@clutchinginthemoment well of course your supra makes more power at less boost u have a 2.5 or 2.6 litter which spools up a bigger turbo easier and makes more power easier but your car also weighs about 800 pounds more then me which means u need about 580 to beat me and i made 500hp on 26psi at 7700rpm i had 470hp before.

@darksniper1982 I personally do not have anything against Supra's or DSM's however I would like to say this the fastest 1st gen is John Shepherd's that runs 7.7s on nos the 7.95 is a non nos run. Also the talon is running a 2.0L single turbo motor stock while the supra runs a 3.0L twin turbo motor. There two different machines that each have their own strengths, for instance a supra may win in a drag while a tsi may win in a circuit, one video will not tell you which is fastest

The 1g TSI's weigh 2549lbs, and the 2g (1995-1999) are 2789lbs way to not know the car that you "claim" to own (that info is right from Mitsubishi's site). And the Talon TSI was NEVER called a GSX, the GSX is actually a Mitsubishi Eclipse which was a DSM but an entirely different car in itself. Yet another statement that proves you know jack shit about cars. The Talon TSI was always called just a Talon TSI.

@dylanzor There are plenty of street legal 6-7 second car's. Not all states have Emission's, PA in particular you are not even required to have a cat converter, the cops can get you for having a loud exhaust but nothing more. I'll PM you the link to the 6 second 2JZ-GTE (6.469, and its a Toyota Celica, but seeing as how Celica's and Supra's used to be the same car, its pretty much the same thing, even the engine drops right in the Celica no problem).

One individual in The Pocono's owns 6 different Skyline's (Skyline's are banned in any state that has emission's due to not being able to meet the requirements), I forget how many of each he owns I do not know him personally, but he has at least 1 R32, R33 and R34. He also races them at the Pocono racetrack, the only ticket you can get in PA for no cat converter, is a noise violation but even that is a winnable case most times.
@dylanzor because in order to add weight to the car Brent Rau added concrete to the block which is not streetable (he says so right on his site if you'd do a little research and look for yourself). The DoT consider it a safety hazard in case an accident occurs the concrete could basically become a shrapnel disaster waiting to happen. Hence why it could never be street legal, it also doesn't have a full interior, lacks turn signals, Gas's Celica has a full interior besides door panels.

The very first Supra was called Toyota Celica Supra. Then eventually split ways but they look alike and even the Celica engine (the 2ZZ-GE) has the same bolt pattern and mounts as the 2JZ-GTE. You can literally pull the 2ZZ-GE engine and drop a 2JZ-GTE in without any modification's.
@darksniper1982 no, you can't. not even close. the celica is (currently) a FWD with a horizontally opposed engine. the supra is a RWD vertically opposed. the mounts are completely different and a ton of fabrication is required. either way, they're still 2 completely different cars with completely different powertrains. you can't claim 2 cars are the same because they have the same ancestor. i can't wait for the backpedaling on this one.
@dylanzor think you need to look at Gas Motorsport's webpage on that one, it took them a total of 6 hours to transfer the 2JZ-GTE from a Supra to the Celica, that could not be done if extreme modifications needed to be done. Both car's are owned by Gas Motorsport's, And Titan Motorsport's has a video on here on them driving their mid 7 second Supra on the streets, to go get some lunch. Video is called "Titan Motorsports race supra on the streets!" without the " marks. You'll see the license plate on the back underneath the Parachute. And they have done a 7.66 @ 188 run last year on a street driven car.

i have owned both cars and all i can say is, the dsm will rock supra off the line everytime, but if this was a race for your life id rather b in the supra all it has is top end! both ride's under the right supervision and driver are untouchable.

It's built and forged internals. T-70 Garret dual bb and all the goodies to run it at 25 psi. all in all i spent about $10 grand. I will race ANY car you think can beat me.

@darksniper1982 I personally do not have anything against Supra's or DSM's however I would like to say this the fastest 1st gen is John Shepherd's that runs 7.7s on nos the 7.95 is a non nos run. Also the talon is running a 2.0L single turbo motor stock while the supra runs a 3.0L twin turbo motor. There two different machines that each have their own strengths, for instance a supra may win in a drag while a tsi may win in a circuit, one video will not tell you which is fastest

Guy in the Supra can't drive worth a shit seriously... Listen to the video he hit the rev limiter from 1st to 2nd, and from 2nd to 3rd. He did it not once but TWICE! And he was granny shifting like a mofo. Put a real driver in that car and watch it walk that DSM all day long. Or better yet put that Talon against my Supra and I'd leave him at the starting line crying.

@mikescharger6983 yah I don't have the 98 Supra that is in my uploads... just stfu kid. He raced a STOCK Supra with a modded TSI.... Doesn't say much consdering a stock TSI is 210hp a Supra is 325 and the TSI was obviously modded and it weighs 2500lbs vs the Supra 3400lbs (close to 3500 with the Targa Top) so a car with probably the same amount of hp, and that weights 1000lbs less beating the Supra isn't that impressive. Plus the TSI is AWD and will have less wheel spin. so stfu you're a moron

The 1g TSI's weigh 2549lbs, and the 2g (1995-1999) are 2789lbs way to not know the car that you "claim" to own (that info is right from Mitsubishi's site). And the Talon TSI was NEVER called a GSX, the GSX is actually a Mitsubishi Eclipse which was a DSM but an entirely different car in itself. Yet another statement that proves you know jack shit about cars. The Talon TSI was always called just a Talon TSI.

The world's fastest DSM is a 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse (converted to RWD) that ran a 6.9 1/4 mile. Full Drag Car, that's sad.

@dylanzor There are plenty of street legal 6-7 second car's. Not all states have Emission's, PA in particular you are not even required to have a cat converter, the cops can get you for having a loud exhaust but nothing more. I'll PM you the link to the 6 second 2JZ-GTE (6.469, and its a Toyota Celica, but seeing as how Celica's and Supra's used to be the same car, its pretty much the same thing, even the engine drops right in the Celica no problem).

@darksniper1982 be that as it may, they don't run 7s on DOT approved tires. additionally, it may not have to pass emissions but it will technically fail visual inspection - emissions equipment is missing. it is federally illegal to tamper with emissions equipment - including the cats. they may be street drivable but they are 100% not street legal. i'm aware of the celica, you specified supra. rau's eclipse is just as legal and streetable as the titan supra.

@dylanzor eh? Rau's eclipse is barely able to be in the NHRA, they made him use a smaller turbo, and put more weight on the car, let alone be street legal. And in states that do not have emission's it is not illegal to remove emission's equipment (I am a lawyer I know this) there is no federal law requiring a cat converter in states that do not require emission's. I have actually went to court to defend people on such cases and won. Don't believe everything you read on the net.

@darksniper1982 what does meeting nhra's new rules have to do with being street legal or streetable? you're doing an awful lot of backpedaling. i question that you're a lawyer if you're not even familiar with the EPA mandating against emissions equipment tampering and vehicle modification, which is federal law. not only does federal law mandate that you can't tamper with emissions equipment, it also mandates that your car meets certain emissions requirements even if your state doesn't require it

@dylanzor yes that's what most people say but yet there is no such law. As I have said I have defended and WON quite a few such cases. You are thinking of a STATE law. States that have Emission's (even if smaller counties in the state do not) have visual inspections and require such equipment on a vehicle even if emission's do not apply to that county. But in a state where emission's is not required in the entire state, there is no such law.

States have more power than the Federal gov't does, a State can overturn law's as long as it doesn't infringe on any civilian's rights. One individual in The Pocono's owns 6 different Skyline's (Skyline's are banned in any state that has emission's due to not being able to meet the requirements), I forget how many of each he owns I do not know him personally, but he has at least 1 R32, R33 and R34. He also races them at the Pocono racetrack, the only ticket you can get in PA for no cat converter, is a noise violation but even that is a winnable case most times.

@dylanzor because in order to add weight to the car Brent Rau added concrete to the block which is not streetable (he says so right on his site if you'd do a little research and look for yourself). The DoT consider it a safety hazard in case an accident occurs the concrete could basically become a shrapnel disaster waiting to happen. Hence why it could never be street legal, it also doesn't have a full interior, lacks turn signals, Gas's Celica has a full interior besides door panels.

@dylanzor oh and fyi to quote a last post of your's that I missed. "i'm aware of the celica, you specified supra" Supra and Celica are the same car's. The very first Supra was called Toyota Celica Supra. Then eventually split ways but they look alike and even the Celica engine (the 2ZZ-GE) has the same bolt pattern and mounts as the 2JZ-GTE. You can literally pull the 2ZZ-GE engine and drop a 2JZ-GTE in without any modification's.

@darksniper1982 no, you can't. not even close. the celica is (currently) a FWD with a horizontally opposed engine. the supra is a RWD vertically opposed. the mounts are completely different and a ton of fabrication is required. either way, they're still 2 completely different cars with completely different powertrains. you can't claim 2 cars are the same because they have the same ancestor. i can't wait for the backpedaling on this one.

@dylanzor think you need to look at Gas Motorsport's webpage on that one, it took them a total of 6 hours to transfer the 2JZ-GTE from a Supra to the Celica, that could not be done if extreme modifications needed to be done. And since you know so much about Lawyer's you'd know that there is a database of bar #'s that can be accessed by the public. Quit being Lazy and look it up yourself. Both car's are owned by Gas Motorsport's, And Titan Motorsport's has a video on here on them driving their mid 7 second Supra on the streets, to go get some lunch. Video is called "Titan Motorsports race supra on the streets!" without the " marks. You'll see the license plate on the back underneath the Parachute. And they have done a 7.66 @ 188 run last year on a street driven car.

My bro has his dsm sitting in the back rdy to get worked on, after a year of nothing but dust piling up. He is buying a whole bunch of shit for it but if its as fast as this dam he will stomp all over my car. Im doing a sr20det(black top @220hp) with a gt35r turbo and maybe fully build the engine for the engine to last. So hoping for a good tune.... (all the work we do, except maybe ima have to get someone to do my wiring for the sr.)

haha,kid with the supra must not know how to drive!! buts some slicks on it and learn more about launch control and the race might go differently.actually probalby not thats definately a street dsm running some serious power.sick kill for the dsm,but driver skill on the supras part is a huge factor not to mention those tires,kid just needs to learn how to drive.but even then the awd dsm will still kill on the streets.fuck i love dsms man.

with awd on your side it kinda helps an i guess youd need more skill with a high powered rwd ...maybe with sum drag radials would have been a better race (street ets)

Sweet, an awd with a turbo upgrade beats a rwd... big whoop. A 500whp supra is not even anything special lol. Anything more than a 1/4 mile and the weak supra will smash. And yes, I can talk because I've owned 2 awd and 1 fwd dsm's....

i have owned both cars and all i can say is, the dsm will rock supra off the line everytime, but if this was a race for your life id rather b in the supra all it has is top end! both ride's under the right supervision and driver are untouchable.
