Please, don't make any more of these videos, or if you do learn what it is you are railing against. I would never defend the thing you are battling because it is not Christianity.
I appreciate how calm you delivered this video, but you do not have all the facts straight. God is just but He is also merciful. God condemns us all to hell except His son died for us. He is giving us a free gift and all we have to do is except it. Also, church is not part of salvation. Church is just for spiritual growth and communion with other believers.
I appreciate what you're trying to do with your videos, and it seems you're trying to be calm and fair. But I'm afraid your theology is very basic and grossly oversimplified. True conversion cannot happen casually, and this deathbed scenario you mention is no sure thing. I don't blame you, many churchgoers themselves are deceived. American Christianity is largely a hoax, a watered-down gospel, almost unrecognizable from its true form.
@pcgamerjoe You can declare ridiculous absolutes like "true conversion cannot happen casually" all you want, but who made you the arbiter of what constitutes a "true" or "false" conversion? Just you and God, right? That's simply an easy-out Christians use when they're confronted with someone who's freed themselves of the mind-numbing retardation of religion. "Well, he never truly believed!" just protects Christians from having to honestly examine the reasons because they're intellectual cowards.
@VanDammesCokeDealer I normally don't respond to things like this because it's impossible to convince anyone who is set in his ways, but I'll just briefly address what's wrong with your statement.
First of all, I'm assuming you're deeply experienced and well-versed in the Bible and not just a casual reader? If not, then you have no basis for "knowing" anything about true Christianity. I don't have a lot of space here in YT, but I'll just give you one verse for now: Philippians 2:12.
@pcgamerjoe If you don't care to look it up, it says to work out your salvation with "fear and trembling." It doesn't say, "Hey, if you have a feel-good moment of emotion, you're set!"
There's so much more I could say, but YT comments really are the worst way to talk about religion. I've been studying the Bible for years and I still have huge lightbulb moments. It's really much deeper than you give it credit for, but I guess it's easier to assume we're all mindless idiots.
God is about as just, as the worst tyrant on earth. Think about it !! Aertly tyrants kill their opponents, and that is the end. But this LOVINg heavenly father tortures FOR ALL ETERNITY, not only his opponents, but even those who happen to not-believe in him.
its not that if your a christian even in the bible it says not everyone who calls on the lord will be saved there are christians who are going to hell and your talking about fairness this unfortuanatly is another bad video
This is a simplistic understanding of salvation and of course when you distill it down it sounds absurd. Saying a simple prayer is not going to get you fire insurance, Christians espousing that need to read their Bible. Yes, God sends people to Hell for eternity. Entrance into Heaven requires total repentance, not some last minute prayer. Some might get saved this way but I wouldn't bank on it! The road to Hell is wide and many are on it, but the gate to Heaven is narrow and few find it.
@DaneStolthed The road to Hell is wide and many are on it, but the gate to Heaven is narrow and few find it.. If this is so, what`s the point of the whole salvation story ? to save a few ????
wrong....1 Peter 4:17For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God? Jugement begins with cristians.... not all cristians will go to heven..... and yes god will forgive you only if you repent of your sins... god cant forgive you for wat you havent repented....
God is just because esentially we all deserve hell, because we are all sinners and sinning = hell but accepting christ is accepting ogds forgiveness, god i offering to forgive you, and if you deny forgiveness he punishes you for sin, it's like someone hands you a box of candy you can take it or refuse it, but if you refuse don't complain because you have no candy
Things are not quite what he says, but people who listen to anti-Christians for knowledge about Christianityare almost smart enough to their dog do brain surgery on them.
God is Just because he has said so, but that is not the reason that he is just, his justness is an essential quality of himself. The bible says that men's works will be tested by fire and those that remain will deserve a reward. This exemplifies his justness because there will greater rewards for those with the greater works. So theoretically i guess there could be "peasents" in the Kingdom of Heaven. Men are without excuse because he has written the law on their hearts. They deny therconscience
Do you not get the fact that Jesus Christ died for the sins of the world and took the evil of the sins onto His flesh and was killed in their place? So the sins of these people you claim that will not get punished are actually punished through the death of Christ on the cross. PLEASE get a clue of what Christians actually believe. You completely miss the point.
@MaharlikaAWA You didn't actually watch the video, did you? None of what you say means anything. Jesus (according to Christians) is not dead. Jesus (according to Christians) did not take ANY sin "onto his flesh". There isn't one speck less "sin" after the crucification than before. The people who don't get punished simply aren't punished. They're forgiven.
@chilimaan YES I DID watch the video. You do not even know what Christians believe you are attacking a straw man. Jesus Christ never sinned or did anything wrong. he was perfect. But he died in the place of sinners and took their punishment. Their sins was put on his flesh and he was killed for it. That is why the Father forsaked him. You need to read the bible. All sins are accounted for and punished and put to death on the cross.
@MaharlikaAWA Right. The problem is that others haven't read the bible. Not that you don't know what you're talking about. Well; just choosing one of the things you've said. What makes Jesus perfect? He seems laughably stupid to me. At best. It's not even a problem that I don't believe the things he said. You don't even believe the things he said.
@chilimaan Oh really. What dont I believe about what he said? And what makes him laughable stupid? And what makes Jesus perfect you ask? Well the fact he did not ever sin and was God embodied in flesh. Duh.
@chilimaan Its great you admit Jesus said He was God. Its wonderful to know Jesus was God and did what he did for us. What about john 14:12 is there not to believe? Might want to tell me your point. Because I believe in that verse and its true.
@MaharlikaAWA According to the story, Jesus walked on water, healed the sick, cursed trees to death, raised the dead. And in John 14:12 it says that those who believe in him will do the same and more.
It's kind of funny that we can assume the truth of your fantasy, and the only thing that happens is Christians are instantly exposed as hell bound unbelievers. I've yet to meet anyone who didn't try to squirm out of what the text says; denying the truth of it.
@chilimaan Are you kidding me? You act like you are a bible expert and have read the entire bible yet you dont even understand proper hermaneutics. All of those other stories are in completely different chapters. John 14 was emphasizing the spiritual aspects of God's work not miracles. It isnt about power, it is about extent. The discples would become witnesses to the whole world through the Holy Spirit. Jesus was only in Israel and the Holy Spirit would not come until he went to the Father.
@chilimaan The only one denying the truth of the passage of John 14:12 is you and your fantasy that God does not exist. The only person who is doing squirming is you, with your faulty interpretation tactics abnd straw man arguments. You fail completely. You arnt even worth talking to.
@MaharlikaAWA I don't take offense. I know where you're coming from.
Go ahead and read chapter 14 from beginning to end and really think about what's going on there. Jesus is having credibility problems. (sound familiar?) He gets exasperated and tells Philip particularly: "at least believe on the evidence of the miracles themselves" (1984 NIV). Then he says believers will do even greater things than those. Then he amplifies that statement. It's crystal clear.
@chilimaan Wrong. Its not about walking on water and cursing trees. Those happened in other chapters in different contexts. Chapter 14 verse 12 is not talking about doing supernatural miracles. But then again the Apostles did do those miracles and DID heal all kinds of sick people and went into the world. And even today we are doing missionary work. Thats the point. You cannot interpret it as "well then christians should be superheros like the x-men." get real.
@MaharlikaAWA Okay. Up to v5 JC has no problems till Thomas asks a question. JC's reply shows he's got credibility problems. Philip nails it in v8 with a 'put up or shut up'; "show us the father" JC says he's the real deal and in v11 says: "Believe me... or at least... the miracles themselves". v12 Believers will do even greater things. v13 "I will do WHATEVER you ask" v14 says he'll do "ANYTHING" he's asked.
That's what the text actually says. Go to biblos dot com and read it yourself.
@chilimaan JC has no credability problems, it is mans lack of faith that gives the person himself the problem of seeing the truth. Jesus did say he was the real deal, yes. Also Jesus did not say "believe because of the miracles themselves." He said "believe because of the works themselves." What translation are you using? Its common sense believers cannot be God and do the exact same miracles as God. They also cannot die on a cross for sins and forgive people.
@chilimaan Wow 1984 well the 2010 version of NIV doesnt say miracles and nor does any other english translation of the bible. So i tend to believe the word was not intended to be miracles.
@MaharlikaAWA Wow, you actually read it? Amazing. So you'd like to say that god didn't perfectly preserve his word in the 1984 NIV bible, but he got it right in all the others? Fine. I love it when Christians make the claim that the translation is flawed.
Now, what "works" did he do that Philip should have been impressed by? You haven't gotten anywhere.
@chilimaan Its common sense this passage is refering to works of God to witness who He is throughout the world. Jesus is talking about the Holy Spirit as the counselor in verse 16. Also back in verse 13 Jesus says "because I am going to the Father." This is because the Holy Spirit would not come until Christ goes up in glory. Jesus does not say "You wull do even greater miracles than anything I did and you will also walk on water."
@MaharlikaAWA The "spirit of truth" has nothing to do with JC's promise of what believers will be able to do because he is going to his father. It very plainly says his believers WILL do everything he has done and more. It amplifies that by stressing; "whatever" and "anything" they ask. The only qualification is that they believe.
@chilimaan No it doesnt. Jesus said "Do greater works" not "greater miracles" and Jesus was not lying and saying "Hey guys you should all walk on water because I did and create the world too because I also created it!" this is just stupid logic man. Jesus was talking about doing his good works and THEY DID! Jesus went to the father in order for the Holy Spirit to arrive. read the rest of the book of John and then read Acts chapter 2 especially when the Holy Spirit came.
@MaharlikaAWA Oh, you're saying it was a lie now? What "works" did Jesus do? Philip said: "Show us the father" Jesus said: "at least believe on the evidence of the miracles (works) themselves." "(believers) will do even greater things than these"
@chilimaan Obviously if you ask for something outside of the will of God he wont do it. If you childishly take that verse to mean "If you say Jesus's name ANYTHING YOU WANT will happen." then you could say "In the name of Jesus please God, please blow up the world right now." Would he do it? NO! Another example "In the name of Jesus, let me rape this hot chick." Would God make it happen? NOOO! Cmon man use some common sense. Asking in His name is asking within the bounds of God's determined will
@MaharlikaAWA That's simply not what the text says. But what you're implying is that a true believer would ask for those things. I'd suppose a believer would ask to heal the sick, raise the dead and incontrovertibly show others his belief was true.
But, that's just the kind of thing I'd want to do. I'm not a Christian so maybe your take on it is more accurate.
@MaharlikaAWA There is exactly nothing in the text to indicate missionary work. Nothing at all. There is exactly nothing to indicate that the believers in question would be those we refer to as "the apostles". What it says is "anyone". What it promises is "whatever" and "anything". The only condition is belief.
@chilimaan Yes there is. And my example of the apostles was not saying this verse only refers to them, I was simply stating that the Apostles did have miracle powers given by God to heal the sick etc...so in this way believers DID do many greater works in extent because they went to more farther places as the Holy Spirit guided them.
@MaharlikaAWA You say: "Yes there is:" And provide no example. Because you can't. There is nothing in the text to support your position and if there were you would quote it. You didn't quote it. It doesn't exist.
@chilimaan I said yes there is in light of the comment below me. DUH!! dont be so stupid. I provided a lot of evidence below this comment. You need to go to debating class because you arnt good.
And that, folks is the way it goes. Anyone who's followed along has seen how the apologist inevitably claims the bible doesn't say what it says; doesn't mean what it says; shouldn't be read that way. Sadly the apologist doesn't believe anything at all. The "warrior of god" bluster just dissolves under examination. You'd think they'd notice their heroes, Hanefraaff, Friel, Slick, Comfort, D'Souza for all their big talk, never get into unmoderated online debates.
@chilimaan And if you are go ing to attack Christians please actually attack what we believe and not fake things you make out of your ignorance about the Bible.
@MaharlikaAWA If you're going to claim someone is ignorant of the bible you might try to point out, chapter and verse where they're wrong. I've yet to meet ANYONE who could both demonstrate a command of scripture and seem as though they believed. Not one person. It is only ignorance of scripture that lets you believe.
@chilimaan Are you kidding me? You might want to start taking your own advice instead of accusing people of things they dont even believe. I dont need to point out chapter and verse about something that isnt even in the Bible!
I'm sympathetic to arguments such as this one, but a BAD argument bothers me. Justice is not an explanation for salvation, as you imply. Justice explains "why is there hell?" or "why is there punishment?" -- because God is just. We are all sinners and all deserve that same punishment. Salvation is not an act of justice but of mercy. God in his mercy spares some who are deserving of punishment. Problem -- God can't be perfectly merciful AND perfectly just. Mercy to some is injustice to others.
I think that you are making huge assumptions about God. Christianity is not the only means of worshipping God. There are many theists who don't believe in the Christian concept of heaven and hell. Not just adherents to other religions, but theists like myself. To me heaven and hell are not places, but rather states of consciousness. To be in hell is to experience the absence of God in your life. You seem hung up on the concept of heaven and hell. They are not necessary to some theists.
@gsco82 I understand that the versions of Heaven/Hell expressed in this video do not necessarily apply to ALL theists. Theists are unable to agree with each other about what Heaven/Hell is - so all I can do is address the most commonly held beliefs. (Of course, if any Christians could prove the existence of their version, it would make it much easier to discuss.)
However, I think this question is valid regardless of most specifics you apply to Hell itself.
@azsuperman01 God has created all men,all men are sinners under God's wrath, but Jesus died for the elect who were also under God's wrath .So He has made a plan to convert the elect through His word at some point in their lives.John 6:44 No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him and I will raise him up on the last day.So since all are unable to come to Jesus unless the Father draws them, in means all aren't drawn by the Father since many will be in Hell, these receive justice.
@ azsuperman01 Also, god gives an infinite punishment (eternal torture in hell) for a finite crime (stole, lied, didn't believe). How can that be justice? We're not talking about 75 years in the slammer.. we're talking about 900 trillion lifetimes and more.
BUT, they still will say that their god "is just".
Your argument would be valid if what you think the bible teaches were what the bible truly teaches. It isn't.
The bible nowhere says you have an immortal soul. Nobody is in hell, no one is in heaven. "The wages of sin is death." Get it? It's amazing what you can learn if you read the book and stop relying on self appointed teachers.
You err along with those that think this. When a judge passes sentence and grants one lenency that is sorry for his crime but condems another who feels no remorse- is this UNJUST? YOU condemn unjustly "Condemn not and you shall not be condemed." We bring our own sins back upon us-THIS is the JUST JUDGEMENT OF GOD.
@azsuperman01 Secondly, God doesn't forgive you because you've met a certain criteria. No where does the bible say that. In fact, the Bible doesn't even say that it is our choice out of free will to be saved. It does say over and over again that we have all made mistakes and have committed a crime, and that our forgiveness is totally and completely a gift. It has nothing to do with our choices or actions or works. Jesus saves us by grace alone. It's all Him not us.
@Criffler There is a very large contradicting list in the BIBLE that tells you the exact requirements to get into heaven, but if you do as this list says, you must remove some things from it, as they clash. How is it possible to give away, AND sell all of your posessions?
@supersaupe I can definitely see how things like that in the Bible seem to be contradictions. However, no where in the Bible does it say that you have to follow a list of rules to get into heaven. I am actually curious where you heard that. In the book of Romans, the apostle Paul talks about the whole purpose for the law/rules, is not so that we would follow them to get into heaven, but simply that we would know we can't possibly follow all the rules.
@Criffler Paul was the first in a long line of apologists who just make shit up. Jesus says right there in your Bible that he came to uphold the Jewish law when directly asked about it; it's as clear and un-ambiguous as any text could possibly be. So Paul just ignores it and comes up with the "new covenant" idea which is basically "Christianity According to Paul: My Additions, Subtractions and Putting of Women into Their Place." He was basically the Joseph Smith of the 1st century.
@supersaupe He says that if you want to get into heaven by following the rules, you have to follow them perfectly. In other words, no one can do it. That is the whole point of Jesus, so that we would have a way of getting to heaven that doesn't require us to follow the rules, but instead is a free gift.
@supersaupe The story in the bible where Jesus tells the man to sell all of his possessions, doesn't end with him selling all of his possessions and getting into heaven. It ends with him walking away sad because he knows that he can't do it. That was Jesus' point, that we can't do it by following the rules, but that we would know we need him.
@azsuperman01 I'm not quite sure how much of the bible you've read or understood, but your explanation of Christianity's claims are very flawed. Firstly, God doesn't just forgive you without punishing your sins. God is a perfectly just God and so He can't simply let you go free without your crimes being punished. That is why we have Jesus. He didn't just sacrifice himself to himself for fun. It was so that our crimes could be punished and He could be perfectly just. Jesus took our punishment.
wrong buddy and im sorry u have been mis informed, salvation and having eternal life with the father is knowing the father- not being in a religion or coining yourself as a christian. because our theology says not all who know of jesus christ will make it to heaven, it is the ones who have a relationship with him. thats matt 7:21-23, or the parable of the ten virgins which is math 25:1-13
justice demands that the same crimes warrant the same punishment, regardless of who commits it? WRONG! that's your opinion again! and being forgiven doesn't give us a free pass to do whatever we want. We have to truly be sorry for what we have done ask forgiveness, and have a relationship with god. its not about what we have done, its about knowing god and trying to be as much like Jesus as we possibly can. your arguments are not arguments but ignorant rants based on flawed logic. do research!
Unfortunately you misunderstood christian theology. Being a christian does'nt automatically mean that you go to heaven. Because what you do does matter. Christian believer has hope that he will go to heaven but he can't be 100% sure, - regardless it is regular believer, priest or bishop.
You simplify the theology - that is why you come to wrong conclusion.
Not necessarily. It's not about being a Christian. Christ wasn't a Christian. God isn't a Christian. Christianity has very little to do with heaven or hell. It's about being apologetic, truly apologetic about what you've done and then actually apoligizing for said misdeed. If you are sorry and you apologize, God will forgive you and you get to go to heaven if you don't and are glad that you did what you did then you get to go to hell.

People claiming to be Christians that have fallen for the lie that God is going to punish people for all eternity in a burning Hell do not know the God of the Bible. I hope you have a bible if not I'm sure you can find these scriptures online. They show how God really feals about this. deuteronomy 18:10; 2kings 16:3; 23:10; 2Chronicles 28:3; 33:6; (Jeremiah 7:31) Ezekiel 16:21; 23:37
@ladivadivala It doesn't matter if hell doesn't exist. If he denies a reward to someone simply for being skeptical in the face of tons of evidence, and rewards it to a murderous child rapist who accepted Jesus and was sincerely sorry about raping children, he is not just.
@RockBanned what your are saying is that a person can't change. And that is not true at all. People can sincerely change. And that rapist murderer can change, but if that rapist murder is faking a change, God will know. Your are denying that Everything that exists was brought into existance by someone. How could that happen? Not one scientists with all their vast knowledge can ever answer that question for you. They go from the point of "After" it all began.
@ladivadivala My point is that under Christian doctrine, a murdering child rapist who "changes" and becomes a good person through Jesus is seen as more worthy than a person who could have cured cancer, fed the sick, etc but just wasn't Christian. Sorry, that is not just, regardless of whether the child rapist became Mother Teresa afterwards. To say that the only redeeming quality a person can have is credulity is a bad system.
@RockBanned I understand your point completely. And "Christian" Doctrine is not valid when it comes from the very same people who will kill other people in the name of their "Religion". Jesus told his followers to pursue Peace; And Paul also told Christians not to kill. However So Called "Christians" have no problem going to war and killing because they think God is on their side. It is not up to "Man" to determine who is better or worse; It is up to God. We can't Judge each other.
@ladivadivala You completely missed my point. It is simply this: To say that it is just for a person to cure cancer, be a perfectly moral person, etc but still go to hell (or be denied heaven) simply for being an atheist and have a child rapist who sincerely accepts Jesus and "changes" not go to hell is simply wrong, i'm sorry. I can judge that. If you say I can't judge what is just or not in the eyes of God, then neither can you and you cannot assert you know his will or opinion.
So you don't make any decisions based on your beliefs? It does not alter your behavior at all?
That is the reason why people have an interest, a stake in what other people believe. We have to live with you, and I at least consider it a social obligation for your behavior to be based on reality to the best of your ability.
you said that God is required to punish evil doers, It isnt written no where in scriptures that God is required to do anything. That was kinda dumb to say that because if God did exist and was the creator of all things then there would be nothing greater then him to hold him to anything or require from him. You Generalize also and that makes you wrong.
Where do you get your info from O0? This whole place is of Jesus/Judgment. He knows your heart inside and out, and he will know/Judge you for your sins, you can't just say his name with no accounting for what you did, this is a judgment. If you have a good heart but sinned, then you get ever lasting life I believe. He already knows who you are if youe evil or not, and if you look, people who died got to see there sins, and if they were good and not done on earth, placed back in life to live betr
@EZSEEK It's not about having a good heart. We all have wicked hearts that is why we need a savior. Whether we are on our death bed or have 75 years left of life it comes down to repentance. Repent so that our relationship with God is restored. Look at the "good" people in Matthew 7:21-23. The relationship we have with God here on earth will continue after we die. So the question is, are we pursuing and getting to know Jesus with all our heart, soul and mind? Keep your comments coming, much love
Dear wicked heart, no J/K. Some of us don't have a wicked heart, just sin, so I would have to say your wrong there, but I will take the love and see what I can find in the other.. There is wicked a foot, but some don't care for it, they simply just fall short with sin..
Don't read in to things brother/sister.. We all must give up those sins. Why such a angry heart, that is not of Love, and if it is not of love, you are not walking with Jesus it says right in the Bible. What did I do to you?. I am passing on my heart to others..
When you become a christian you accept jesus as your savior. What he did on the cross ERASES your sin, hes already paid for it. the guys list on the left side of the "T" graph should be empty. then it would be correct and maybe then it would make more sense to you. Not membership....erasal!
one of many bits of pusedo logic: logic should be devoid of assumptions or in the case that it cannot be it should consider all assumptions not one. you assume that the "true crime" is not being Christian ok fine now define Christian because of the numerous factions they can't all be right can they? not if they claim there is one way and then don't agree with each other. but if you assume the "true crime" is disobedence against God now we have a whole new argument.
It's kinda like exploting Christianity at 2:20... when asking for forgivness you need to mean it, really want it and not many people can do that, those who do would except the fact that they've lived a horrible life...
Person A and Person B... yeah, great example
It's like brushing your teeth and not brushing your teeth and God's the dentist where as lossing ones tooth is like going to hell and brushing them is like asking for forgiveness.
Except not brushing your teeth your whole life and then, as it is about to fall out, brushing it once and meaning it will get you nowhere. That is because this is the REAL world.
Not made up by someone thousands of years ago.
If Harry potter was written then we'd most likely be worshipping Dumbledore
does this work in court? if i stand before the judge and say judge "i think you are awsome and always have, i accept you into my heart. will you forgive my transgressions without punishment?"
hmmm, what would a just judge do? (imagine i have killed someone and the family is awaiting the sentencing)
@robertwc82 It's different than that. It's like standing before the judge, he finds you guilty of all crimes and gives you the death sentence. But the judge's son says I'll serve the death sentence so you don't have to. All sin, no mater how small, deserves death. Sin is disconnect with God and in order to get back into a right relationship with perfect God death has to happen. 2000 years ago people had to sacrifice something. Today, trust in Jesus gets us back into that right relationship.
I rather not scare people, I rather save them with Jesus's Love. When you place Hell before a none believer, they tend to run even further away.. I understand what your trying to say, but kill it with Love, Jesus would like that..
@kleinboogiephoto so, if i killed your family and the judge punished his son in my place, you would be satisfied justice was served, as long as someone is punished its ok that their murderer walks free?
you Amoral piece of shit, you dont deserve the love of your family.
"in order to get back into a right relationship with perfect God death has to happen"
if that is the case then god has limits and is not omniscient
only a fucking christian could make up such a retarded excuse
@robertwc82 I think we are talking about two different things here. Mans judgment here on earth and the eternal judgment by God. When we are speaking in analogies its good to clarify what exactly we are talking about otherwise it gets into a game of semantics. I apologize for not being clear. Agreed, it was very stupid of me.
@robertwc82 If a man murders someone they need to be punished for it. It doesnt matter if they claim God or not. The point I was trying to make is if we are in Gods court where he judges all things done while alive then we would have no choice but to say we are guilty of breaking his law. The only way to be right before Him is to have lived a perfect life (impossible) or have someone else pay the price for our crimes.
@robertwc82 Who said God isnt limited? God is limited to his very nature. He cannot let sin go unpunished. He cannot show mercy where there is no repentance. He cannot deny himself. He cannot lie. He cannot make a mistake. Tell me more about the God you believe in and Ill tell you more about the God I believe in. The goal is to find the truth of the matter and what is really real. Help me to understand what you believe...
Without God, how do we come up with ethical and moral law? Can society legislate morality? Whos to say my morals are better than someone elses? If its based on whats best for society or majority rules, tell that to the Jews during the holocaust. Man left alone will come up with his own standards of action to benefit himself before the wellbeing of other people. In 911 the US viewed the highjackers as terrorists while the Taliban viewed them as heroes. Help me see a good world without God.
@kleinboogiephoto well 1st of all there are very simple explanations for what reality IS and how it emerges and how societies legislate it (give you a hint for that last one, its called law) but i suspect you wouldnt understand any way. so instead of bothering to try to enlighten you, i will ask you the question WITH GOD, how do we come up with ethical and moral law?!
ill tell you its based on whats best for the RULING CLASS of society or majority rules!
I've just watched three of your vids. Again, this video is very good. Thank you. However, you need to stop generalizing this theology of salvation by faith alone to every christian. Catholics, who represents the first and largest christian church on the planet believe in no such thing. Anglicans don't either I think (at least C.S. Lewis didn't). If God was the God described by fundamentalist christians, I probably would be an atheist like you. God bless you and shine on you his light.
Why are there so many different gods? In one faith there are still hundreds of sub-gods created by each denomination. You can't choose which one you agree with and expect to get to heaven. God can make his story clear for everyone to understand or he can fuck off.
Yes, well when you see it like that God can f-off. Like I said (between the lines), catholics don't think you have to believe in God to go to heaven. People need to "believe" in Love and they will go to heaven. And since God is Love, it's like saying the same thing. I hope this is a nicer way of seeing it for you. Atheists who love, then die and discover God and love Him (without knowing it, they loved Him all their life) will surely go to heaven. Jesus gave one commandment: LOVE! Simple, yet...
And Jesus (God incarnate) was very clear for that part of the story (love), I find. But you are right in saying that today's world can be confusing...
Anyway, just for fun, look up Saint Padre Pio on youtube or the net.
Jesus also said that everything in the old testiment still applies. I am not ignorant of christianity. I went to a christian primary school, secondary school and am at a christian college.
Well He didn't quite put it that way. He said He came not to abolish the law put to perfect it. This means modifying. He perfected it by giving us the key to interpreting this law: Love. With Love as the key, you will not stone an adulterer or a homosexual anymore. Jesus also said that the law was harsh because the people were harsh and stubborn. Now however, with Love as key and the Church to guide us, we should know which parts of the law are too harsh and which still apply. Love, love, love!
May God bless you 666moshpit666. I've been through the same path of questionning as you. And when people gave me answers, it wouldn't really help me that much (at least not instantly) so I'm not expecting to change your mind by answering your questions. However keep asking them and one day, most of it will fit together (there are still many questions I have about the crazy old testament with its wars etc...). Someone that helped me put some pieces together was Padre Pio. Did yo look him up?
Were you really a Christian before? Because you don't seem to understand this with the judgement at all, which you ought to understand if you were a Christian. The most interesting part of this video, is the last text; "Punishing an innocent...", which you do not back up at all. Why couldn't that be justice? Isn't this just a matter of your own view of right or wrong? (surely you've heard the moral arguments before?)
...and i say verily unto thee, use the bible to refute the bible. To thine enemies it will be like ripping off their own arm and beating them with it..."
If religion doctrine was made today, it would be much more believable in terms of realism (less believable for its abrupt existence)...
But back in the day, heaven and hell was societies perfect justice method. Everything was black and white. You steal? DEAD! Curse? DEAD!! Change religion? MURDERED..in the name of God of course, so it's okay.
Heaven and hell worked back then because it was relevant to what was going on at the time, when people were heathens and sociopaths.

Dude! OMG who are you? LOL your funny! It''s not a membership it's a choice you crazy goof! wow your logic is like 4th grade! I feel for you bro and rest who never finished school. but ignorance IS bliss! God is just, but to not choose him is your choice. You have poor logic and need to read more before you post your ignorance for all to see.
believe is not a choice. for example: stop believing that dogs exist. just for a week. could you? or believe another religion, abandon your god for one day. just to say it membership is a choice too.
That's not an example of the 'only' choice. You could still choose to eat the bananas, or neither the chips nor the bananas. That you'll die for it - and so you wouldn't want to choose them - is not the same as being unable to choose them at all.
I guess you didn't quite understand the analogy. Let me elucidate. God offers you the following choice: worship me or not. Worship me and be rewarded. Don't worship me and be condemned to hell for eternity. No third option of not doing either. So revisiting the analogy, I offer you the choice of bananas or chips. You HAVE to choose one or the other...not choosing one means the same result. Eat the bananas and live, choose the chips and boom...try to say you'd like lasagna means not choosing...
...the bananas and so boom. Get it now? No third choice with god either...he/she/it doesn't allow the third option...either worship, or don't, but trying to sit on the fence is the same as not worshipping to god.
@Godshoulddie theres is a choice, but there is a conseqeunce if you choose wrong, I can choose to not breath, but I pass out choices always create a reaction, but some are more extreme than others
read more? this guy used to be a christian he knows more about the bible than either of us if you don't believe me go to his page and take his bible quiz. i dare ya. furthermore its very "christian" of you to JUDGE this man you dont even know as bible illiterate and having the logic of a 4th grader. in closing, as a Christian you OWE this man an answer to his question (how do you figure that god is just?) as per 1peter3:15. thats right, ignoring that question was a sin acording to your doctrine.
@odeivonimajneb you need to read more, perhaps numbers 31:1-18 would be a good start. also, how the fuck is eternal torture justice for finite crime? how is it justice when people go to hell for simply not buying YOUR bullshit
@odeivonimajneb also, he was spot on when he talked about doing whatever you feel like and repenting ( throwing responsiblitie off) and go straight to heaven, if you think different then explain why
If you see what is going in the US, you fall short from fascism and communism. First plank of communist agenda, remove God/religion, control the textbooks, control the banks, control people through sports and sex culture, etc...

I am not surprised since you came from generation of Darwinism who believes that you came from ape/animal. A theory that has not an iota of evidence; no transitional fossils to prove their theory; genetically a scientific impossibility; your genes and DNA will tell you that. After all evolution theory is just an educated guess, hypothesis, and imaginations from their minds. It's over blown scientific theory and not an iota of fact! It's science fiction; tale dressed up with science.
I can type how ever I choose to is not a sin and I am not your property. But that's not the point I never admitted to believe in evolution I just choose to wait (if ever) until we find something remotely true. But you seem to know the answer to the universe by simply reading a book that says nothing about how it was done just that it happened and that's a reasonable answer for you but its not for me. I rather go to hell then share heaven with ignorant people like yourself.
Your assuming that I'm writing on the side of religion!
No, No, My original comment was in reply to this 'I am not surprised since you came from generation of Darwinism who believes that you came from ape/animal. A theory that has not an iota of evidence; no transitional fossils to prove their theory;

No, No, My original comment was in reply to this 'I am not surprised since you came from generation of Darwinism who believes that you came from ape/animal. A theory that has not an iota of evidence; no transitional fossils to prove their theory;'
Sorry for not making that clear enough in my first post!
And by convincing yourself there is no God it makes it okay for you to bash other people's belief. Faith and religion are fundamentally universal human right. Your NWO's agenda is to eradicate/exterminate God so they will rule and become masters of your so called NWO
Here is a great video that explains how God can be just and forgive men. Its long but worth it. If you absolutly can't wait, fast forward to about the 44 minute mark.
The world is thousands of times a much worse state now, more so than at any time in history. So where is this mysterious "miracle god" and why hasn't he put an end to the world's sufferings> Of course, like blind sheeple, you take it on faith that only he knows best. That's why innocent people get murdered in the streets every day, thousands of children starve to death every year. Disease, war, greed, hunger, dictators, etc, the list goes on and on. But to feel safe, believe in santa claus.
Did your biblical christian god sit at a desk with pen in hand a write the bible? Get a grip! The bible is a book of many prophecies and stories told by different men of the day, explaining what they didn't understand in relation to the world they lived in at the time. Like seeing a chariot of fire 1,000 years ago. How could a UFO be explained at that time period. One would explain it in relation to what they understood the world they lived in to be at that time.
Your argument has no biblical basis. Judgment is reserved for the second coming of Christ, so there is no hell yet, it's only after the 1000 years after Christ came that all those who are deemed not worthy for salvation will be thrown to the lake of fire together with the great deceiver or Satan and the fallen angels and the false prophet. Justice has everything to do with it; saying sorry is not enough to earn you salvation for faith is measured by your heart and deeds.
You see this is where you are wrong in your "interpretations"...Even you are a Christian, you will be judged according to your heart and deeds (actions). And those who are not Christians will be judged according to their hearts and deeds for "faith" without deeds is dead.
so you say coffecup111 but again you cant prove anything this is strictly your opinion no facts needed in you magical bible world. just like unicorns your god lives in your head and not in the real world.
And if you are saying that you have read the Bible then how come you don't know that it is in the Bible that God said "I am the Alpha and Omega"?
And about your question about me being not religious, there is a difference from being spiritual and being religious, and I am sorry if I assumed about your conversion,,, my bad
ok all can debate on where the first living thing came from or where GOD came from, but No one has all the answers to every question. You must just simply have faith. Take a look around you see all the beauty and everyday miracles that happen & you will know that there is a GOD.
It was mans sin & the devils rebellion that caused these types of things to happen. He wants us to reli on his understanding not ours. 1 samuel 2:6-7 the Lord gives both death & life. The Lord makes some poor & others rich;he brings some down & lifts others up. GOD never promised an easy life in the bible.
How do you understand love? Is it just chemical? Does love have any purpose other than being self serving? Do you want a God that you can completely understand because that seem like a small God? I can see you are a man of faith because it take faith to believe what you do that simply everything happens in time and chance. Thanks for sharing your beliefs.
At the end of the day, God is God and He has authority on anything. The only debate here is if God exists. Let's evolution actually existed, and we came from monkeys, then who created the monkey? If it's the big bang theory then who created the asteroid? Obviously there should be a creator. And God said "I am the Alpha and Omega", he is the beginning and the end and time is in His hands.
I am not saying that the evolution theory claims that there is a creator, in fact it denies that. Read what I am saying clearly and try to analyze what I am saying.
So you're saying that it is hydrogen, where does the hydrogen came from?
If you have an open mind and then you will accept the fact that something created the most primary elements.
You might want to do some reading into the subject yourself instead of just asking people to explain everything all the time.
"If you have an open mind and then you will accept the fact that something created the most primary elements. "
And if YOU have an open mind you've got to consider the possibility that the "creation" of the universe might not have been due to a creator, instead of saying "Goddidit ,the end".
Then, explain to me these things. I'm lazy and I hate reading, explain to me all my questions then I will agree with you.
Isn't these what you guys are always standing on? That our faith is unexplainable so you refuse to believe in God?
Then so, I have questions as well about you guys. If I am satisfied with the answer, if it is not sarcastic or in a form of debate but rather in a form of explanation then I shall shut up.
1."Isn't these what you guys are always standing on? That our faith is unexplainable so you refuse to believe in God?"
Who'se "you" guys?
Anyway, to answer your question, people become atheists, agnostics etc for various reasons. The fact that religion requires faith instead of evidence is one big one but not the only one. And your religion isn't the only one.
"Generally people who doesn't want to believe" You either choose to believe or you dont.Belief is not a default position steffanielyn.
Why am i an atheist?
I was raised as a christian. I never really thought about my religion, i just took it as a given. Then.. i actually read the Bible and my faith effectively disappeared over the course of.....about 2 years( i didn't lose my faith right after reading the bible.....it was a long process which involved reading a lot of material.)
why did you lose faith because of hypochristians that surrounds you? Because you don't see anyone function as they say they do? I have been there, I've been an atheist, pagan, wicca, name it.
But at the end I still can't deny that there is God. I will not hate God because of the hateful people that surrounds me.
My relationship with God is between him and me, and I don't need a church to function as a medium to God. Not because I am a Christian that I religious, I hate religion.
"see that is the thing, it's only God who said "I am the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end."He hold time in His hands. No other gods have ever documented anything like that, neither scientists can. "
Wait....so....you're a non religious believer in God...yet you say God said " I am the alpha and the omega" ?
You missed the criteria of TRULY REPENTING for those horrible murders on you deathbed. Christians have to be TRULY sorry for every sin they have committed, for the rest of their lives. Going to church has nothing to do with salvation! Jesus was extremely clear on this. Don't be an ignorant arrogant.
Please, don't make any more of these videos, or if you do learn what it is you are railing against. I would never defend the thing you are battling because it is not Christianity.
twistedohio33 3 weeks ago
I appreciate how calm you delivered this video, but you do not have all the facts straight. God is just but He is also merciful. God condemns us all to hell except His son died for us. He is giving us a free gift and all we have to do is except it. Also, church is not part of salvation. Church is just for spiritual growth and communion with other believers.
Cargorox5 3 months ago
I appreciate what you're trying to do with your videos, and it seems you're trying to be calm and fair. But I'm afraid your theology is very basic and grossly oversimplified. True conversion cannot happen casually, and this deathbed scenario you mention is no sure thing. I don't blame you, many churchgoers themselves are deceived. American Christianity is largely a hoax, a watered-down gospel, almost unrecognizable from its true form.
pcgamerjoe 5 months ago
@pcgamerjoe You can declare ridiculous absolutes like "true conversion cannot happen casually" all you want, but who made you the arbiter of what constitutes a "true" or "false" conversion? Just you and God, right? That's simply an easy-out Christians use when they're confronted with someone who's freed themselves of the mind-numbing retardation of religion. "Well, he never truly believed!" just protects Christians from having to honestly examine the reasons because they're intellectual cowards.
VanDammesCokeDealer 2 weeks ago
@VanDammesCokeDealer I normally don't respond to things like this because it's impossible to convince anyone who is set in his ways, but I'll just briefly address what's wrong with your statement.
First of all, I'm assuming you're deeply experienced and well-versed in the Bible and not just a casual reader? If not, then you have no basis for "knowing" anything about true Christianity. I don't have a lot of space here in YT, but I'll just give you one verse for now: Philippians 2:12.
pcgamerjoe 2 weeks ago
@pcgamerjoe If you don't care to look it up, it says to work out your salvation with "fear and trembling." It doesn't say, "Hey, if you have a feel-good moment of emotion, you're set!"
There's so much more I could say, but YT comments really are the worst way to talk about religion. I've been studying the Bible for years and I still have huge lightbulb moments. It's really much deeper than you give it credit for, but I guess it's easier to assume we're all mindless idiots.
pcgamerjoe 2 weeks ago
God is about as just, as the worst tyrant on earth. Think about it !! Aertly tyrants kill their opponents, and that is the end. But this LOVINg heavenly father tortures FOR ALL ETERNITY, not only his opponents, but even those who happen to not-believe in him.

its not that if your a christian even in the bible it says not everyone who calls on the lord will be saved there are christians who are going to hell and your talking about fairness this unfortuanatly is another bad video
kewl6969 8 months ago
This is a simplistic understanding of salvation and of course when you distill it down it sounds absurd. Saying a simple prayer is not going to get you fire insurance, Christians espousing that need to read their Bible. Yes, God sends people to Hell for eternity. Entrance into Heaven requires total repentance, not some last minute prayer. Some might get saved this way but I wouldn't bank on it! The road to Hell is wide and many are on it, but the gate to Heaven is narrow and few find it.

wrong....1 Peter 4:17For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God? Jugement begins with cristians.... not all cristians will go to heven..... and yes god will forgive you only if you repent of your sins... god cant forgive you for wat you havent repented....

God is just because esentially we all deserve hell, because we are all sinners and sinning = hell but accepting christ is accepting ogds forgiveness, god i offering to forgive you, and if you deny forgiveness he punishes you for sin, it's like someone hands you a box of candy you can take it or refuse it, but if you refuse don't complain because you have no candy

Things are not quite what he says, but people who listen to anti-Christians for knowledge about Christianityare almost smart enough to their dog do brain surgery on them.
daddyg321 11 months ago

MaharlikaAWA 1 year ago
@MaharlikaAWA You didn't actually watch the video, did you? None of what you say means anything. Jesus (according to Christians) is not dead. Jesus (according to Christians) did not take ANY sin "onto his flesh". There isn't one speck less "sin" after the crucification than before. The people who don't get punished simply aren't punished. They're forgiven.
chilimaan 11 months ago
@chilimaan YES I DID watch the video. You do not even know what Christians believe you are attacking a straw man. Jesus Christ never sinned or did anything wrong. he was perfect. But he died in the place of sinners and took their punishment. Their sins was put on his flesh and he was killed for it. That is why the Father forsaked him. You need to read the bible. All sins are accounted for and punished and put to death on the cross.
MaharlikaAWA 11 months ago
@MaharlikaAWA Right. The problem is that others haven't read the bible. Not that you don't know what you're talking about. Well; just choosing one of the things you've said. What makes Jesus perfect? He seems laughably stupid to me. At best. It's not even a problem that I don't believe the things he said. You don't even believe the things he said.
chilimaan 11 months ago
@chilimaan Oh really. What dont I believe about what he said? And what makes him laughable stupid? And what makes Jesus perfect you ask? Well the fact he did not ever sin and was God embodied in flesh. Duh.
MaharlikaAWA 11 months ago
@MaharlikaAWA
Your really should read that bible.
He cursed a tree. That was stupid.
He destroyed peoples property. That was bad. And stupid.
To pick just one thing he said that you don't believe. John 14:12.
Oh yeah, there's another stupid thing: He said he was God. Duh.
chilimaan 11 months ago
@chilimaan Its great you admit Jesus said He was God. Its wonderful to know Jesus was God and did what he did for us. What about john 14:12 is there not to believe? Might want to tell me your point. Because I believe in that verse and its true.
MaharlikaAWA 11 months ago
@MaharlikaAWA According to the story, Jesus walked on water, healed the sick, cursed trees to death, raised the dead. And in John 14:12 it says that those who believe in him will do the same and more.
It's kind of funny that we can assume the truth of your fantasy, and the only thing that happens is Christians are instantly exposed as hell bound unbelievers. I've yet to meet anyone who didn't try to squirm out of what the text says; denying the truth of it.
Have fun.
chilimaan 11 months ago
@chilimaan Are you kidding me? You act like you are a bible expert and have read the entire bible yet you dont even understand proper hermaneutics. All of those other stories are in completely different chapters. John 14 was emphasizing the spiritual aspects of God's work not miracles. It isnt about power, it is about extent. The discples would become witnesses to the whole world through the Holy Spirit. Jesus was only in Israel and the Holy Spirit would not come until he went to the Father.
MaharlikaAWA 11 months ago
@chilimaan The only one denying the truth of the passage of John 14:12 is you and your fantasy that God does not exist. The only person who is doing squirming is you, with your faulty interpretation tactics abnd straw man arguments. You fail completely. You arnt even worth talking to.
MaharlikaAWA 11 months ago
@MaharlikaAWA I don't take offense. I know where you're coming from.
It's crystal clear.
chilimaan 11 months ago
@chilimaan Wrong. Its not about walking on water and cursing trees. Those happened in other chapters in different contexts. Chapter 14 verse 12 is not talking about doing supernatural miracles. But then again the Apostles did do those miracles and DID heal all kinds of sick people and went into the world. And even today we are doing missionary work. Thats the point. You cannot interpret it as "well then christians should be superheros like the x-men." get real.
MaharlikaAWA 11 months ago
@MaharlikaAWA Okay. Up to v5 JC has no problems till Thomas asks a question. JC's reply shows he's got credibility problems. Philip nails it in v8 with a 'put up or shut up'; "show us the father" JC says he's the real deal and in v11 says: "Believe me... or at least... the miracles themselves". v12 Believers will do even greater things. v13 "I will do WHATEVER you ask" v14 says he'll do "ANYTHING" he's asked.
That's what the text actually says. Go to biblos dot com and read it yourself.
chilimaan 11 months ago
@chilimaan JC has no credability problems, it is mans lack of faith that gives the person himself the problem of seeing the truth. Jesus did say he was the real deal, yes. Also Jesus did not say "believe because of the miracles themselves." He said "believe because of the works themselves." What translation are you using? Its common sense believers cannot be God and do the exact same miracles as God. They also cannot die on a cross for sins and forgive people.
MaharlikaAWA 11 months ago
@MaharlikaAWA I already told you it was the 1984 NIV translation. I also invited you to go to biblos dot com and read it for yourself.
chilimaan 11 months ago
@chilimaan Wow 1984 well the 2010 version of NIV doesnt say miracles and nor does any other english translation of the bible. So i tend to believe the word was not intended to be miracles.
MaharlikaAWA 11 months ago
@MaharlikaAWA Wow, you actually read it? Amazing. So you'd like to say that god didn't perfectly preserve his word in the 1984 NIV bible, but he got it right in all the others? Fine. I love it when Christians make the claim that the translation is flawed.
Now, what "works" did he do that Philip should have been impressed by? You haven't gotten anywhere.
chilimaan 11 months ago
@chilimaan Its common sense this passage is refering to works of God to witness who He is throughout the world. Jesus is talking about the Holy Spirit as the counselor in verse 16. Also back in verse 13 Jesus says "because I am going to the Father." This is because the Holy Spirit would not come until Christ goes up in glory. Jesus does not say "You wull do even greater miracles than anything I did and you will also walk on water."
MaharlikaAWA 11 months ago
@MaharlikaAWA The "spirit of truth" has nothing to do with JC's promise of what believers will be able to do because he is going to his father. It very plainly says his believers WILL do everything he has done and more. It amplifies that by stressing; "whatever" and "anything" they ask. The only qualification is that they believe.
chilimaan 11 months ago
@chilimaan No it doesnt. Jesus said "Do greater works" not "greater miracles" and Jesus was not lying and saying "Hey guys you should all walk on water because I did and create the world too because I also created it!" this is just stupid logic man. Jesus was talking about doing his good works and THEY DID! Jesus went to the father in order for the Holy Spirit to arrive. read the rest of the book of John and then read Acts chapter 2 especially when the Holy Spirit came.
MaharlikaAWA 11 months ago
@MaharlikaAWA Oh, you're saying it was a lie now? What "works" did Jesus do? Philip said: "Show us the father" Jesus said: "at least believe on the evidence of the miracles (works) themselves." "(believers) will do even greater things than these"
chilimaan 11 months ago
@chilimaan Obviously if you ask for something outside of the will of God he wont do it. If you childishly take that verse to mean "If you say Jesus's name ANYTHING YOU WANT will happen." then you could say "In the name of Jesus please God, please blow up the world right now." Would he do it? NO! Another example "In the name of Jesus, let me rape this hot chick." Would God make it happen? NOOO! Cmon man use some common sense. Asking in His name is asking within the bounds of God's determined will
MaharlikaAWA 11 months ago
@MaharlikaAWA That's simply not what the text says. But what you're implying is that a true believer would ask for those things. I'd suppose a believer would ask to heal the sick, raise the dead and incontrovertibly show others his belief was true.
But, that's just the kind of thing I'd want to do. I'm not a Christian so maybe your take on it is more accurate.
chilimaan 11 months ago
@MaharlikaAWA There is exactly nothing in the text to indicate missionary work. Nothing at all. There is exactly nothing to indicate that the believers in question would be those we refer to as "the apostles". What it says is "anyone". What it promises is "whatever" and "anything". The only condition is belief.
And that's what it actually does say.
chilimaan 11 months ago
@chilimaan Yes there is. And my example of the apostles was not saying this verse only refers to them, I was simply stating that the Apostles did have miracle powers given by God to heal the sick etc...so in this way believers DID do many greater works in extent because they went to more farther places as the Holy Spirit guided them.
MaharlikaAWA 11 months ago
@MaharlikaAWA You say: "Yes there is:" And provide no example. Because you can't. There is nothing in the text to support your position and if there were you would quote it. You didn't quote it. It doesn't exist.
chilimaan 11 months ago
@chilimaan I said yes there is in light of the comment below me. DUH!! dont be so stupid. I provided a lot of evidence below this comment. You need to go to debating class because you arnt good.
MaharlikaAWA 11 months ago
@MaharlikaAWA No. You made an unsubstantiated claim. That's not evidence. That's an assertion. Evidence would look like:
John 14 (since that's the chapter you're disputing) vXX "what the verse(s) say(s)" followed by interpretation as needed.
You tell me what "debating class" you went to and I'll be sure to avoid it.
chilimaan 11 months ago
And that, folks is the way it goes. Anyone who's followed along has seen how the apologist inevitably claims the bible doesn't say what it says; doesn't mean what it says; shouldn't be read that way. Sadly the apologist doesn't believe anything at all. The "warrior of god" bluster just dissolves under examination. You'd think they'd notice their heroes, Hanefraaff, Friel, Slick, Comfort, D'Souza for all their big talk, never get into unmoderated online debates.
Must be some reason for that.
chilimaan 11 months ago
@chilimaan And if you are go ing to attack Christians please actually attack what we believe and not fake things you make out of your ignorance about the Bible.
MaharlikaAWA 11 months ago
@MaharlikaAWA If you're going to claim someone is ignorant of the bible you might try to point out, chapter and verse where they're wrong. I've yet to meet ANYONE who could both demonstrate a command of scripture and seem as though they believed. Not one person. It is only ignorance of scripture that lets you believe.
chilimaan 11 months ago
@chilimaan Are you kidding me? You might want to start taking your own advice instead of accusing people of things they dont even believe. I dont need to point out chapter and verse about something that isnt even in the Bible!
MaharlikaAWA 11 months ago

They are not necessary to some theists.
gsco82 1 year ago
@gsco82 I understand that the versions of Heaven/Hell expressed in this video do not necessarily apply to ALL theists. Theists are unable to agree with each other about what Heaven/Hell is - so all I can do is address the most commonly held beliefs. (Of course, if any Christians could prove the existence of their version, it would make it much easier to discuss.)
However, I think this question is valid regardless of most specifics you apply to Hell itself.
azsuperman01 1 year ago 3
@azsuperman01 God has created all men,all men are sinners under God's wrath, but Jesus died for the elect who were also under God's wrath .So He has made a plan to convert the elect through His word at some point in their lives.John 6:44 No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him and I will raise him up on the last day.So since all are unable to come to Jesus unless the Father draws them, in means all aren't drawn by the Father since many will be in Hell, these receive justice.
CBALLEN 11 months ago
@ azsuperman01 Also, god gives an infinite punishment (eternal torture in hell) for a finite crime (stole, lied, didn't believe). How can that be justice? We're not talking about 75 years in the slammer.. we're talking about 900 trillion lifetimes and more.
BUT, they still will say that their god "is just".

Your argument would be valid if what you think the bible teaches were what the bible truly teaches. It isn't.
The bible nowhere says you have an immortal soul. Nobody is in hell, no one is in heaven. "The wages of sin is death." Get it? It's amazing what you can learn if you read the book and stop relying on self appointed teachers.
knoxbird 1 year ago
You err along with those that think this. When a judge passes sentence and grants one lenency that is sorry for his crime but condems another who feels no remorse- is this UNJUST? YOU condemn unjustly "Condemn not and you shall not be condemed." We bring our own sins back upon us-THIS is the JUST JUDGEMENT OF GOD.
IslandMystic 1 year ago
@azsuperman01 Secondly, God doesn't forgive you because you've met a certain criteria. No where does the bible say that. In fact, the Bible doesn't even say that it is our choice out of free will to be saved. It does say over and over again that we have all made mistakes and have committed a crime, and that our forgiveness is totally and completely a gift. It has nothing to do with our choices or actions or works. Jesus saves us by grace alone. It's all Him not us.
Criffler 1 year ago
@Criffler Then your god's truly a piece of shit.
marinefrenzy 1 year ago
@Criffler There is a very large contradicting list in the BIBLE that tells you the exact requirements to get into heaven, but if you do as this list says, you must remove some things from it, as they clash. How is it possible to give away, AND sell all of your posessions?
supersaupe 1 year ago
@supersaupe I can definitely see how things like that in the Bible seem to be contradictions. However, no where in the Bible does it say that you have to follow a list of rules to get into heaven. I am actually curious where you heard that. In the book of Romans, the apostle Paul talks about the whole purpose for the law/rules, is not so that we would follow them to get into heaven, but simply that we would know we can't possibly follow all the rules.
Criffler 10 months ago
@Criffler Paul was the first in a long line of apologists who just make shit up. Jesus says right there in your Bible that he came to uphold the Jewish law when directly asked about it; it's as clear and un-ambiguous as any text could possibly be. So Paul just ignores it and comes up with the "new covenant" idea which is basically "Christianity According to Paul: My Additions, Subtractions and Putting of Women into Their Place." He was basically the Joseph Smith of the 1st century.
VanDammesCokeDealer 2 weeks ago
@supersaupe He says that if you want to get into heaven by following the rules, you have to follow them perfectly. In other words, no one can do it. That is the whole point of Jesus, so that we would have a way of getting to heaven that doesn't require us to follow the rules, but instead is a free gift.
Criffler 10 months ago
@supersaupe The story in the bible where Jesus tells the man to sell all of his possessions, doesn't end with him selling all of his possessions and getting into heaven. It ends with him walking away sad because he knows that he can't do it. That was Jesus' point, that we can't do it by following the rules, but that we would know we need him.
Criffler 10 months ago
@azsuperman01 I'm not quite sure how much of the bible you've read or understood, but your explanation of Christianity's claims are very flawed. Firstly, God doesn't just forgive you without punishing your sins. God is a perfectly just God and so He can't simply let you go free without your crimes being punished. That is why we have Jesus. He didn't just sacrifice himself to himself for fun. It was so that our crimes could be punished and He could be perfectly just. Jesus took our punishment.
Criffler 1 year ago
wrong buddy and im sorry u have been mis informed, salvation and having eternal life with the father is knowing the father- not being in a religion or coining yourself as a christian. because our theology says not all who know of jesus christ will make it to heaven, it is the ones who have a relationship with him. thats matt 7:21-23, or the parable of the ten virgins which is math 25:1-13
6996109 1 year ago
justice demands that the same crimes warrant the same punishment, regardless of who commits it? WRONG! that's your opinion again! and being forgiven doesn't give us a free pass to do whatever we want.

They show how God really feals about this. deuteronomy 18:10; 2kings 16:3; 23:10; 2Chronicles 28:3; 33:6; (Jeremiah 7:31) Ezekiel 16:21; 23:37
ladivadivala 1 year ago
@ladivadivala It doesn't matter if hell doesn't exist. If he denies a reward to someone simply for being skeptical in the face of tons of evidence, and rewards it to a murderous child rapist who accepted Jesus and was sincerely sorry about raping children, he is not just.
RockBanned 1 year ago
@RockBanned what your are saying is that a person can't change. And that is not true at all. People can sincerely change. And that rapist murderer can change, but if that rapist murder is faking a change, God will know. Your are denying that Everything that exists was brought into existance by someone. How could that happen? Not one scientists with all their vast knowledge can ever answer that question for you. They go from the point of "After" it all began.
ladivadivala 1 year ago
@ladivadivala My point is that under Christian doctrine, a murdering child rapist who "changes" and becomes a good person through Jesus is seen as more worthy than a person who could have cured cancer, fed the sick, etc but just wasn't Christian. Sorry, that is not just, regardless of whether the child rapist became Mother Teresa afterwards. To say that the only redeeming quality a person can have is credulity is a bad system.
RockBanned 1 year ago
@RockBanned I understand your point completely. And "Christian" Doctrine is not valid when it comes from the very same people who will kill other people in the name of their "Religion". Jesus told his followers to pursue Peace; And Paul also told Christians not to kill. However So Called "Christians" have no problem going to war and killing because they think God is on their side. It is not up to "Man" to determine who is better or worse; It is up to God. We can't Judge each other.
ladivadivala 1 year ago
@ladivadivala You completely missed my point. It is simply this: To say that it is just for a person to cure cancer, be a perfectly moral person, etc but still go to hell (or be denied heaven) simply for being an atheist and have a child rapist who sincerely accepts Jesus and "changes" not go to hell is simply wrong, i'm sorry. I can judge that. If you say I can't judge what is just or not in the eyes of God, then neither can you and you cannot assert you know his will or opinion.

Phage0070 1 year ago
you said that God is required to punish evil doers, It isnt written no where in scriptures that God is required to do anything. That was kinda dumb to say that because if God did exist and was the creator of all things then there would be nothing greater then him to hold him to anything or require from him. You Generalize also and that makes you wrong.
CrayLuv 1 year ago
Where do you get your info from O0? This whole place is of Jesus/Judgment. He knows your heart inside and out, and he will know/Judge you for your sins, you can't just say his name with no accounting for what you did, this is a judgment. If you have a good heart but sinned, then you get ever lasting life I believe. He already knows who you are if youe evil or not, and if you look, people who died got to see there sins, and if they were good and not done on earth, placed back in life to live betr
EZSEEK 1 year ago
@EZSEEK It's not about having a good heart. We all have wicked hearts that is why we need a savior. Whether we are on our death bed or have 75 years left of life it comes down to repentance. Repent so that our relationship with God is restored. Look at the "good" people in Matthew 7:21-23. The relationship we have with God here on earth will continue after we die. So the question is, are we pursuing and getting to know Jesus with all our heart, soul and mind? Keep your comments coming, much love
kleinboogiephoto 1 year ago
Dear wicked heart, no J/K. Some of us don't have a wicked heart, just sin, so I would have to say your wrong there, but I will take the love and see what I can find in the other.. There is wicked a foot, but some don't care for it, they simply just fall short with sin..
It's EZ when you walk with Jesus..
EZSEEK 1 year ago
Don't read in to things brother/sister.. We all must give up those sins. Why such a angry heart, that is not of Love, and if it is not of love, you are not walking with Jesus it says right in the Bible. What did I do to you?. I am passing on my heart to others..
EZSEEK 1 year ago
When you become a christian you accept jesus as your savior. What he did on the cross ERASES your sin, hes already paid for it. the guys list on the left side of the "T" graph should be empty. then it would be correct and maybe then it would make more sense to you. Not membership....erasal!

one of many bits of pusedo logic: logic should be devoid of assumptions or in the case that it cannot be it should consider all assumptions not one. you assume that the "true crime" is not being Christian ok fine now define Christian because of the numerous factions they can't all be right can they? not if they claim there is one way and then don't agree with each other. but if you assume the "true crime" is disobedence against God now we have a whole new argument.

does this work in court? if i stand before the judge and say judge "i think you are awsome and always have, i accept you into my heart. will you forgive my transgressions without punishment?"
hmmm, what would a just judge do? (imagine i have killed someone and the family is awaiting the sentencing)
robertwc82 2 years ago
@robertwc82 It's different than that. It's like standing before the judge, he finds you guilty of all crimes and gives you the death sentence. But the judge's son says I'll serve the death sentence so you don't have to. All sin, no mater how small, deserves death. Sin is disconnect with God and in order to get back into a right relationship with perfect God death has to happen. 2000 years ago people had to sacrifice something. Today, trust in Jesus gets us back into that right relationship.
kleinboogiephoto 1 year ago

@kleinboogiephoto so, if i killed your family and the judge punished his son in my place, you would be satisfied justice was served, as long as someone is punished its ok that their murderer walks free?

robertwc82 1 year ago
@robertwc82 I think we are talking about two different things here. Mans judgment here on earth and the eternal judgment by God. When we are speaking in analogies its good to clarify what exactly we are talking about otherwise it gets into a game of semantics. I apologize for not being clear. Agreed, it was very stupid of me.
kleinboogiephoto 1 year ago
@robertwc82 If a man murders someone they need to be punished for it. It doesnt matter if they claim God or not. The point I was trying to make is if we are in Gods court where he judges all things done while alive then we would have no choice but to say we are guilty of breaking his law. The only way to be right before Him is to have lived a perfect life (impossible) or have someone else pay the price for our crimes.
kleinboogiephoto 1 year ago

Help me see a good world without God.
kleinboogiephoto 1 year ago
@kleinboogiephoto well 1st of all there are very simple explanations for what reality IS and how it emerges and how societies legislate it (give you a hint for that last one, its called law) but i suspect you wouldnt understand any way. so instead of bothering to try to enlighten you, i will ask you the question WITH GOD, how do we come up with ethical and moral law?!
ill tell you its based on whats best for the RULING CLASS of society or majority rules!
no god, no 911 perhaps? moron!
robertwc82 1 year ago
I've just watched three of your vids. Again, this video is very good. Thank you. However, you need to stop generalizing this theology of salvation by faith alone to every christian. Catholics, who represents the first and largest christian church on the planet believe in no such thing. Anglicans don't either I think (at least C.S. Lewis didn't). If God was the God described by fundamentalist christians, I probably would be an atheist like you. God bless you and shine on you his light.
christianunity 2 years ago
Why are there so many different gods? In one faith there are still hundreds of sub-gods created by each denomination. You can't choose which one you agree with and expect to get to heaven. God can make his story clear for everyone to understand or he can fuck off.
666moshpit666 2 years ago
Yes, well when you see it like that God can f-off. Like I said (between the lines), catholics don't think you have to believe in God to go to heaven. People need to "believe" in Love and they will go to heaven. And since God is Love, it's like saying the same thing. I hope this is a nicer way of seeing it for you. Atheists who love, then die and discover God and love Him (without knowing it, they loved Him all their life) will surely go to heaven. Jesus gave one commandment: LOVE! Simple, yet...
christianunity 2 years ago
And Jesus (God incarnate) was very clear for that part of the story (love), I find. But you are right in saying that today's world can be confusing...
Anyway, just for fun, look up Saint Padre Pio on youtube or the net.

666moshpit666 2 years ago
Well He didn't quite put it that way. He said He came not to abolish the law put to perfect it. This means modifying. He perfected it by giving us the key to interpreting this law: Love. With Love as the key, you will not stone an adulterer or a homosexual anymore. Jesus also said that the law was harsh because the people were harsh and stubborn. Now however, with Love as key and the Church to guide us, we should know which parts of the law are too harsh and which still apply. Love, love, love!

That's not an example of the 'only' choice. You could still choose to eat the bananas, or neither the chips nor the bananas. That you'll die for it - and so you wouldn't want to choose them - is not the same as being unable to choose them at all.
ScepticalAgnostic 2 years ago
I guess you didn't quite understand the analogy. Let me elucidate. God offers you the following choice: worship me or not. Worship me and be rewarded. Don't worship me and be condemned to hell for eternity. No third option of not doing either. So revisiting the analogy, I offer you the choice of bananas or chips. You HAVE to choose one or the other...not choosing one means the same result. Eat the bananas and live, choose the chips and boom...try to say you'd like lasagna means not choosing...
Godshoulddie 2 years ago 4
...the bananas and so boom. Get it now? No third choice with god either...he/she/it doesn't allow the third option...either worship, or don't, but trying to sit on the fence is the same as not worshipping to god.

Justice has everything to do with it; saying sorry is not enough to earn you salvation for faith is measured by your heart and deeds.
coffecup111 2 years ago
You see this is where you are wrong in your "interpretations"...Even you are a Christian, you will be judged according to your heart and deeds (actions). And those who are not Christians will be judged according to their hearts and deeds for "faith" without deeds is dead.

I answered the who created God question already..

And God said "I am the Alpha and Omega", he is the beginning and the end and time is in His hands.
steffanielyn 2 years ago
"then who created the monkey?"
Evolution doesn't say anything was created. The "monkeys" came from a previous species and so on.
"who created the asteroid? "
Everything was hydrogen initially. Through nuclear fusion, heavier elements were formed. Asteroids are those heavy elements that coalesced.
Moussyed 2 years ago
I am not saying that the evolution theory claims that there is a creator, in fact it denies that. Read what I am saying clearly and try to analyze what I am saying.
So you're saying that it is hydrogen, where does the hydrogen came from?
If you have an open mind and then you will accept the fact that something created the most primary elements.
steffanielyn 2 years ago
"where does the hydrogen came from?"

If I am satisfied with the answer, if it is not sarcastic or in a form of debate but rather in a form of explanation then I shall shut up.
steffanielyn 2 years ago
"Then, explain to me these things"
I'll try my best
1."Isn't these what you guys are always standing on? That our faith is unexplainable so you refuse to believe in God?"
Who'se "you" guys?
Anyway, to answer your question, people become atheists, agnostics etc for various reasons. The fact that religion requires faith instead of evidence is one big one but not the only one. And your religion isn't the only one.
Moussyed 2 years ago
"Whose "you" guys?"
Generally people who doesn't want to believe.
And what is the reason that you are atheist?
I think it would be best if you message me on my youtube account. I think it best to talk personally than in publice like this..
steffanielyn 2 years ago
"Generally people who doesn't want to believe" You either choose to believe or you dont.Belief is not a default position steffanielyn.
Why am i an atheist?
I was raised as a christian. I never really thought about my religion, i just took it as a given. Then.. i actually read the Bible and my faith effectively disappeared over the course of.....about 2 years( i didn't lose my faith right after reading the bible.....it was a long process which involved reading a lot of material.)
Moussyed 2 years ago
why did you lose faith because of hypochristians that surrounds you? Because you don't see anyone function as they say they do? I have been there, I've been an atheist, pagan, wicca, name it.
But at the end I still can't deny that there is God. I will not hate God because of the hateful people that surrounds me.
My relationship with God is between him and me, and I don't need a church to function as a medium to God. Not because I am a Christian that I religious, I hate religion.
steffanielyn 2 years ago
"why did you lose faith because of hypochristians that surrounds you?"
Nope, as i said, i read the Bible...then deconverted.
Everything else you say in your comment rests on the initial assumption you made about me....so i'll just leave with you question.

see that is the thing, it's only God who said "I am the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end".
He hold time in His hands. No other gods have ever documented anything like that, neither scientists can.

When did a desitic God ever say that?

You missed the criteria of TRULY REPENTING for those horrible murders on you deathbed. Christians have to be TRULY sorry for every sin they have committed, for the rest of their lives. Going to church has nothing to do with salvation! Jesus was extremely clear on this. Don't be an ignorant arrogant.
