped me! But could you tell us which configurations do you use on your control?

  • @LelpGC Default, with tap jump off.

  • so Z is what, grab or shield?

  • @Kienzovi15 grab at first then shield

  • Awesome Video, Awesome tutorial!

  • @Colderlink Appreciate the complement. :)

  • BROOOOOOOKEN -_____-

  • @windkai In professional play now however, a lot of pros "plank", which basically means they avoid fighting completely, or they stay on platforms to avoid being grabbed. Also, a lot of Pit, Zero Suit, and Falco players stay away by firing projectiles. That's why you rarely see Ice Climber players win tournaments.

  • @soulcalibrII yeah i'm already aware of that. I'm pretty familiar with the tourney scene and I understand the tiers.

Doesn't excuse the fact that this is pretty broken.

  • Great turtorial!^_^

  • @blueblade578 Thank you for the complement. :)

  • @soulcalibrII If you still play can we exchange fc's and you can teach me how to perfect my grab timing

  • how do i back throw to nana?

  • dude the pink one wont cooperate on any of these :(

  • @IWillSubAnyGamers same to me

  • hwo can you do these with a wii remote and nunchuck please reply!

  • @sasuke9824 You CAN, but I don't see why anyone would want to. Gamecube or classic controllers are far easier to utilize.

  • @soulcalibrII so i have heard but i don't have either could you tell me how to preform them or give me a link to a video that can tell me how

    much apreciated

  • @sasuke9824 As far as I know do the exact same thing. Btw, YouTube has a search function...

  • @soulcalibrII lol i realise this but i can never seem to find any videos on it, because everyone uses gamecube controllers im hoping to get one soon with any luck

  • This vid. is horridly wrong in so many different ways, lol. You can CG on platforms... you can use uthrow to CG... etc. I lol'd

  • Man this tutorial really helped me! You are awesome!

  • what level of gaming do u play at?

  • "The skills for brawl [. . . .] chain grabbing" is an oxy moron.

  • Ridiculously good job dude, Super helpful. Way better than all the other tutorial videos that didn't teach me a damn thing.

  • Oh, really thanks, some body make my that on WI-FI now i can do that an KO people, thanks.

  • @spiderman19977 The key to understanding desynched IC dynamics is to be aware that the "helper" Climber delays a bit before responding to your inputs. That's why they don't respond to your inputs at the same time when they're in sync.

  • hey king of chain grab, I LOVED when you slayed pikachu

  • pooooooor opponents... cause your so good!

  • Didn't know IC had so much potential...if the CPU did this we'd all be doomed lol

  • good vid but horrid music ;_;

  • @shadowflarex2x The music seemed appropriate...the idea of "can't hold on much longer" and "never let go" were parts of the reason I chose it.

  • Jesus christ, one of the best tutorials I have ever seen!

You are extremly skilled too I must say!

  • @Ebbzzor I appreciate the complement.

  • @spiderman19977 Trust me, it took me about a solid month of practice to get it down. You need to learn the physics of how the Climbers move when they do grabs, pivot grabs, etc. Even now, after about a year of practice, I still miss grabs. Try practicing on Game and Watch; he is the easiest character to chaingrab with.

  • Best SSBB video tut on the internet, way well put together, now im trying a new char i always thought was shit as well!

  • 3:50 Pikachu is unable to battle so that makes the winner ice climbers

Ash: Take a good rest piakchu

    Pikachu: pika pika

  • 3:30 I feel so bad for Pikachu, He's getting owned really hard by the Ice climbers

  • Nice Animation Can you please tell me what software are you using, and your tutorial really helped me THX ALOT

  • I'm so glad I found this vid! This has helped me sooooooooooooo much with my chaingrabbing. Thanks for such a kick ass and extremely helpful vid! ICE CLIMBERS FOREVER!!!

  • whats the music?

  • @NKLinus06 "Open your heart" from the game Sonic Adventure

  • i cant do spikegrab backgrab and forward grab ._.

  • I cant ever regrab w/ popo cuz a light tap still makes him go too far up

  • @ToadyTune You have to be extremely sensitive with your movements.

  • @soulcalibrII I did it like twice!!! Im so excited. Yah, got to be sensitive...

  • much more helpful than an other video I saw. I actually understand this now!

  • You just jump with Nana and press the C-stick forward.

  • You said hold right on the joy stick and follow up with z I use x so do I need z for grab to?

  • wow amazing video, I had looked at several tutorial videos on IC CG, but this is the best by far, great job man, looks like a lot of effort went into this. (this vid should seriously have more views)

  • WOW i knew all this already .... but NEVER seen it done so PERFECT nice vid

  • Ur godlike

  • @soulcalibrII trying to teahc my friend with wii mote and nunchuck but he cant play like that he needs the controller

  • is this possible wit gamecube controller

  • @pocotoco2737 is this possible with the wiimote?

  • You should note that it is possible to downthrow cg on platforms by buffering the dthrow. Also Bthrow hobbling is more common and easier than fthrow hobbling.

  • What do you mean "buffer the dthrow"?

  • @soulcalibrII When doing the back throw to dthrow cg on the platform after the backthrow if you input the dthrow within 10 frames before the move ends it will buffer the platform and nana will not fall through. I'll try to find a match of mine showing you.

  • do you go to smashboards?

  • Good video :D I love you, but I hate your ICs

  • YOu aar a FUCKINH faggit. Chan gRabbinG is forr fuccking FAGGiTS! noOb. GiT a lif and PLAy as CaptAIn Falcin. He s the Bestin the Game.

  • That is why the Ice Climbers are one of my fav characters!

  • Wow, great tutorial. Well done, and informative. I'mma start usin' that when I play Ice Climbers. All I did for combos for Ice Climbers was spike people and have one hold a homerun bat and the other hold a pitfall. Anyway, nice job. :D

  • Best Sonic music ever!

    The tutorial's nice too hahaha.

    Just kidding.

    Great tutorial!
