Sk Mujib is the lion and Zia is the tiger. So there are no comparison between them.
Sk Mujib declared the independence on march 7th indirectly, and Zia Declared the independence on march 26th directly which is real starting point of the war. once again there are no comparison between these two "Great Heroes".
Dont judge Bangabandhu and Shahid Zia with their administration, judge them by their acts. Both of them are our heroes and there were more other heroes who are unsung like 4 national leader who freed the country by leading the entire war,Gen.Osmani, sector and forces commanders, all martyrs all people that supported 71.In today's eye we can't really understand what really they thought, but they were n't corrupt like present BAL or BNP.They were solid hearts. So respect them.yelling to them crime
@mazziist you are warped by the lies of the current awami govt. how ironic that the evidence seems to dance up and out for zias supposed ordnance of mujibs death - just when the awami league are in power. it is nothing but smear tactics. ziaur did no such thing. and even IF HE DID. it was a NATIONAL duty. see the STATE of mujeeb's reign during the end times - read up on history - not what the generic, draconian govt say.
Zia was the real Bangabhandu! If Sheikh Mujib were still alive today he wouldn't have done scratch.. he's a lapdog of India just like his daughter Hasina.. Zia on the other hand was a man of the people he CARED about Bangladesh.. not like those corrupt politicians of today..
he was the man to do it all for bd but its sad and bad luck for our ppl who still have to face these corrupt politicians and thier lies of digital bd and other shit they do nothing except fill their own pockets
I know Mujib and zia , both had flaws. But he was never that great ..he was impressive as a poilitical fugure. but he did things which really couldn' t be appreciated.
Look at the facts i have given and weigh it out.. before going on a full rant..
he might have been a great leader, but he wasn't all that he seemed. he wasn't very happy at the students and politicians who called for independent Bangladesh. a lot of his comrades who fought with him in the great war of liberation . actually mentions in their biography about him being annoyed on the students and politicians for starting the fight.. he even lost his way with Col. Abu Taher. It's also mentioned in one of his interviews that it was in 27th of march that he declared independence
@swakkhar17 he did'nt mentioned US govt help us, moron!!! listen carefully he told USA's people, like The Concert For Bangladesh was the event title for two benefit concerts organized and sang by George Harrison. The concert raised US$243,418.51 for Bangladesh relief. So we should be greatful to US people. and that's what zia said with his interview. do not comment like this. listen carefully and than comment.
The staement made by zia in this this video is a TOTAL LIE. He mentioned that USA helped Bangladesh during it's liberation war against pakistan. But he forgot to mention that USA SUPPORTED west pakistan during the liberation war and had sent a seven fleet at the bay of bengal. The USSR who retaliated against the USA's unlawfall support for west pakistan and the genocide in bangladesh during the war. In addition Zia did not fought the liberation war willingly but was put upon him. M A ALI

@swakkhar17.... he said american people, not american govt. American people indeed helped us in 1971. They arranged concerts to raise funds..... I think u have no idea about George Harrison's concert for Bangladesh!!!!! Listen carefuly, know the history and then comment!!!!

Major Zia BIr Bikram was great freedom figther who fought the war in the name Sheikh mujibur Rahman. But must say lost his spirit of the great war in getting involved in politics when he gave the Razakars oppurtunity to get back in power.and this has created this puzzle of solved problem.
Zia n mujib gave Dey r lyf to save Bangladesh from Pakistan. Buh now dey passed way buh mujib daugther changing zia. International airport into shah jalal airport . She sold Bangladesh to India. Zia's dead body were found in bay of bangla.zia's dead body didn't barried in his holy place majar dat
Just a question to all those who think they know the history (of Bangladesh's birth) well:
Why we don't hear much (I should have said any) of the sayings of the late president Mr. Sheikh Mujibur Rahman between the period from 07th March 1971 and 14th August 1975?
In case you have the answers, let me have another question:
How and what words were used by Mr. S. M. Rahman when he declared the independence of Bangladesh in 26th March 1971?
Zia was the real hero! The man who gave this country a sense of direction, when it like a rudderless ship. He will forever be remembered for the contributions he has made to nation building.
I have never had the opportunity to hear him speak before, I am very impressed with his articulation.
Zia - the one and only head of state who participated in war front against the Pakistan army and did not surrender, definitely deserves more credit than he is given. Zia succeeded in nation building unlike his predecessor. He could inspire people and guide them and proved himself above nepotism. It is unfortunate to see his sons void of his personal traits that helped in belittling ZIa's legacy. Zia's contribution is he gave us self confidence as a nation & help assert our Sovereignty
I had the opportunity to see him in person when I was a student at Rajshahi cadet college. No other leader of Bangladesh inspired me like he did. I sincerely believe if he were to be alive today, Bangladesh would be at least a middle income country.
WOW! The world should see how beautifully history of a country can be changed! The radio recording of 71 has been edited. Zia had said americans supported Bangladesh in the war. They didnt. They supported Pakistan. And this because of this basturd the rajakars are minister in bangladesh!
What ZIa said "The American people" so he is right. The US population stronlgy supported our independece war . It was the Nixon government that supported Pakistan not the American people.
Where does RAW figure when the whole revolt began because of the non recognition of the victorious Awami League by the Pakistan Govt because it was headed by Mujibur Rehman...!!
