i've seen ads for h1b visa for an office assistant, but work as bookkeeper, customer service. so are they really highly skilled? or is it just employer's way to replace american worker with cheap labor?

i now jealous of those h1b visa worker, u know they have housing, no rent, the pay is low but they don't spend much. they send money earn from the US back to their home country where the cost of living is LOW. while america can't even get a job that can pay rent and bills.

You notice now that unemployment is at record levels, the pro-visa crowd is quiet as a mouse. Their argument that these visas create jobs is a lie and they know it. Where are the jobs? Better yet.. why aren't we stopping the program during high unemployment.

Our county "Orange county" has nothing but Indians in their IT staff and they get paid 30-40 % more than a homeland staffer who is just as educated. These little fucks are sneaky bastards too. US wrk visa shuld be like that of Aus or Canada or UK where you are NOT tied to a particular emplyer. U can get a wrk visa n go wrk for any employer n demand prevailing wage instead of yor emplyer to whom you are bonded deciding what he wants to pay u, if at all he wants to pay. many many cases where employees dont get paid for mnths. Most h1b employers are indian immigrants who have no morals and ethics because they are either hindu or Muslim. Both cultures believe in exploitation n slavery.

Americans are training the H-1Bs that come in. If you come here on H-1B and you don't have the skills claimed, then you are committing FRAUD and that makes you illegal. There is no checking by the U.S. gov't - they just rubber-stamp the applications.

there is no illegal immigration as far as H1B visa is concerned and all the documents job offer and purchase order and education degrees are checked multiple time by US givt. and H1B Visa holders are paid at least 25 to 50 % more than americans because of multiple layers in hiring them. it is only indian companies which are paying them less. american companies are paying them 25-50 % more.

Bullsh*t ..... I worked with a lot of H1bs in tech software. The H1 BS employees would live with 4 or more people in a 2 bedroom apartment send the earnings to the family in India and where paid much less. Now the employers are just opening offices in India at least for software and only keeping Americans to be customer facing.

How do you expect Americans to pay their mortgages when their jobs have been taken away from them by Indians here on GUEST worker visas who won't hire Americans because of some 150-year old hatred of the British?
