Love your version of this fine tune, Guy! It has power, life and energy in it! Seem to have missed your recording of it earlier! Have you heard mine? Uploaded one a few months ago based on Mike Iversen's banjo tabs.
wow! that's what I call a long flight! I was exhausted when I spent 3 hours on the plane to spain lol. You need to get some rest now! I hope you had a great time!
Great to see you play again. I enjoyed your playing as a HMS student, spoons&banjo and watching you make pots for May day with Mrs Karl. I did an apprenticeship with Todd Piker 00-02. Stopped by your place but never found you. I think your son? was there making pots one of the times. Please keep on with all of the videos, they are wonderful.
Hey Jaime , Great to hear from you .. How long were you down with Todd . Sorry I missed you . I am on my way up to work my week with Mrs Karl this month .. All the best , Guy
I was at Todds for 2 years. I have a woodfired kiln in Vermont and make pots when I can. Please say hi to Mrs Karl and maybe let me know when you will be at HMS. I would love to see Mrs Karl again. It has been 22 years.
My mom's family were in the clipper ship business and it was told that my great ggg grand uncle and his brother John and Jonathan Glover gave the first boat to the American navy called the Hanna . It was from my grandmother that I heard of the Marblehead fishermen saving Washington at Brooklyn. There must have been fishermen at Brooklyn as well but again it all makes for great stories . This tune is popular on the north shore above Boston hence the implication
