Mac book pro Vs alienware m14x

I got alienware the m11x when it first came out...biggest mistake of my life caused me a shitload of problems...overheating....cras­hes and whatnot....so im getting a macbookpro....then alienware aurora....mainly because I make music nd movies

Get the alienware, i use both mac and windows, mac is WAAAAY harder to use, but is very good for working on it, the alienware m14x will run minecraft over 100-150 FPS

Hey you seem to know what you're talking about. I am mac guy looking to upgrade, but sick of the Macbook pro that has not changed for so long. I know that there are rumors about a new redesign this year, but who knows if thats gonna be anytime soon. I am looking into getting an Alienware 17x, but not sure how to prevent viruses! Since I have never had one using macs all my life. My 12" Powerbook G4 just died on me and it was amazing after having it for 6 long years. Never even had to reboot it!

I just bought an m14x for school and gaming, I admit that it is fucking heavy for a labtop but I love it because it gets a lot of attention and I can play every game I own on it, the battery life is also a lot better than I expected, I get around 3-4 hours per.charge.

2 different types of laptops that fulfill different purposes. I have both an I must say forge tech support for Alienware is simply abysmal, it's a lot better than hp's and asus's though, since alien ware's tech support actually "try's to fix the issue, unlike the other 2. Alienware and Mac are great computers nonetheless.

I use mine for gaming, business. She uses her's for photo and video editing. Her's definitely excels in that area.

ok, here are the things i really care about from a computer. fast download speeds affordability ( gonna buy the alienware m14x OR macbook pro 13 inch) ablility to play minecraft on max settings w/ no lag disc drive usability (easier to use/n00b friendly) outstanding wifi reception (IMPORTANT!!!) durability long lasting-ness fast upload speeds (to utube) fast video streaming speed better gaming will i be used to alienware or mac (i live off a windows vista, but have used a mac alot) help me!

@SuperBigballsoffire @SuperBigballsoffire To be completely honest, take some time and shop around first. If you can, go to an apple store and play around with one of the desplay models. If you live next to a Fry's electronics, go in and play with an m14x or a m17x. I also recammend ASUS's line of laptop's. Great gaming machine's if your on a budget. I wish you the best of luck on what ever you decide! Btw Download speeds depend on the wireless card and the network, not the laptop itself!

@TheTester98 if your editing cat graph's and doing graphics desighn i'd say go with the alienware, better driver's and more porformance. But if your doing movie editing and music recording, i'd go with the Mac book pro. Even though i hate Mac's, i have to say there app's make video and music editing alot easier. But if your good with a PC and you have the time i'd check out DELL's XPS line. Thats honestly a better comparison then alienware m14x vs a Mac book pro.
