High blood sugar means that your body is creating to much sugar and that you should cut back on it (My dad has that kind it's called Type 2) Low blood sugar is when your body isn't creating enough sugar and you have to check your sugar to make sure your not getting too low usually it helps if you eat like something sugary like a candy bar or something (That's type 1 that's what Nick has) Hope I helped a bit.

@johnnyamorrison a high is when your blood sugar goes super high and you have to take insulin to bring it back down to normal. a Low is when your really low and you have to eat a candy bar or something to bring it back up. you get type 1 when your body stops producing insulin (that's pretty much why in the song it say's you don't know what you've got until it's gone). and for type 2, you kinda bring it unpon yourself by eating too much sugar...hope that helps :)

I've felt that way before, but you know, Nick cares about all his fans, weather they have diabetes or not. And Diabetes is a really serious disease and if you had it you wouldn't like it at all. It runs in my family and I've grown up aroud people who've had to live with it everyday. I don't ever want to get diabetes and you really shouldn't either.

i have multiple friends with diabetes, and i actually have a friend with something [forgot the name of the disease] that's like the opposite of diabetes where her body uses up her sugar too fast. this is probably gonna sound weird, but nick has assured me that they are all gonna be fine. :]
