@LtWalker11 a tip, turn of shadows completely and go into your gamefiles and change the  graphical setting to 0. Should run it at about 30 fps as my schoolcomputer does.

This game has more of story driven content in it then you'll see in most other games. Especially by Blizzard. Blizzard sucks dick when it comes to story telling.  You'd figure that with all that money, they could get some writers, but no.

I'm much more of a story guy nowadays anyway. If you're like me, and you enjoy the story much more than pretty graphics... You'd like this game. Not to say that you wouldn't like pvp as well. There's my 500 character long assessment of this game.

@Goishen I agree Blizzard does suck on story. But in terms of combat, Blizzard has nailed it better than any MMO. PvP in SWTOR is down right clunky and extremely unbalanced. I really enjoy the story line for SWTOR. It was a slow start, but after level 10, things got serious and had me caring for my own character. In terms of graphics, I don't think you can compare the two together. Their art style are very different from each other.

@HamSupZhai I agree with you, but you can't really compare pvp to a game that has had YEARS to balance, to a game that only came out a few months ago. It always takes MMOs a while to get pvp just right. I say so far so good. I can't wait to see what they add later in the game. I'm hoping they add Yoda's race playable for Jedi Consulars. That would be awesome.

Well. it is more dynamic then wow, auto attacks dont exist. The stories are amazing. The choices you have are amazing. That makes Old republic unique, not the gameplay itself,but rather the way you progress.Also,can you jump LONG distances in a frontflip to strike people in WoW?Nope.

So...you slash with your lightsabers over and over barely denting their HP. I love the Jedi system in SWG back in the day. It was a mystery....everyone wanted to be a Jedi, but no on knew how. Once the secret was out, the Jedi was massively tough that needed a skill player just to hold their own against one as it should be! Note, becoming a Jedi wasn't easy, and it didn't require elists guilds taking down a major boss or whatever. Anyone had an equal chance.

@coilly Trust me, it's the same game. Actually, it has a lot less content than WoW. I played a Jedi to lvl 50. The questing part is way more tedious and monotonous than WoW. You keep repeating the same stuff, just in different areas and with different mobs; "Kill 5 of these", "Now 15", good "Now 40". Some of the heroics are a total copy of Wow boss fights, it's ridiculous how close and similar they made them. Try it by all means, don't get your hopes up though.

The only reason WoW is the top MMO is because it's 7 years old. 7 years ago people wanted something new and WoW brought that, WoW was amazing in it's early years and it racked up millions of subscribers. As the years passed, more people subscribed and then eventually WoW lost it's flavor, but since it's racked up so many subscribers for 7 years it will always have more people playing it.

Its kinda like why alot of people compare games to CoD or Battlefield in the shooter department, or CoC or RTS. Its likely they have played the big brand, so its useful to compare. That said, they are widely divergent games, they just share the 'standard' MMO format, which WoW made famous.

Uh apparently you have not played SWTOR. Sure SWTOR shares the GENERAL concepts of an MMORPG such as the obvious questing, raids/groups, PvP, etc etc. But what makes SWTOR a completely different game is the way it functions and the way you play SWTOR. SWTOR has very dynamic gameplay and feels very different then the generic WoW gameplay.
