i love the banana splits theme song when i was 10 years old including the sour grapes bunch with the banana splits dance 42 years ago and still i love it now its great"
This is my all time favourite kids show, shown in the UK for the first time round about 1970 and ran for years as repeats on the good old BBC! I actually bought the dvd of this last year, but these titles are not the ones used. The ones here are from series 1, the ones on the dvd are from series 2. Not seen these ones for 30 years or so. So many nice memories of this show, though when you watch it now you think they must have been on drugs! Wonderful.
This legendary series was shown over here in the U.K. on BBC One, with these titles intact on both the opening and closing. I recently bought the Warner Home Video DVD box set, which unfortunately uses the "and Friends" titles and the shortened version of the theme song, so it's great to find this again.
Incidentally, the U.K. edition featured both The Arabian Knights and The Three Muskateers in each episode, and from my memory there was no sign of Danger Island.
AAAAHH the memories of long summer holidays come flooding back. Thanks for posting the full version of the opening titles. they are still great after all these years
Fleegle scared you? You gotta be kidding me. I like Fleegle and the rest of the Bananas. When I build my amusement park in Missoula, MT, don't come. Fleegle's is gonna be there!
I only remember seeing the short version of this song from the syndicated Banana Splits and Friends Show. Thank you for showing me the whole thing. :)
That kid at 0:11-0:15 was probably traumatised for life...

Totally Awesome! The Full original Intro. Best of all, the picture quality is really good... Especially for an old analog T.V. show intro.
This was my favorite one and probably the best of any their intros!
