  • wow this amazing!

  • this what music should be these days!!!

  • WICKED

  • John frusciante on vocals !

  • the mandolin player is Chris Thile, of course. (which is why this band is over. he's moved on).

  • So jazzy, so loungy.. must take notes.

  • That bassline sounds very similar to the piano at the end of NIN's Closer. Also, the whole group looks tacky except the mandolin player. /opinion

  • @TheAmazingBrand0 They look like mormons in a way lol.

  • @TheAmazingBrand0 What do you mean "tacky"? They look about as normal as anything. And I don't see where the NIN comparison is relevant to anything at all. Are you suggesting that talented musicians are out to subtly rip off Nine Inch Nails while playing Radiohead covers? Are you suggesting that NIN discovered that sequence of notes all by themselves? "Opinions" can be woefully uninformed, bro.

  • @agoodmanydeadfolk The bassline comment was an OBSERVATION from a MUSICIAN. Those suits they are wearing look tacky as hell. The mandolin player has class. That is all. Good day.

  • @TheAmazingBrand0 I'm sorry, I didn't know you were a musician.

  • @TheAmazingBrand0 Holy Crap! Its TheAmazingBrand0, you are amazing! Thanks for doing what you do.

  • THIS IS SO SOPHISTICATED !!

  • Contrary to most comments, I like the singing.

  • fucking rocks

  • this cover is...godlike

  • GOO

  • Chris Thiele looks like Jude Law

  • good till the chap started singing.

  • Thanks for sharing this @nerdist. I do like it. I do. #dividendsfrompodcasts

  • @marcellob1 Agreed, I'd never have heard it otherwise!

  • holy shit. i have no reason to play music if there's monsters out there that are already this incredible.

  • beautifull music!!!! really impressive. but i wish they werent singing. no ofence, is just pure thom york's voice addiction

  • @xarmanhskafragos it just sounds weird because they're bluegrass musicians

  • how did they perfectly emulate that loop on acoustic guitar? O.o

  • @ri394 By picking on the other side of the bridge that holds the strings ;)

  • hard to imagine a better original artist/cover artist combination

  • this is amazing

  • what tuner is Thile using?

  • his voice doesn't really suit it...

    pretty good nonetheless

  • @gergywergy123 the album is a whole lot better, you can check it out on itunes, its got the recorded song as a bonus.

  • @chbobcats20 what album is it on?

  • @DaisyDoodleDandy Its on the "AntiFogmatic" album, their new one, but it was on the deluxe album with the bonus songs. I know you can buy the song by itself on iTunes from the deluxe album.

  • Yes! That was great, I can't believe the sounds they're getting out of those instruments. Awesome.

  • i AM CONFUSED, IS THIS A RADIOHEAD SONG OR PUNCH BROTHERS SONG?

  • @stanradio Radiohead song, Punch Brothers covered it

  • This group obviously has:

    1) good taste in music

    2) talent in playing their instruments

    3) awesome arranging skills (most impressive imo)

  • i thought this song was impossible to cover... OMG this guys are genius

  • Singer has an awesome voice.

  • HO- LEE SHIITT. This is so incredibly awesome.

  • SIMPLY AMAZING!!!!

  • this may be one of the best radiohead covers I've heard thus far

  • They're a reasonable band, get off their case.

  • WOWOWOWOWOW

  • The use of the banjo for feedback and the guitars percussion are the best parts! My earhole just jizzed!

  • Whoa....that kicked ass!

  • Oh my... I thought all Radiohead covers are shit... until now :)

  • That mandolin is gorgeous!

  • awesome

  • the moment he started to sing i got goosebumps... its an amazing cover :)

  • FANTASTIC job emulating the electronic noises

  • um. wow. i am stunned.

  • haha so fucking awesome

  • the bass line sounds like a blues take on the downward spiral

  • This is awesome!

  • wow

  • awesome

  • I get hard every time at the end of this when Chris goes nuts. It's got to be the most amazing ending ever.

  • NICE WORK

  • WOW<WOW<WOW<WOW<WOW

  • i never thought there i say this from a radiohead cover but that's better than the original

  • oh wonderful

  • Quasi quasi sono migliori delle originali. Punch Brothers SPACCANO.

  • This is why I love youtube, so you can see stuff like this!

  • Neither RH nor these guys let loose when it got tense, there's so much potential for that spot! The first thing I'd do with time travel is ship Hendrix's ass to England and lock him in a recording room with Yorke. I don't think the universe could handle the awesomeness that would come of it though.

This is still the shit though

  • amazing!!

  • actually, this was cool. but SYBARITE5 is WAY better. you guys should check them out!

  • @JESSISINHO2011: Thanks for the suggestion. Actually, I like this one better. Strange, because I'm a a big fan of classical. I just think the mood is truer in this one than the Sybarite5 version. Sybarite5 version is really dissonant. Feels a slight bit off.

  • @BillClintonn

really? idk. i like Sybarite5 more. lol. i feel like this one is too gloomy or something. idk. but its still good i guess. the Sybarite5 one is more interesting ot me.

  • I think RH should give these guys massive respect. bravo :)))

  • @obserwer slazem se :DDDDDDD

  • i never imagined anyone doing a cover of this. and so perfect!

  • yeah... and i love gabes voice in this... its different than it usually is.. me likey

  • I saw Punch Brothers in a 120-year-old school auditorium in Madison, Georgia in September. It's probably in my top ten shows of all time. They are mesmerizingly brilliant.

If you like this, I highly recommend tracking them down and seeing them live.

  • Saw them last night enjoyed it so much talent just amazing

  • they have another radiohead cover that is brilliant - morning bell

  • i love this guys voice!

  • Thus is an excellent cover. Some people just ruin songs when they cover it, particullary when they change the style/instruments a lot, but this had an excellent result.

  • saw them live in Aspen.... wow is all i can say.... this is what got me hooked on them...

  • Outstanding!

  • that is amazing!!!!!!

  • holy fuck this is incredible

  • I love the Punch Brothers' Radiohead covers. I'd buy a whole album of them.

  • points just for attempting.

  • bellissimo! strepitoso.

  • Wow..I love this. Thom Yorke would be proud

  • I will never get over their ability to render the synths so perfectly in a bluegrass quintet. It is a huge testament to their abilities not just as musicians, but as listeners. So much nuance here...

  • Oh my god!

  • well said.
