The Democratcs had two full years to do anything they wanted, they controlled all three parts of Govt. What did they do? Pushed and passed the takeover of 'healthcare". Why is it so hard for people to understand that the people you are calling "rich" are the business owners and that it's the business owners that HIRE people for jobs? Do you just refuse to get the fact that our regulations and taxes on business owners are ALREADY higher than almost every other nation and if you jam more taxes and regs on them they are going to move OUT of the country and take their JOBS with them? Is it just a party line thing or the Obama worship? What's not to get here?
@carolineislands People don't understand those things because they are not true. Taxing business profits doesn't keep businesses from hiring people because labor is tax deductible. There are several multi-billion dollar corporations that not only paid no taxes last year, but got money back from the government. American businesses have tons of capital they are not using because there isn't any sense in hiring people when demand for their products are low, not because of taxes.

The interviewer announced Mr. Cleaver as, well, Mr. Cleaver but when she had on another guy, she announced him as a "Right Wing Republican". This shows the reason why Obama/Dems are such huge failures but O still has decent Poll #'s. It's because if they spoke up about just 10% of his screw ups, he would be at 20% approval.
It should be pretty easy to deal with the deficit.
1. US troops should be brought back home from everywhere in the world. Whatever can be won has been won. Stop wasting money.
2. Restore tax levels back to Eisenhower or Nixon rates. The country was doing well enough in those times.
3. If Social Security or Medicare is used in 6th year of eligibility, reduce by usage in 1st year. Similarly reduce 7th year benefit by use in 2nd year, etc. for a sort of 5-year window of benefits.
