Sammy Hagar on Howard Stern said he would sing Roth's songs also back in the day, But David Lee Roth refuses to sing Hagar VH era songs, it's not an ego thing, he just isn't that talented. He also said Eddie treated Michael Anthony like a piece of shit.

The right thing to do would have been to have michael anthony play.  I could totally understand the need for Eddie to want his son to play..and he could have had

both michael anthony and Wolfgang. I am a huge Van Halen fan..but drugs,

alcohol,and riffs between the members have taken a toll on the group. No.

they still do not have it. What they have are a tremendous amount of old fans like myself that will attend a concert just to hear them. Eddie And David Lee Roth

are both a mess!

I'm going to get slammed for pointing this out, but has no one noticed at around 1:41 that Wolfgang's right hand is clearly playing straight even eighth notes while the bass line we're hearing is the Jamie's Crying "bomp (rest) bom-bomp (rest).... now, granted, the bass drum is help to accentuate that rhythm, but you can hear that tone of the bass guitar along with it. Interesting. I understand and even agree with using pre-recorded stuff but I thought Wolfie was supposed to be better? :)

They do not sound tight like they used to. Dave looks uncomfortable. It is cool to see father and son playing together. Their harmonies are ok though. . but they are not tight like I would expect.

You had to be AT a Van Halen show on their reunion tour to see and hear how GREAT they were. Keep in mind although this is a really good quality bootleg, that the camera mic isn't even an inch big. And for that much sound to be coming into such a small camera mic at the same time it's not going to sound like a perfect recording device.

The real problem is that David Lee Roth can't sing. It's not really Wolfie's fault. They wanted a younger feel to the band and not just another reunion of older dudes. But Dave can't do those awesome squeals or split kicks or hit those high notes anymore. Which is just plain sad because Sammy Hagar can still do that.
