The Arjun didn't "win" any competition. After failure after failure, the T-90 was still chosen as a superior tank.

The contract for 125 tanks (note that there is ONLY 125) is for patriotic purposes.

If they fixed it, then they should've ordered more. But they didnt.

Ok, but since Bofors deal, no 155m artillery has been inducted for 20 years. All Indian defence blogs I read, are fuming over failure to buy new ones or upgrade existing ones. The US, Russia etc make good artillary, but you have to relise making artillary guns is not rocket science, cheaper to make own and importantly artillary tech is not rapidly evolving, unlike fighter jet tech. Guns designed and made in 1980, will be just as accurate as guns made and designed in 2000.

yes our artilery is from the 80s but most probely we will place orders early next year when ,enlos or archer ,or some same quality what we get will be the best in the world ,and as if now there are no plans to make our own artillery system we only make amunition for our artillery systems but the plan is to use pinaka missiles as they make a good replasement for artillery system ,even if we place order it will take at least five years for 300 artillery picess to be dilivered .........
