he might have been a great leader, but he wasn't all that he seemed. he wasn't very happy at the students and politicians who called for independent Bangladesh. a lot of his comrades who fought with him in the great war of liberation . actually mentions in their biography about him being annoyed on the students and politicians for starting the fight.. he even lost his way with Col. Abu Taher. It's also mentioned in one of his interviews that it was in 27th of march that he declared independence

The staement made by zia in this this video is a TOTAL LIE. He mentioned that USA helped Bangladesh during it's liberation war against pakistan. But he forgot to mention that USA SUPPORTED west pakistan during the liberation war and had sent a seven fleet at the bay of bengal. The USSR who retaliated against the USA's unlawfall support for west pakistan and the genocide in bangladesh during the war. Just a question to all those who think they know the history (of Bangladesh's birth) well:

Why we don't hear much (I should have said any) of the sayings of the late president Mr. Sheikh Mujibur Rahman between the period from 07th March 1971 and 14th August 1975?

In case you have the answers, let me have another question:

How and what words were used by Mr. S. M. Rahman when he declared the independence of Bangladesh in 26th March 1971?

How come an unknown major got involved in this?

Zia was the real hero! The man who gave this country a sense of direction, when it like a rudderless ship. He will forever be remembered for the contributions he has made to nation building.

I have never had the opportunity to hear him speak before, I am very impressed with his articulation.

Zia - the one and only head of state who participated in war front against the Pakistan army and did not surrender, definitely deserves more credit than he is given. Zia succeeded in nation building unlike his predecessor. He could inspire people and guide them and proved himself above nepotism.
