how to trade using GBA emulators

i have the 2 vba's opened and i got the save files ready they can save so i dont have that problem but at the 1 that does join group it says communication error, please check all connections, then turn the power OFF and ON. What do i need to do now?

@3terminatorgr I've answered this so many times that I'm sick of it. You need VBA-L 1.7.3 It's in the moemon starter kit. If you're using a save from no$GBA, you'll need to convert the save. Ask someone else how to do that, I don't deal with no$GBA.

@elyKyle95 I don't know, but I can take a guess. What version of VBA-L are you using? If you're using 1.8.0, get 1.7.3 (in the moemon starter kit). If you're using 1.7.3 and it still doesn't work, make sure that the link timeout is the same in both windows, then mess around with it (in increments of a 1000).

I CANT get it to work. Im trying it between ruby and sapphire. The pause thing is off so they both start talking to the trade lady at the same time, both settings are the same, both wireless are on, and both are at 2000, but it STILL isnt working.

im using the VBA v1.8.0 beta 0 vba version. i just dont know what to do.

if you could show a step by step way video i could just follow that but i hope theres just a quick fix i can do

@ticlou2789 Thanks to a birth defect I have 4 arms. Kidding. I'm using a gamepad. The d-pad and L1 and L2 buttons map to the left VBA and the 4 face buttons and R1 and R2 map to the right VBA. Start and Select map to left start and right start. It takes a bit of practice, but I've played about halfway to through pokemon red and blue (at the the same time) like this so I have plenty of practice.

@bclagnese get vba-over.ini, put it in the same folder as VBA.exe (it's in the moemon starter kit), and delete all of your save files including any save states. Start a new game, everything should be fine.

I don't know if this has been asked before, but I noticed in a previously watched video of yours (the 1.6.1 release), in the description it says trade evolutions are still trade evolutions (with a couple exceptions), but I just traded my Graveler over to my secondary file, and it's still a Graveler. Is that one that you changed at all, or did I screw up?

@laxbrobaird Not for nothing, but the moemon starter kit contains 1.7 rather than 1.8. I've never gotten trading to work on 1.8, only on 1.7, but I haven't ever bothered with the server. I'm that you've got it to work though enjoy moemon, or pokemon if you're not using my hack.
