Swedish is kinda hard to learn. You recognize that when you speak swedish and lear other langueges. Danish and norwegian is more like english then Swedish are. :D

I don't understand Swedish at all, but I know that Swedish people who can speak English do understand me when I speak Dutch.

"Kan vi gå nu" -> kan+nu = Dutch, kan+vi+gå = English... many similarities with both Dutch & English. Swedes usually understand only little of spoken Dutch, but much more in written form.

And yes, if you speak a Germanic language (like me, Dutch) or English, it's by far not the hardest language to learn. And one of the nicest in my opinion! =)

Oh, and when you speak english in the present tense you are supposed to say "I suppose".
