I totally agree with the fee increase, personal trainers and with all their witchdoctor spin never tell you that they are running a business on property supplied and paid for by local ratepayers, they run a business with no overheads nor maintenance because they are using facilities supplied by the long suffering ratepayers. Thus when the grass is worn or damaged, guess who pays for it, thats right the ratepayers not the personal trainers, who pays for the toilets, roads etc, the ratepayer.
Great Story, fully supported... I see reason to register and pay a nominal fee as a Personal Trainer and think it is great that the raised fee will go back into the areas fitness stations. Personal Trainers are integral to the future of the Aussie Communites.... I hope I never see them dwindle x
May I add that the Fair go for Fitness Alliance - Mosman has given an undertaking to develop community fitness initiatives in partnership with Mosman council as a result of this issue being raised.
This will represent a concerted effort by personal trainers to give back to their community by way of their time and skills rather than by a tax which serves only to discourage and hinder Mosman residents getting fit and healthy.

I agree with gsladden...the prices for even a croissant seems to be through the roof and my decaf mocha is $4 in a small cup.Maybe the training fees could subsidise a few of the cafes ?
Make it a $70 a week fee and lower my coffee prices at Balmoral Beach! Seriously - $4.50 for a large Soy Latte with a half twist of lemon!! How can they be allowed to get away with it.
