She's not shit. She's not tone deaf. She just appears to be lacking the confidence to hit her notes louder and more powerfully. Other than this, I think she has a really great voice.

it's not something to be proud of, per se. other people wouldnt understand so it is unique, yes; however singlish makes it hard for singaporeans to be understood in other countries. in my opinion, singaporeans should at least have basic command of proper english ( without singlish ) so that they can still be understood outside of our country. among us singaporeans, singlish is best(:

Our national language is Malayu (Which lota of the younger generation do not know about this and that's explain why our national athem is in Malayu) Our first language is English and our Secondary Language is Mandarin/Malay/indian...etc. But most of the time, we speak Singlish which is a combination of English with other languages spoken in the country. Singlish is an interesting language. It express our emotions with few simple tones and slangs. Singlish roxz!!!

Actually the language situation in Singapore is more complex than that. Not everyone speaks singlish. The older generation doesn't. And for the younger generation, half of them speaks singlish while the other half speaks singaporean chinese.
