I mean, I saw the forum post of this project, You guys made the battery by yourself and everything, Could you simly use premade batterys (Lithium or Acid... such as car batterys for exemple) And get a pretty good power out of them ?

@DobsQc of cause you could use other kinds of battery, with different results. LiPO would give good results. And forget about "car battery" - these are waste of money.

what controller do you use?

@smarfi I used Infineon 18fet controller, but really can't recommend it. It's just not upto the job. These big RC motors are not mateable with any traditional controllers.

What is the Top speed?

currently limited to 70 km/h. Without limitation could do around 100-110 km/h.

@dastarcev This is just a proof of concept with a small battery intended to be used on a bicycle, so the total range is only 20 km.

@circuitdotlt i think it has enough power and that is not problem, but battery is bigger problem. Do you have any solution how to enlarge range or this project will just stay as concept?

@dastarcev I have started a company since then and have a lot of serious work now (on EV stuff), so this project is postponed. No idea when I will find some time to get back at it.

@dastarcev I know. My other work has a lot of potential, too. The only thing it is not that easy to show or understand. We design battery management systems for electric vehicles and energy storage facilities. One bit of those can be used in electric scooters like this one.

Sad reality of today: you can't do everything alone. Good product requires many employees and many months of work. And that's only to develop a little black box inside the vehicle. There are many boxes... :)
