  • This sketch was brilliant....OR WAS IT??? ;)

  • Now look what you've done, you pointless tart! You've broken the snotting bannister!

  • entirely plausible..

  • i was about to go to bed as well...

  • A perilous Yo-Yo.

  • When's the funny spot?

  • Stephen Fry is a prophet!

  • "Happy birthday you saggy old bitch"

    Awesome! ahaha

  • Good Night if you can ;)

  • The problem with this sketch is that you get distracted by the images and so don't hear everything Fry is saying. I originally missed most of what he said between 3:20 and 3:32...

"But when your life is a perilous yo-yo eaten by destiny's right hand; when fate lights the cigarette; when chance plays the trumpet not very well, and hazard deals the cards from the bottom of your aunt..."

  • the SCARY DOOR!

  • The introduction is so wonderfully senseless but his voice makes anything a joy to listen to.

  • Goodnight, if you can.. MUAHAHAHA xDDDDDD

  • That was amazing! Why can't sketch comedy shows be this good any more?

  • Is he supposed to look like TERRY WOGAN ?

  • 4:02 ! no one, NO ONE!, can say "saggy old bitch" like Hugh Laurie!

Maybe excpet for Stephen Fry xD

  • I would like to have tracks like the one that starts at 01:22 ... Do anyone know where I could get them?

  • The end was AWESOME lol. Love Stephen, soooo much

  • "Rhino bollocks!" =D

I think this is one of the best sketches from their last season.

  • lol

  • Hilarious! XD

  • "discoverings of a flower storings just at the right momentings" - does anyone watch fonejacker? The Indian call center?

    6:52 Bloody Gorgeous.

  • Goodnight . . . if u can. Brilliant

  • if only stephen tells me a bedtime story everynight...

    - harry potter audio tapes ;)

  • @callpolice999 His sultry voice weaving a tale through your sleepy ears, a mug of hot chocolate-style beverage... oooohhh.

He could even read you some of his own books!

  • @callpolice999

    buy an audio-book...

  • @callpolice999

I'd go to bed a happy person.

  • Rhino Bullocks!

  • Funniest one I've ever seen. "And wantings to buy flowerings" hahaha, I'm crying of laughter

  • between sense and shite! LOL!

  • Happy birthday you saggy old bitch !

  • "Good night... if you can." LMAO, I have to find someone to say that to.

  • "Now look what you've done, you pointless tart, you've broken the snotting banister"

I love the language they use in this sketch, and Stephen's work as a narrator is hilarious. Never get tired of this... Hugh plays mad brilliant.

  • Goodnight, if you can.

  • Aw man, GENIUS! Lol. "Happy birthday, you saggy old bitch."

  • Does it say something about me that at 1:01 when he says "That we call" I was expecting him to say "general ignorance"? XD

By the way, his "The letter" sketch was awesome too!

  • This is just extraordinary brilliant genius! This is one of their best... which it had last longer...

  • 'Arse-clap!'

    Wonderful.

  • Brilliant!

  • Anyone know the name of the music at the beginning? It seems familiar though I can't quite place it.

  • oooh, love the blue eyes

  • why thank you!

  • I can't find the The Red Hat of Patferrick. I would love to see it again. It contains one of the funniest lines in all comedy. Fry/Gutfright says: "I must add a warning. The BBC do not advise that you watch the unfolding of this dark tale if you are in any way of an erotic disposition." That is SO Stephen Fry!

  • its back up. just type it in. i just watched it (pure genius):)

  • BRILLIANT! I love the way they use words ^^

  • Where is the red hat sketch? I need to see this sketch badly

  • "Andrew Beckett" was actually the name of Tom Hanks in "Philadelphia", which came out in the same year as this sketch!

  • Stephen is the master of words:P

  • "Between sense and shite!

    GENIUS.

  • "And hazard deals the cards from the bottom of your aunt!"

    Wonderful.

  • Happy birthday, you saggy old bitch.

  • "Good night, if you can." Hah!

  • "Now look what you've done, you pointless tart - you've broken the snotting bannisters."

  • Stephen is brilliant! Totallt kills in this sketch.

  • One of my absolute favourite Fry and Laurie sketches. Marvellous. Just marvellous.

  • "Wantings to buy flowerings"...

Their humour is really evocative of... Douglas Adams perhaps? Something like that.

  • Stephen was a close friend of Douglas Adams. You can see Adams' influence in lots Fry and Laurie's writing, as well as in parts of Stephen's novels.

  • Wow... I was spot on and I didn't even know it. I must be a literary genius.

Seriously though mentioning Douglas Adams makes me sad. It's a shame he's dead. Right in the middle of writing a novel, too.

  • o.O

I never noticed how pretty Stephen's eyes are...*cough*

  • I KNOW.

  • Same! I was just going to say the same thing! I thought they were brown for the longest time, but they are a very pretty sort of blue-green, aren't they?

  • ooooo beautiful

*goes back to watch it again*

  • "and wantings to buy flowerings"

  • "And when they've done that for a bit..."

  • This beginning is so "The Letter". I love it!

  • haha yes... i love that sketch--too funny

  • Awesome show, thank you.

  • i love hearing stephen talk! and i like seeing caroline. this was a great one :)

    thanks SorteOrm
