  • very sexy car.

  • that sounds pretty pissed off... what thumper does she have, "thumpr, mother thumpr, or big mother thumpr?"

  • @MrAss707 lol, mutha thumpr I like that "pretty pissed" comment thanks for watching

  • A bro where did you get the bottom spoiler the chin spoiler i think its called. i've been looking everywhere for it.

  • @hulk3606

i bought mine from classic industries that one on the car is a plastic one they have a steel one also... good luck friend

  • @fatstercat Thanks a bunch

  • whats the cam brand you are useing lift& duration, hydraulic or roller, whats been done to the motor? looking for the same kind of idle

  • That does sound good.

  • do u have any underdrive pullys or anything or is ur idle set low cuz im lookin for some cams an i want that deep low rumble but loud

  • @TheP4l no underdrive pulleys idle there was around 600 to 650 rpm

  • What Series of Thrush Tanks

  • @ALVIE78744 not sure of the series but they're the aluminized fully welded ones like 29 bucks in the summit magazine .great deal !!!!

  • man I love the sound of that gear drive. What a sweet, sweet ride! Hell of a nice job all the way around!

  • @vonjager thanks man

  • HATE THE LOUD GEAR DRIVE

  • Awesome Ride! I have a '73 and think yours sounds killer. What exhaust do you have starting with the headers back?

  • @TorqueMnstr summit 2 1/2 " aluminized f body exhaust kit. The mufflers that come with the kit I tossed and got some thrush welded mufflers. thanks for the comment

  • Is that timing gears whining?

  • Nice car o.e..................

  • All that money and no K&N air filter?

  • @ExtremePeppers oh well maybe in the future

  • @ExtremePeppers why it has a carb? its "cold air intake" is that air filter(disk looking thingy on the top of manifold lol) & that fat ass hood scoop! its gettin plenty of fresh air, i promise! lol

  • @BULLET9992 You do know K&N makes "disk looking thingies" for carburetor's also? Its just a inexpensive item that will work better.

  • @ExtremePeppers but carbs & their filters were created and used before the days of heavy factory engine restriction. so a k&n would create an unnoticeable effect. HOWEVER they may look better than his.

  • Listen to that gear drive whiiine

  • stock heads , the only upgrades on them are springs, retainers, seals, roller tipsand push rods I'm looking at a set of 2.02 alumies for it should wake it up a bit more

  • what type of heads are you running? And I LOVE the way your car sounds and love the gear drive also!!

  • whats the duration and lift

  • @waynebaize 287/305 duration .489/.476 lift lobe separation is 110 degrees

  • @fatstercat did you get it from summit

  • @dirtbikedude100 yes i did

  • @fatstercat

That is advertised duration right and not at .050 lift or am I wrong ?.

  • that thang is so clean

  • @fatstercat yeah it did thanks alot!

  • @fatstercat will it work with a mostly stock 350? Or does it require a certain cr,heads, headers, etc.

  • @81snketr you can put it in with a mostly stock 350 but you really should get a carb intake package that will suit the cam. Exhaust manifolds will work but headers breathe easier and the heads can be stock hope this helped

  • Will this cam work if I have power steering?

  • @81snketr i have power steering and power brakes no problems you'll need at least a 2800 stall converter for this cam though

  • Sounds awesome. what causes that whining?

  • @muscle1983 timing gear

  • @fatstercat I do personally like that choppy idle together with the whining. It sounds a bit like it was supercharged!

  • where in mass are you? I might have you paint my 72, great job

  • only regret is I wish I had more money to throw in a blown 502 in it but answer to your question is vaccum is fine and no regrets

  • @fatstercat what size carb are yor running i have almost same motor i am running a 670 holley always smells rich i was told to run a 600 for street just curious my motor is same down to the heads i am useing vortec heads

  • @MIKE84bowtie I have an edelbrock 600 cfm the car loves it on the street those carbs in my opinion are great holleys are good but very tempermental you have to keep adjusting the carb every time the weather changes try jetting that holley down and see what happens

  • @MIKE84bowtie I was told he Edelbrock 600 cfm carb was a great street carb that gives power and economy. I am currently building my corvettes motor up with about the same stuff as this video (thumper cam, hedman hedders, gm performance gear drive) and im gonna get the 600 carb as well. Should work pretty good.

  • @MIKE84bowtie I was told the Edelbrock 600 cfm carb was an awsome street carb with performance and economy for easy driving conditions, im gonna put one on my Vette very soon, i just ordered my thumper cam and hedman hedders, so the quadra jets gotta go

  • any regrets building a big cam engine ?? does it have good vac?

  • I hate those stinking gear drives.

  • 2500 is whats in my truck now, im going to get a 3500.

  • material finish paint and clear reducers hardeners ran me about 800 bucks the primers filler sand papers about 400

  • How much was that paintjob? I'm interested in painting my 76 the same color.

  • what color is that it rocks is that a metallic burnt orange?

  • @88monster sunburst orange its a 95 gm color they used on the avalanches

  • sounds great! not a big fan of the gear drives tho cuz of the drive train damage they can do.

  • @crawlin82 thats why I'm ripping it out back to the double roller

  • @fatstercat me too man ive taken mine out and also put the chain back on

  • @fatstercat what damages to the drive train could possibly be done through the timing set?

  • @inferno135

Some people think that the gear drive tranfers harmonics to the crankshaft, it doesnt harm anything.

  • @6SpeedVert but its loud as hell though, transfers harmonics to my ears lol

  • awesome ride man that things sounds badass!!!!!!

  • Nothing better than a choppy sounding Chevy. There's a beautiful '68 RS rolling around town here where I live!

  • Respond to this video... nice !!! the first gens are a work of art, I love those.....second gens are'nt too bad either

  • @fatstercat do you have a gear drive in there?

  • @EASI24 yes the summit noisy a little to noisy though

  • Sweet! forget the haters.

  • sounds great! beautiful car!

  • nice paint!

  • yeah it made readers rides I was stoked thanks man

  • man i swear i saw this car in chp damn fin ride my friend

  • that bad boy looks amazing! nice work

  • Amazing work. That is a bad ass camaro. Sounds awesome. Enjoy it!

  • beautiful car

  • gear drives blow.

  • @tpearson27 yeah I agree money I should have put elsewhere

  • I had that same color in a '73 Z-28 but with white stripes. What nice memories. Great video!

  • Though my dream car is still a '69 Camaro SS, I purchased a '90 Mustang GT 5.0 V8 Standard as my first project car. I have a new found respect for Ford but I'm still in love with Chevy. I'm very excited to get an E Cam on my Mustang :) Nothing better than pure American muscle :}

  • what kinda muffler?? thanks

  • @usnavyseals99 thrush welded 2 1/4

  • what kinda gear drive>?

  • @usnavyseals99 summit noisy

  • @fatstercat yes very noisy haha

  • I wish the engine bay in mine will look that clean one day.

  • How much compression n which thumpr is that

  • god listen to all that fuckin noise.. fuckin love it.

  • nice sounds great! im getting a thumpr cam for my 89 camaro

  • @Joeyad4 I think you'll be happy with it I am

  • @fatstercat

lol He'll be happy with any cam other than stock in those 305's.

  • mutha thumpr duration 287/305 .498/.476 lift lobe separation 110 degrees

  • what cam size of cam is it?

  • did you rebuild your engine? if you did how much did it cost?

  • @thugstylef no machine work on the motor was done it was already bored .30 over so I got a rebuild kit out of summit I don't have all the slips but total about 1300 dollars for every thing gaskets, valvesprings, cam and lifters, rings, bearings,hv oil pump. now all the accessories ie intake ,carb, headers, bracketry, distributer that was purchased over time at swap meets so i don't know how much that stuff costs off the shelf.

  • hey nice camaro

me and my dad are doing one for me.

i was wondering if you knew the igsact cam in it.

    thanks.

  • if you view all my comments the specs on the cam are there good luck with your project

  • getting rid of the geardrive its starting to make me nuts when I drive it too long wrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, where's the exedrin?

  • @fatstercat I know what you mean, I have a gear drive and a blower and I can barely hear the radio even when its turned all the way up.

  • what type of intake do u have?

  • @chevroletiroc its an edelbrock dual plane

  • ooooh she a beast!!!!

  • nice... love them camaro's

  • what type of compression do u have

  • i could listen to that sound all day!

  • Is shit the only word in your vocabulary? They say people that swear are actually mentally retarded so that would explain alot with you. I bet you suck cock for a dollar you obese weazing retarded nigger.

  • its called a gear drive you cock sucking homo

  • ...

  • Nice ride,Is that a custom power steering bracket or did you purchase it? The cam and gear drive sound great .Nice job blending the rear quaters to the rear vallance, the car looks and sounds awesome!!!

  • @crazyfish332 well crazy fish funny thing about the bracket speaking of crazy my FREIND jose fabbed it for me he's really good at fabrication and such. and you must have a keen eye to pick up on those details its eerie almost as though you were right there watching.

  • use "shit" enough?

  • ok thanks!

  • if you put a flat tappet cam in dont you have to mod the heads? i thought it was with the hydraulic cam you didnt have to change anything

  • @TheRatrod didn't have to do a thing just dropped in the new lifters that are hydraulic flat tappet and away I went

  • Awesome camaro, looks clean and sounds mean! just wondering what kind of mufflers your running or if its just straight pipes?

  • @timd4e thrush aluminized 2 1/4 " 29. bucks in summit catalog awsome deal they're the welded ones

  • Yeah, which Thumpr cam is that?

  • mutha thumpa flat tappet 287/305 .489/.476 lift just under.500 so you don't need to do any mods on the heads

  • How streetable is the car? How's vacuum for brakes? How does it behave sitting a stop light? How about cold weather?

Sorry about all the questions, I've just been really considering this cam for my Camaro, which is my daily so I'm afraid of going too aggressive.

  • what year is tha motor

  • I checked the stamping and it ended up being a 73 block but not original to the car though

  • Comment removed

  • very streetable power brakes and vacuum are fine you got to have at least a 2700 stall .I have a 3600 stall thats too steep. cold weather don't really take it out but takes a bit to warm up all in all I'm very pleased with the cam

  • what do you have done to your motor? And what cam is that? do you remember? Thanks nice car

  • bored .30 over stock heads 4 relief flat top pistons mutha thumpr flat tappet cam and springs dual plane edlbrock intake edlebrock carb 600 cfm still in the works for some 2.02 heads it goes allright but could use some more steam

  • @fatstercat yea I just bought the big mutha thumper for my s10 and I got a 650. machinist said it will be close might need a bigger carb.

  • @Hankhill90210 and at least a 2500 2700 rpm stall converter

  • excellent car all the way around no doubt.

  • just damn sweeeeettt!!!

  • Very, Very nice.:)

  • Sounds and looks awesome!!!
