It was easy for Anne to be carefree when she didn't have the responsiblities that Katherine did. Katherine was brought up in a more restricted manner than Anne was and Katherine had to be dignified at all times and not a girl. ug i hate king henry for doing that to his wifes. he didnt care about any of them. he only cared about having an heir. hes such a selfish pig! anne and cathrine were both good queens.
Have to rememeber though that Henry lived in a different age with different standards..
Not saying what he did was ok, just saying that he had alot of pressure on him for that male heir. Even in some of todays countries a family isnt cemented without a male heir..
But before hateing.. consider what was expected/needed.
Elizabeth did a great job as queen but that was not expected.
@princessariel2 You can't blame him for wanting an heir becouse if he died without an heir he had good reason to fear a civil war after his death so it wasn't selfish of him to want an heir, even if he in general probely was a verry selfish person. But that wouldn't be strange for a king who livd in that time.
actually the what the characters felt in the "The Other Boleyn Girl" were made since it is a historical fiction book. I love the song though for the video. Great job! But from the book I liked Anne more since she seemed to have more guts than marry.marry was too sweet for me.
Though his desires and selfishness did play a part in his divorces, for the most part Henry wanted a male heir so it was the succession that was the cause of his divorces.

I read the book "The Other Boleyn Girl", and it explains some of Anne's ambition . . . but still.
I believe Queen Katherine to be the role model of what it means to be faced with adversity and jealousy yet still be Christian.

But he didn't divorce the sixth one, Catherine Parr-he died before she did.
She was the only one that made it without being divorced, beheaded, or dying in childbirth.
