Good question. I expect this will differ per device. CB allows you to send several different types of messages. One can arrive exactly like an SMS, beep and store. Another can quietly be displayed on some defined part of the screen like a ticker. Another can be displayedd on the entire screen on the idle page. And the final one is on the index channel that provides a list of available channels, I think that is all the types.
Channel 50 was used to display the area code in the past in Europe (UK)
@was4166 Yep In the UK it still displays area codes and in other countries displays the name of the area....On this particular device in the video how does channel 50 messages appear?? is it like an SMS or fixed on the homescreen?? because i am thinking of getting an HTC but i want to know where the channel 50 CB messages appear as I would prefer if it was fixed on the homescreen...Thanks!
How does the broadcast appear once received....for channel 50 (Area) where will the area show up on the android (is it fixed on the home screen or displayed like an SMS?)
I used to be in the middle of the screen on older devices. I have not seen where it is on the Android devices yet. I expect in the notification bar.
